"It was a great, comfortable pleasant hotel, with bright, spacious cheery rooms, and a breakfast room with delightful views of the sea. Location was perfect, accessible to everything, and some rooms had views of the sea as well. I also enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and their desire to be helpful and accommodating. I was very pleased with my stay at the hotel and glad I booked there."

"Great staff extremely helpful. Breakfast over the top! Location close to beach and walkable restaurants. Room is large for Europe. Street parking only. It was available but it’s not peak season. Laundry is overpriced. Great experience"

"The hotel was a great location for our arrival to the island and to acclimate for a few days after a long flight. Parking was convenient and breakfast delicious as well as complimentary. The restaurant had tasty food too. Everything was perfect!"

"On arrival I was greeted warmly and given instructions of the area :) He was so good at giving me tips. The cleaner made my holiday. She spoke Italian, I spoke English, we hugged we kissed every day I was there! Made me feel like so at home. And breakfast I was greeted with the kindest staff, always served with a smile. I was given another room as the first one had an issue with the shower as the water wasn’t contained to one section so I spent the night worried that the water would spill into my room area. The phone didn’t work which reception confirmed and the second room, a few calls were directed to my room for an unknown reason! All in good humour. I would still recommend this place purely on the attention given when I had an issue. Scala is super busy so don’t take it personally if they don’t come right away. The wait is worth it. Had the seafood soup with burrata after a long journey and oh vei!"

"Helpful and polite staff. Clean and functioning room. More electric sockets near the bed would be useful, it only had one. The restaurant served good food, and the breakfast was good, but it was too hot inside the breakfast room. Also, a few more signs pointing out where the elevators and garage are would be helpful."

"It’s a very nice hotel, well located, helpful staff, good breakfast and relaxing spa. It was disappointing to learn right before the stay that we would be charged 50 € for use of the spa. That is usually included in comparable hotels in Italy, in our experience."

"Incredible experience at this wonderful hotel. Even though we arrived pretty early, they were able to check us in to one of our rooms right away. They also generously upgraded our other room. The location of the property is very central and within walking distance to all the main points of interest in Cagliari as well as many great stores to shop, restaurants, cafes, and bars. The hotel itself was formerly a palace so there’s some pretty cool history to it and impressive architecture, while still having amenities with the latest technology and contemporary style. The rooms (more accurately suites) were very spacious and clean, with comfortable bedding. They also had balconies to take in the lovely view of the city and sea the hotel boasts. The real highlight of our stay, though, was the amazing staff. Isabella at reception warmly greeted us at check in and personally escorted us to our room. She also asked us a lot of good questions so she could then make recommendations of places to go and things to do based on our interests, all of which were on point. They even gave us a map that they made their notes for us on! The bell desk and servers in the restaurant were also extremely friendly and attentive. Speaking of the restaurant, their breakfast is to die for. Everything we had (which was quite a bit) was delicious. I believe they’re included on the Michelin guide, so that tells you something. Big thank you to the hotel for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable."
