Perfect location, 4 blocks to Times Square so close but not to close to all the tourists! DIfferent subway lines with 2 minutes walk and Central park is only 7 blocks away! We had a suite which was huge, smart TV with hbo and loads of wardrobe space.
Would stay again
We observed that the weekend staff were NOT us friendly, helpful and professional as the weekday staff.
The concierge, Robert and his weekday staff went out of their way to ensure that all hotel guests (not just us) enjoyed the hotel amenities and their overall experience in NYC - thank you and great job !
Fantastic hotel, very stylish. Great location, just off Times Square. The room was clean and up together. Very comfortable bed.
The only thing was, although very atmospheric, the lighting in the foyer and lifts was just too dark.
Great hotel, would recommend it to anyone.
"Excellent hotel close to Times Square and Broadway"
Spent a week at the hotel and had a really nice large room and bathroom
Staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful
Hotel bistro is really good with good fair priced food
Bar is good with lots of choice
Staying at the Salisbury was a total delight for me and my family (2 adults, a teenager, and a 10-year-old). I knew the location was wonderful, but we were all pleased with how professional and friendly the staff were--and how generous they were with their time in bringing us roll-away beds and helping us find an alternate elevator down when the main elevator was too crowded. The hotel is older and dignified, and I know some people would like more renovations, but I prefer the hotel as it is--it feels like stepping back in time. Everything was clean and spacious, the water pressure was wonderful, and again, the staff were all marvelous. I would stay here again any time.
The brightest lights of this big city are found in the Broadway - Times Square neighborhood. Experience live entertainment, such as musicals and plays, or tour Rockefeller Center. The iconic St. Patrick's Cathedral graces the entire block of Fifth and 50th and welcomes more than 5 million visitors each year. This thriving area filled with pedestrians also hosts NBC, ABC, MTV, and NASDAQ.
