Have stayed many times at The peninsula and just love the location, rooms and the great rooftop bar.
It badly needs to install Nespresso machines in each room,as $18 for a room service coffee is taking the mickey....
The Mansfield was a good hotel with a exceptional location. The place was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negative thing I would have to say is the bathrooms are very small.
My daughters and I had a real nice time this past weekend! The location was great, so close to Central Park, Time Square and all.
My only negative was the bathroom, the door didn't open all the way and hit the toilet!
The staff was great!
My girls and I enjoyed our first time in NY!
Hotel was in a great location. Had a little trouble checking in. We arrived at the hotel at 11am. The guy at the front desk was very friendly and told us if we check back every so often we might be able to check into a room early. When I went back 2 hours later I spoke with a lady and told her my name and she didnt even type anything in the computer and just told me No, and that 12 people were in front of me to get a room. I wasnt very impressed with her attitude but decided id wait till 4pm, which was when check in time was. When I went back to her she STILL didnt even look at her computer and continued to tell me there was no rooms ready yet. I decided to go to the other booth and speak with a younger gentleman who had me checked in and room card ready within 2 mins! Aside from that, the room was a little small but it was very comfy. I didnt really need a huge room because I was only in there to sleep. Location is very close to all things like times square and a few blocks from empire state building.
My stay at the Shoreham was very enjoyable, as soon as I walked in the staff were very warm and welcoming and quickly processed my reservation.
The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable, bathroom was great; plenty of fresh towels, great toiletries and very good shower.
My only (very slight) problem is that I felt the room was very dark, and the lighting wasn't adequate for anything other than ambiance, my window didn't get any natural light so it was sometimes hard to have a guess at what time it was.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel St James while in New York City. It is centrally located in the heart of Manhattan which made it a breeze to get to my appointments and destinations right on time.
The brightest lights of this big city are found in the Broadway - Times Square neighborhood. Experience live entertainment, such as musicals and plays, or tour Rockefeller Center. The iconic St. Patrick's Cathedral graces the entire block of Fifth and 50th and welcomes more than 5 million visitors each year. This thriving area filled with pedestrians also hosts NBC, ABC, MTV, and NASDAQ.
