The receptionist was amazing the owner I assume was feeding the ducks but it’s a sketchy neighborhood I think people live at this hotel year round our door barely closed looked like it had been kicked in multiple times .the kitchens are great for longer stays but that’s pretty much where it ends .and there’s really nothing there .other then the historic stuff

This property was nice - room clean, great location to restaurants and shopping. The only issue was I wish the mattress wasn’t lumpy and soft. The hotel is dated, but for the price, I can’t complain too much.

Best stay ever
All the staff were very nice the owner was very helpful with the stay. The staff was professional probably the best hospitality that I have ever had from a company. Always so helpful and never once did I not see a staff member with out a smile. I’m very impressed with the entire stay with magnolia inn.

It is very affordable, so hard to be too fussy. There are leak stains in bathroom ceiling and i did see a roach. Bed was comfortable and clean and I would stay again for that price.

White lady at front desk at night is rude..
The lady in the front is rude I own a business and I asked the lady can she move her vehicle and she did but she had some things to say about the vehicle telling me I could park in somewhere else when I got told by I’m assuming the manager I could park in the front of the motel I would suggest get better service at the front desk if you want to have happy people.

Not the same experience i enjoyed in the past
The motel is a different owner or manager. I have stayed at Magnolia Inn everytime i travel from Florida/Virginia and this was a disappointing experience. I spilt some water on the floor in room and wiped up with white wash cloth and it was completely black when done mopping up water. Floors were very dirty. The bed was clean but the pillows were tiny and useless. My past stays included a gift bag at check in, which included two bottles of water and some snacks. Clearly as the saying goes, you get what you paid for.

I booked a double queen room here for 3 nights and instantly regretted it when we got there. We drove for 17 hours to be there for my son's naval graduation. The room we were given had stains on the bedding, the beds were hard as a rock, the shower was hanging out of large hole in the wall, the pillows had no protective covering, just a thin pillowcase and the remote didn't work to the tv. Also, my mother in law called in advance when she booked her room to let them know she would need one downstairs because she is disabled and has trouble climbing the stairs. They said they would have a room for her. Once we arrived there happens to be no downstairs rooms available. Needless to say, we did not stay the entire time. We got a much nicer room across the way at comfort suites for the remainder of our visit.

Good for overnight stop
This was just an overnight to rest and break up my drive home. I had stayed here before and the price was right. I had a very comfortable king bed with requested accessible bathroom. One towel was stained so that’s why I didn’t rate excellent on cleanliness; all else was clean. Micro and fridge is in room but no breakfast unless you pay extra. It met my needs.

I try to be as respectful as possible. However the room had so many bugs and spiders I almost slept in my car. The room smelled , was broken down, many things rusted from humidity, and wood furniture and wood in poor condition. The room was also dirty. As for the Continental breakfast, it was coffee, the mini chocolate donuts and mini muffins. Both were about the size of a half dollar. That was it. The pool also looks as if no one had cleaned it. I was so grossed out I went and bought some bug spray, slept in my clothes on a beach towel I had and didn't do anything but leave as soon as I woke up. I can understand this is an inexpensive hotel, but that doesn't mean it should be cheap, dirty, disgusting and not maintained.

My husband and I needed a place to stay for the night in our travels to Florida. We arrived late evening and left early in the morning. The staff both times were pleasant and helpful. We were both pleasantly surprised with the motel. The room looked like it had just been redone. The floors were LVP and not carpet (which to me is much cleaner). If I could submit pictures, I would. The room was clean and had a pleasant smell to it. Kept cool all evening, and the mattress was comfortable. It not only had a refrigerator, but a microwave and a glass top two burner stove top. It was tucked away far in the back, so there was no road noise, yet offered easy access back onto I-95. We were looking for a cheap place to stay, and Magnolia offered that. They did not offer the breakfast buffet, but had fresh coffee and some muffins. We would stay here again should our travels take us that way.

Rooms fairly clean, towels could use some improvement, bathmat dirty and stained. Housekeeping is too aggressive, we had two different housekeepers bother us before 9am inquiring if we were checking out. Here’s a concept, let your patrons rest until checkout time!

The property is not bad. I was amazed thru didnt have an elevator but the staff was exceptional. The morning coffee was hot. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family
