I had a great stay. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The Spa was great! The breakfast was good. The room was spacious but could use some paint here or there.

It's location could not be better; it's a truly nice neighbourhood, walking short distances to major attractions. The staff is truly friendly and helpful. However, if anything was not as expected was the water temperature in the swimming pool (rather cold!).

Rooms are somewhat out dated. The bathroom had ants and the shower head was not working properly. This was not fixed during the stay. Bring your own toiletries. Breakfast is ok. Staff is very nice. The hotel is not properly identified from the outside so it may be confusing when you get there. The pillows are TERRIBLE. Overall a very average place. Not 4 stars.

Fantastic experience
Very special hotel. Family feeling. Great staff wonderful breakfast and fantastic location. We felt very safe walking around this neighborhood and the entire area was very clean. Highly recommend it to others.

a small hotel wit attentive staff ideally located to explore Buenos Aires in a quiet area walking distance to the Recoleta cemetery and also Galerias Pacifico - a bit longer 30 minutes but certainly doable

Customer service is very bad. I requested an airport pick and they forgot to send the driver, when I called the hotel the answer was: take a taxi (tomá un taxi). Customer service at the front desk was poor, the agent was very disrespectful.

The only complaint that I would make is that all of the reception staff were very reserved and very cold. Because the hotel is a very small boutique hotel, in my view this created a very negative and unpleasant vibe around the place. Initially I just put it down to it being a difficult time in Argentina right now. However, I went to the Four Seasons Hotel next door for lunch one day and I just could not get over how the different the staff were there - for example: they were beyond helpful, went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and taken care of, never made you feel like you were inconveniencing them in any way, and were always very warm and smiled, they always looked happy to see you - this even includes the staff opening the doors to let you into the hotel itself....and when I think things through the same is also true of all of the tour guides that I met on the tours I went on. Obviously these things are down to personal taste, but a warm and friendly service means everything to me when travelling as it affects my trip overall.... so I would never stay at the Serena hotel again and recommend that this hotel is avoided if this is something that is important to you too.

only comment I would make is that the shower requires a glass door to prevent the watere from spilling out into the bathroom - at elast for room 406. Otherwise perfect.

Excellent boutique hotel in great location but staff sloppy on important details. Despite request months prior for a quiet room, one on the busy street was assigned- had to change for subsequent nights. Airport taxi was a no-show, with no apologies. And price advised for taxi back to the airport was not accepted by the driver! Not the currency!

I booked and paid for an executive room and got a standard room instead. Staff said to talk to Expedia wich I did, requesting a refund of the difference. Still waiting for a response.

Great location but dark cold hotel.
The hotel is in a great location. It is however starting to look tired, and is very dark and unwelcoming. The gym has old and minimal equipment, the swimming pool is tiny and uninviting. The outside space is dark and we were bitten by insects and in it. It would make a good spot for one or two days in the area, but not for longer.
