Walkable to cable beac and a very short walk to the local bus. The rooms were a great size and very clean. The area around the pool was quite small so I guess it would be hard to find a spot if the hotel was busy. The breakfast was huge plus there was the option of ordering a cooked dish as well. My only gripe was that during happy hour it was hard to find someone to serve the drinks

Asked for a King bed got 2 singles. Price per night was daylight robbery. Curtains were old and holey.Cockroaches in bathroom. Could not get airport transfer at 6.00am.

On investigation your booking was upgraded into a courtyard room and our rates are dynamically priced with the Broome Market. All of our rooms are kings beds with a number being able to be split into singles however i see in your reservation that your room was to be made into a king room. I was unaware of the and sincerely apologise for this and will be addressing this with our renovation team for our upcoming renovations. I am unaware of any flights requiring a 6:00am transfer and our team could have arranged transport for this and again apologise that this could not be accommodated. I have spoken to our housekeeping department regarding cleaning standards and to ensure that all rooms are inspected more thoroughly.Kindest Regards,Simon Beckett

The facilities were OK but they have absolutely no idea of how to provide decent customer service. E.g. I asked whether we could have our room made up within the next four hours and was told they couldn't because they were focusing on getting rooms ready for the next group of customers to come in. I've never had that happen before - even in cheaper, suburban motels. Also, my vegetarian friend asked if they possibly provide some croissants without ham in them at breakfast - not a chance! All in all, terrible value for what they charge -but, beware, pretty consistent with hospitality options in Broome.

In regards to your room servicing we did experience an extremely busy day and our housekeeping team were prioritizing our arrival rooms for our guaranteed check in time of 2 pm. I have informed the team to ensure individual room servicing requests are attended to between arrival services. I also understand that this could have been communicated better with you. In regards to the croissant issue I do apologise for this and my team are always eager to assist and again i feel that this was a genuine misunderstanding. In regards to our rates we are positioned mid way within the market to provide a more value for money product and are the only property in Broome to provide a complimentary breakfast. The property is OK, but not exceptional for the price paid. Despite the staff being very friendly and helpful, I did not feel there was enough of them to maintain the expected levels of housekeeping for this type of hotel. The rooms were good, but are starting to feel tired and would benefit from a refresh.

Lovely staff however property under utilised. Pool was freezing- went down to the villas and beach for swims instead. Pity as it is a nice pool- when asked about pool temperature was told people complain it’s too hot- I don’t believe this for a minute. No one was getting in and spoke to numerous guests who said same about how cold it was. We travelled hours from Melbourne for heat lol. Limited food facilities, no after hours access to food. Nothing in room fridges other than water. Beds very comfortable. Gardens nice. Minimal staffing on site.

This is my second stay at Kimberley Sands. The layout of the resort is very Balinese style and looks wonderful at night. The room was extremely clean and relaxing however I could hear highway traffic which I found to be stressful.

Never ever will I stay there again and Wotif should be ashamed of their pricing. Restaurant closed indefinitely. Bar closed indefinitely. Rooms not serviced Reception closes at 5pm Phones removed from rooms No vending machines to get any food AND they then wanted to charge $70 for breakfast for two. No communication from staff and no signage about staff issues. Wouldn’t order a taxi or tell us where to get food. 0/10 Room was nice as was the pool but only 3 umbrellas for the entire pool.

The Kimberly Sands staff weren’t very friendly. The room was falling apart with the cupboards falling apart. They mention that they only did light house keeping of the 4 days 2 of the days they didn’t do any housekeeping. At least could empty the bins. The bathroom was not very clean and the bad design of the shower the floor flooded every time someone had a shower.

Kimberley Sands Resort is grossly overpriced – facilities and room conditions just don’t come anywhere near what you’d expect for $495 per night. However, this is Broome – the entire town is just overpriced and over rated.

I was stranded for a night because I was unable to get into the hotel after hours and by that I mean 8pm. There is no one at the reception starting 5pm and the „emergency intercom“ asks you to leave a message. There is no way to get in touch with anyone after 5pm. I have asked for a refund and still have not heard from management.
