The Novotel was a welcome relief from the hustle and bustle of Cairo. The room was huge- in fact two rooms. It was quiet and clean with good facilities. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Especially Emir the waiter who looked after me.

I checked in last min to get away from a hotel I didn’t feel safe as a solo traveler at. This hotel is gated with some at the gate and a dog they walked around the car. At the door it’s a bag check like the airport very quick. Staff was fast with help and check in took about 2 mins bel hop took my things to my room for me. Hotel quite beautiful clean and nice will stay again. Free shuttle to the airport every 30 mins on time.

Clean modern airport hotel, with comfortable beds. It was badly let down however by 2 issues - the shuttle and the food. Shuttle - advertised as free 24 hour service. On arriving to Cairo however it is extremely difficult to actually use it. You have to ring the hotel reception and wait 30 minutes, which isn’t easy unless you have an Egyptian mobile. They ignored my messages sent in advance with our flight details, so we had a stressful wait in the blazing heat with our toddler. The Italian food (Primavera restaurant, beside the pool) - the pizzas had NO tomato on them so were basically cheesy bread with toppings, and the “tenderloin” beef was inedible. The “risotto” was just plain rice in a bowl served upside down. We tried to highlight this to staff but were ignored and had to pay the full amount.

Called for shuttle, was told to call shuttle ourselves and given number. This should not happen, staff at hotel should call shuttle for us. Second driver of shuttle did nothing except pick us up. We lifted our bags into truck, he sat. When we got to hotel he asked for tip. Pretty bad image for Novotel. Front desk check in Amr was great. Very efficient and helpful.

The shuttle was easy to grab and liked that the bar was open 24/7. Rooms were clean and perfect for landing for a layover while facilities offered made you feel like you were at a resort rather than a ‘landing ground’. Prices were fair and would visit again

The staff, room, location, and food are excellent. We experienced problems with the room bathroom. It would be nice to have more trees, bushes, flowers, especially around pools - it was a bit intimidating to go to a pool - people could see you very well from the restaurant windows.

Our first room reeked of cigarette and non of the outlets worked. They were quick to switch our room though which was nice. Our Hotels.com booking said there was complimentary breakfast but the guy was giving us a hard time saying that’s not a thing. This place is just OK. Better than a motel, but not luxurious by any means.

This is a large airport hotel with all the facilities one could hope for. The lobby was busy at all times but there was always someone around to answer questions. There are several restaurants adjacent to the lobby and 2 outdoor pools. Our room was typical with 2 twin beds even though we were told we would have one larger bed. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a decent size. The holel offered a free shuttle service to/from the airport.

The Novotel Cairo is a veryb good, convenient hotel at a very good price near the Airport. The rooms are nice and quiet and it doesn't take long to get into Cairo, especially the Heliopolis area. The only downside is that the hotel needs some refurishment work as some rooms are very tired. Ask for rooms in the extension bulding for newer, nicer rooms. The Staff are exceptionally kind & accommodating. Nothing is too much work for them. Abdel at reception was especially helpful during my stay. He was always able to help me with any questions about where to go, where to eat and to also help me change my room with minimum fuss. An excellent employee.

Good transit hotel. Well appointed and clean. Staff were efficient. Decent breakfast. There is a shuttle on the hour and half hour, but it's not on time. Luckily, that did not affect our travels.

The beds were extremely comfortable. The room was small but had everything we needed including a fridge and coffee maker. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was full and delicious.

I've stayed at this property a number of times and every time nothing has changed in terms of the recommendations. The only good thing I found was the porter and luggage staff, and the dining area and the fact it's situated next to my terminal. The reception staff are very rude and abrupt, rooms are very basic. It needs a facelift and the staff need to be retrained. We waited for the shuttle bus for 30 minutes, when it arrived at its designated spot it drove past us - even after waving it down to stop-this was infuriating when we have a small family.

Only stayed one night but my experience was good. The rooms were very nice and seemed to have been recently renovated. The outdoor grill and lounge served very good food and the servers were very friendly and efficient.

The hotel was convenient and the staff friendly and helpful. Generally the hotel was clean and we found no cause for concern. There were minor issues that when asked we told them about. The safety rail in the bath was hanging off. The basin was cracked, the plug didn’t work in one of our rooms leaving the water in the basin. Bags were scanned every time we entered the hotel but that was quite positive as it did take on board everyone’s security. The shuttle to and from the airport was good. Emails were answered to pretty much immediately. The gift shops were nice to have in the hotel. None of our cards worked there debit or credit. We had visa and Amex although we were able to draw on the smaller cash machine. So a notice at these cash machines for foreign travellers for information for which machine to use would have been helpful. You had to use your room card to activate the lift. Although we were taken up to our rooms we didn’t get told this so relied on other guests to show us again a notice would solve it The food was nice and each meal has to be paid for at the time. Around 610 EP for 2 breakfasts and 1140 EP for 2 for dinner excluding drinks from the bar. It was buffet style. Particularly nice was the vegetable tagine and the potatoes. The down side of mealtime was that staff were constantly coming to ask for feedback upon average it was 3 per meal. Having said that for the price of the hotel it was good and we would consider it again.

The property is very close to the airport and has a free shuttle. A free anything in Egypt is amazing. This is a property that cycles people in and out constantly. The staff are not all that attentive likely because of that. However, one of the men in the dining room was so lovely when I told him I was sick. Mohammed got me soup broth and rice. The first time. I'd eaten in 2 days. I was so happy. He gets five gold stars.
