"I loved the spacious feel of the room with Japanese screen doors. It was light and airy. The bed was sumptuous. The decor throughout is a mix of sleek and rustic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved this hotel!"

"Overall I’ve had excellent stays at Spruce Peak Lodge. The rooms are lovely. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. Alpine Hall and Tipsy Trout restaurants are delicious. Outdoor pool and hot tubs are relaxing and surrounded by fantastic views. The only slight hiccup I’ve encountered both times are with the spa amenities. Each time the women’s space has been either out of commission entirely or broke while I was using it and I had to leave. That said, the spa did supply a voucher to cover amenities for a future visit. I just hope when I return to use it that the amenities are working."

"This is probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms are very dated and furniture is old and in terrible shape. Our first morning, there was no hot water for showers. There was dog poop in the hallway. Our room's smoke detector was wrapped in plastic wrap because someone obviously was smoking in the room. There was no hair dryer, ironing board, iron or phone in the room. No elevator. It's a family run hotel and it needs a major update. I wouldn't stay here again even if the room was free."

"The room was small. No chair, no couch, no place to put luggage out of the way. The shower stall door was broken and the bathroom was very small with no room to move around with two people. My husband fixed the blind in our room because it was broken. The water took 30 sec or more to get hot. Loved the breakfast."

"The staff was great especially Jim who was the valet and met us at 11:30 PM. He had a luggage cart for us and watched the car until I returned to take it to the rental company. The room was clean, breakfast was great. I have stayed at other AC hotels and all have been wonderful."
