Easter Ski Break
Great hotel for a quick Easter ski weekend. We drove from UK and parked in Bourg Saint-Maurice getting the furnicular up to Arc 1600 and there's a short walk to the hotel. The lifts are a short walk too. The food included in the half board option was excellent and there were additional options such as raclette available for an extra cost.

Hard to find
While I like my stay at the Arcadien, I had a hard finding it from the funicular and I spent a lot of time wandering about with a heavy ski bag. Due it the heavy snow all of signs were blocked and the walkways were covered.

Good value. Friendly staff.
Great value for money - cosy hot tub and sauna, good location near Combette ski lift. Food - soups not great but good quality main courses, overall pretty good. One negative is that hotel doesn't have its own car park, so a short walk to the car if you are driving.

I was returning here with my son - our last visit being in 2011 - we have been skiing around the Alps quite a bit since then. Arcadien is just as we remembered it. The accommodation is of a generally high standard and the food is outstanding. We were last here at the start of the season and this visit was at the end. There are just a few signs that some repairs/freshening up are needed. Nothing too serious at this stage - and may just be because of the high-season wear and tear.

Very comfortable room. Bathroom was especially clean which is good! Access to pool is shared with the adjoining apartments so can get crowded; you need to show proof as hotel guest (easily done by a ticket from reception) in order to gain access. Excellent hearty breakfast to start your day at 12 Euro (8 Euro for children) if you haven't paid for this in advance.

We liked this hotel, and would recommend it. The restaurant has only two options in the evening -don't bother if you're vegetarian, as there are no vege options. Also, there was no balcony on the room. The staff were very nice, and we would stay there again.

Great hotel for the money
Loved the attentiveness of the staff to help. First skiing trip on my own so needed the crutch and they didn't falter under the weight. Really helped me sort out transport and point me in the right direction for what I needed. Laura on reception was a beacon for that service.

We stayed here in Jan 2013 for our first skiing holiday and we can't emphasise enough how good the hotel was. The staff were very welcoming and always very happy to greet/help you. We don't know much French, but they were nice about it and translated the menu when necessary. We stayed half board and so had breakfast and a 3 course evening meal each day. The food is excellent - better than most restaurants we've used at home! Varied and plenty of it. The room was plenty big enough for the two of us and very clean, warm and comfortable. Resort wise, Arc 1600 is very quiet in the evenings but we were grateful of that as we were really tired! It was so hasstle free getting off the Eurostar and being at our hotel so quickly. We had lessons in Arc 1800 with Arc Adventures - they were also excellent. There were lots more lifts and slopes there to use. We got there on the bus each day as our lessons started at 9.30am which meant we didn't have time to ski there due to when the lifts opened, but you could ski to 1800 and there was a route back to use in the evenings. The evening run was labelled as a blue...although one part of it was quite hairy, but thankfully quite brief! The first day we went down that part without our skis on! I suspect we will be back next year and possibly even in the summer to check out the mountain biking tracks.

Nice position and view. Poll and spa superb!
Great staying in summer season, I'd really recommend this hotel. Very nice staff, clean and big room and bathroom, balcony with mountain view. Restaurants, shops and facilities very close. We parked our motorbike really close. Pool is surplus, and also the SPA, but too hot for me!

Notre sejour était court, donc on ne peut pas en dire beaucoup plus. On n'a meme pas pu profiter du spa, car notre séjour etait trop court, c'etait juste une halte sur notre parcours, mais l'endroit etait tres chouette et le personnel tres sympa.

Lors de la réservation le moyen d’y accéder n’a pas été donné, résultat très difficile de trouver l’entrée et pas de parking proche, avec des bagages cela devient un véritable parcours... l’accueil très chaleureux et les explications du personnel nous font presque oublier tout ceci. Chambre confortable mais qui commence à être vétuste, des petits travaux s’imposent. Mais soyez rassurés : rien qui pourrait gâcher le séjour. Piscine et spa en accès gratuit, sur demande, cadre agréable, autant l’été qu’en hiver.

Hotel bien situé, au calme, avec un personnel tres sympathique. Le petit dej est plus que complet et le repas du soir en demi pension, simplement excellent. Le Spah est par contre tout petit.En haute saison, après la journée de ski, il doit y avoir de l'attente. On reviendra :)

Nous avons été déçus de ne pas avoir de chambre avec balcon , comme indiqué sur le site ; mais la déco de la chambre est très sympa. Le petit déjeuner est copieux. L'hôtel n'a pas de véritable parking. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

L'hotel a été refait mais reste sur la base d'une vieille construction (pas d'ascenseur, pas de ventilation dans la salle de bain). Le Wifi ne fonctionne pas de manière optimal et enfin nous n'avons pas eu la chambre prévu à la réservation qui prévoyait un grand lit et devait avoir un balcon (lit jumeaux et pas de balcon). Comme l'hôtel était plein, pas de proposition de l'hôtel pour nous reloger.

Un sejour mitige par un accueil déplorable je cite "vous logerez au troisième sous sol" " j ai besoin de votre cb au cas ou il y aurait des dégradations" notre cb notée sur un vulgaire cahier nous attendons toujours l appel de l hotel pour nous confirmer la destruction de cette page de cahier. J oublie les chips dans la boite a mouchoir de la salle de bain, les bestioles sur la moquette, un cagibi de 20 m2 pour 4, un petit déjeuner a la mode industrielle et les taches dans la baignoire .

Super Lage in Le Arc
Hotel in toller Lage, Zimmer sind sauber und gut eingerichtet.Sauna und der Hot Tube nicht zu empfehlen da schon sehr ungepflegt.In der Sauna lösten sich schon die Bretter der Liegeflächen.Ruheraum ist nicht vorhanden.Würde das Hotel aber wieder buchen.Frühstück für Frankreich sehr gut.
