"Absolutely amazing evening meal, a gourmet delight. We had the 'plats' but several mid courses, amuse-bouches etc arrived too and everything was delicious. The room was small though and very little hot shower water in the morning (although tap water was hot). Breakfast was okay but not special."

"Bonjour, De mariage à St Julien de pinet samedi soir, nous avons préféré dormir près du lieu plutot que de prendre la route la nuit. "Très bien pour une nuit. Décoration atrocement vieillotte. Moquette et literie à changer d'urgence. Pas de ventilation, il faisait vraiment très chaud dans la chambre. Prix du petit déjeuner trop élevé. Par contre le personnel est aimable et les repas très bons. Le cadre est sympa et le petit village très mignon. "

"Very characterful place full of twists and turns. Did not find the pool in the basement until we were about to leave. Very helpful owners. Took his van out of the garage to let us park there. Good food. Really tries to explain what the menus were. Bit dated but very pleasant"

"The rooms on the 1st floor were nice, better than other floors, and the breakfast was also good. Location good, with a municipal carpark opposite. However, the hotel room doors (heavy firedoors, of course) do not have silent closing on them, and the noise when everyone was going to bed, and getting up in the morning, was terrible! Impossible to sleep. Then in the morning they had no hot water anywhere in the hotel. We complained from 7.45am onwards, they gave us keys to other rooms, but nothing. By 9.30 it still wasn't fixed, and we had to be on our way. A real pity. "
