holiday at SeaView Cottage
The property was delightful and beautifully decorated. There was a problem with parking and we were blocked in on many days. There were builders with two vans nearly every day we were there which meant that other occupants of the other cottages had to park where they could which caused the problems we had.

Nice comfortable cottage but chilly
We would have appreciated a small welcome pack i.e. milk etc, as is provided in other properties we have rented, thereby saving us having to go to the shop as soon as we arrived.

Centrally-Located & Well Appointed Small House
Good s/c property for mobile adults; would accommodate children, but confined spaces. Steepish stairs and limited shady back yard with table & chairs. Modern kitchen appliances and cottagey furnishings. Parking tricky, as narrow shared area. Great, central location.

Not bad but not great
Just about ok only one single bed made up.. it was very cold when we arrived it would have been nice if the heating had been on.solidified coffee in coffee tin.. no books in lounge ..dishwasher needed attention looked full of limescale..much further to the cottage than shown on the website.. very large clock in kitchen..no battery!. I think just a little more attention to detail would be good ..

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We take great pride in the presentation of our cottage so its disappointing to hear a guest has not enjoyed their stay. We don't have our own website so we are unclear on the point made around distance and not sure what the distance referred to is from and to but can personally vouch for the fact that it takes 5 minutes to walk to the town centre and Viking Bay. Its difficult for us to comment on the choice of some of the interior finishes mentioned as our guest feedback suggests that they love them. Our cleaners have been to check the dishwasher today to ensure it meets our high standards. Thank you again for taking the time to give us feedback. Emily

Loved the cottage, most equipped property I've stayed at. Very clean and in a great location for restaurants, bars and shops. A very friendly informative owner, always happy to communicate, would definitely stay again at No 8!

We had a lovely stay in Seaview Cottage - we didn’t want to leave! The location is perfect - quiet but very central. The cottage had everything that we needed. It is cosy and charming. The beds are very comfortable and we felt very much at home. We’d love to stay again.

October break
Lovely three night stay in this house - it was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. An easy walk into town and the beach and the local shopkeepers and restaurant staff were all really friendly and helpful. The only issue is with the access to the house in the car - I know it has been mentioned in previous reviews but it is VERY tricky to negotiate and you need to be pretty confident at driving in reverse unless you drive a very small car!

Very close to centre of Broadstairs where there are lots of lovely bars and restaurants. Cottage spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Sheltered little court yard with rattan furniture so great for evening drinks. Would not hesitate to return.

Lovely little cottage.
We very much enjoyed our stay in this delightful cottage. It was spotlessly clean, the kitchen was a good size and well equipped, with a nice sized dining table. The whole property was beautifully decorated and as described. The only downside was the parking which was quite tricky! Definitely not suitable for a large car, this is mentioned in the description but maybe not emphasised enough. The booking process and communication with the owner was very good. Overall we would be be happy to recommend this property to others.

Midweek getaway
The cottage is exactly as described. Spotlessly clean, small but perfectly proportioned. The kitchen had lovely crockery, lots of glasses and everything you need including tea towels and sponges. The bedlinen and bath towels were soft and fluffy, beds were very comfortable and lovely pillows. The small courtyard garden was pretty and had a nice table and chairs. The location was perfect, 2 minutes walk to the high street and and a short stroll to the beach - The Pathway is down a very narrow lane, you definitely need to drive a smallish car! We thoroughly enjoyed Broadstairs, lots of great restaurants, we particularly enjoyed the Thai restaurant, Siam Kitchen. We would 100% recommend Fishermans Cottage, you won't be disappointed.

Sea View Cottage
It is a very well maintained property and is very comfortable. The only criticism is the cracked sink in the kitchen. The main problem however is the parking. Very difficult to get down the track to the cottage and it was difficult not to get wedged in by other cars parking in the nearby cottages. This outlined earlier in the cottage details.

Lovely quiet location but so close to the town
We were there for the folk festival so it was perfect - a quick walk to the main street and so quiet. Only a few minor issues - the washing machine did not work and only 2 dishwasher tablets provided which seemed a little mean given what we were paying for the week!

