Very vintage looking property but to beautiful standard. Large bedrooms, large bathroom. We was very lucky to get a balcony. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable of the area, with plenty a helpful advise on where to visit and eat etc.

Being tired of American style corporate hotels this made a refreshing change with its style and architecture. It had an extensive shaded outside terrace. The immediate area lacked amenities but it was well located, only about 15 mins walk to the Old Town for example

I booked this hotel for a couples retreat in the city. When I arrived to check in everything was going well….until I was asked “are you American?” Then I was told there were no more rooms and they would arrange for me to stay at the Scala Boutique hotel. (Look for my review of it. I recommend it over this one). So I can’t review my stay, but here is my review of my experience. The Hotel is absolutely beautiful and once I was inside the gate on the property I was in love with the building and that continued into the lobby. It is stunning. The surrounding area led to a lot of concerns. There is paid public parking around the corner but even the receptionist said “I wouldn’t park in this neighborhood, even the paid parking”. The street in front of the hotel was completed removed for repairs which made finding the hotel a challenge. The neighborhood is not nice at all, and I didn’t notice anything in the immediate walking area. If you don’t have a car, and you don’t plan on walking anywhere, this hotel could be a great place for a romantic stay.

The hotel has great character- very old and beautiful , everything inside fits the style of the hotel and they have taken great care to make it like that. Small, boutique hotel so we always felt well taken care of, Oana at reception was great to recommend places to eat, trips to make . Breakfast was also great. Really enjoyed our stay there.

Beautiful grand hotel
The room was amazing, huge with the highest ceilings. The only issues were the wooden floor was SO loud that if you walked on it at night, your partner will wake. Also, the room was astonishingly warm. Staff were amazing, shout out to Oana - you could not ask for nicer, funnier and more helpful front desk staff!

Grand old Romanian hotel
Staff was very helpful. The only thing we didn't like was the walk to Old Town. The area is not the best for walking,but the hotel is a beautiful grand old Romanian hotel.

Decor and room very attractive. Staff very willing but for example reception had no idea how to buy a bus ticket. Breakfast waitress very pleasant but talked too much for first time in morning and due to that rushing about trying to catch up.

Grand and old style building about 10 mins walk from old town. Check in was a little painful (had to ask about safe, WiFi, times etc etc, rather than be told openly) But all good otherwise - and breakfast in particular was great. The lady who runs the breakfast setup is just fantastic.

Beautiful old building with lots of character Very nice courtyard to sit out and enjoy an evening drink. Great staff. Decent breakfast. Would definitely use again Concerned about surrounding area looking a bit grotty but no problems Slightly difficult too find entrance

Lovely hotel, easy walk to the Old Town. Had a nice room, Number 10. Breakfast was very nice, Donia the waitress was lovely! A large grand Victorian type mansion house, very impressive. I took a little portable DVD player with me as most TV Channels were in Romanian but if you have access on phone etc then not needed. An easy city centre to walk around, beautiful architecture!

Disappointing.
It is a beautiful building. The staff are not professional enough. The breakfast was just average. When we were about to leave the lady at the countor told they couln't find the TV remote control. It might have got lost when the cleaners removed the bedsheet. If you can afford £288 for three nights I don't think you will think of nicking an old remote.

Boutique Hotel Close to Old Town
A Grand Old Dame close to Old Town. Staff was very friendly and very helpful As hosts and tour and restaurant suggestions. Large comfortable rooms with a large variety for breakfast fare. Nice bar and outdoor dining and lounging area.