Very well and thoughtfully equipped.
This is my second stay in Seaview Cottage and once again I appreciated the care that had gone into converting and preparing it for guests. If you suddenly think I need X, if you look you will find it. The cottage is very quiet and cool after a hot day on the beach. It was also nice, because I arrived on a Sunday, that there were basic supplies in the cupboard. (Similarly I left more basic supplies for the next occupants.) There are lots of places to eat in Broadstairs but we found that Taylors, which looks more like a bar, is in fact a very good restaurant and the owner is about to add greenery and fairy lights so it will look more inviting. The Royal Albion Hotel has a wonderful assistant manager, Aram Rawf, who arrived as an unaccompanied 17yr old Kurdish refugee and is now a local hero. Worth eating there to hear his story. Highly recommended in every way though the very steep stairs make it unsuitable for small children or people with mobility problems.

Perfect seaside cottage
This was our first time at seaview cottage and as soon as we opened the door we knew we had found the right place. It's beautifully decorated and furnished and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The outdoor space is really lovely and perfect for an evening glass of wine. The location is just perfect. It's tucked away down a quiet lane but no more than a few hundred metres from the seafront, bars and restaurants. You get the perfect mix of a great location with your own privacy. Overall a beautiful cottage in a fantastic location which we would recommmend to family and friends

Lovely cottage, shame about the garden.
The cottage is beautiful. Cannot fault it at all. The parking is a problem, the 'allocated' space is in the centre of an 'L' shape meaning you cannot get in or out when the neighbours are there. Also our car was too big (Kia Venga). We then parked on side streets for the week a bit of a walk away, not a problem for us but maybe if you have a swanky car?! The garden was very unkempt. It was dark and tbh grubby. It is very dark and doesn't get any sun so we found drying washing a problem. Our son got shower gel on a towel. I would've washed it but wouldn't have been able to dry it in time for his bath and they had only left one towel per person. We then lost part of our deposit because the towel had marks on. As the owner of a holiday let myself I find this petty...So, to summarised fabulous location and beautiful cottage but parking tricky and garden dark.

A hidden gem!
Lovely little cottage, beautifully decorated with lots of seaside charm. Very clean, well equipped. Small, but plenty of room for a family of 4. Hidden away up a narrow little road (we wondered where we were going when we first arrived!) but so handy for the beach & Broadstairs itself, with all its cafes, restaurants, tea rooms & quaint little shops. We had a fantastic long weekend & the kids didn't want to leave! The only downside (although not really a downside!) is the parking as it is really tight. You need to be good at reversing! But still it was great to have a space to park as car parks in the centre of town seemed quite expensive. All in all, highly recommend the cottage & location..........my boys are already asking when they can go back!!

Pretty cottage, off the beaten track, but very close to beach & centre.
We had a lovely weekend break. The cottage is compact but not lacking in any amenity. The decor and all the furnishings are immaculate. We weren't able to take advantage of the outdoor space, owing to the weather, but although small, it looked inviting for a pre dinner glass of wine. We didn't require a car as we had a family gathering in the town, so we made use of the fast train service from St Pancras (in London), great service. Plus from the cottage, everything was within walking distance to the numerous restaurants, bars & pubs in the town. We would recommend a visit. We'll be back!

charming cottage in central location
The cottage is lovely and very centrally situated, so although the parking is, as mentioned, a bit tricky it would be easy to manage without a car. The station is only 10 minutes away via a short cut a neighbour told me about, and the centre of town and beach even less than that. Broadstairs is a charming seaside town with many choices for eating out, shopping and plenty to see and do.

central location!
An ideal situation from which to explore the town, and also very near the sea. A pity the cottage felt quite cool most of the time (at Easter) as it gets so little sun during the day at this time of year (managed to sit on the patio in the morning for about an hour when the sun was on it). Good equipment in the cottage and the wifi was certainly a plus. Easy to find a restaurant with so many within a short walk. Parking was tricky and I would not want to arrive in the dark, but the location and the facilities suited us well.

Everything you need for a wonderful seaside break
Just a short review to say we absolutely loved our stay in Seaview Cottage. The cottage is charming and larger than I thought it would be. It was only my daughter and I but you could have a family of 4 in there with no problem, especially in the kids were younger and didn't mind sharing a bedroom. It was beautifully decorated and had everything you might want to make you stay comfortable (nice towels too!). It's great to have parking right outside but if your renting a car maybe opt for a smaller car as the space is tight and the drive down the road can be tricky. Broadstairs is a wonderful seaside town to stay in with a great beach and lots of good pubs and restaurants to enjoy. All of which is 5-10 minutes walk from the cottage. We'll be back for sure.

This cottage is at the end of a quiet lane but is literally a few minutes walk from the beach, bars and restaurants. Broadstairs is a really nice town, we stayed on bonfire night and the firework display and entertainment put on by the Town Council was free and excellent!
