Hotel Pullman is close to the wine museum. It is not so far away from driving to vineyards. The front desk staff are kind and helpful. They have a great parking lot which is not usually available in many hotels in France.

Disappointing
There was no spa - although it is included in Hotels.com description. Only good thing about this hotel was that it was right outside the tram stop and the ring road, so very easy to get into the city by tram; and away from the city by car. There were 2 (false) fire alarms from 7.15am on Saturday. The receptionist, when asked, said they were due to a new cleaner but didn't even apologise for the early wake up. No information in rooms, or on TV, about hotel, just a QR code which pointed to very limited info. Didn't have breakfast in hotel as it was 20.50 euros.

Hotel staff was very accommodating. Room was very nice & spacious with a good view of the lake. Nice location on the outskirt of Bordeaux. Would recommend.

When booking, I asked for 2 beds and got 1 bed. I had to ask them to change the room. I wanted to take a shower when i got to the room, but there was no body wash/ soap. I had to ask the front desk for soap. There was a convenient nespresso machine and tea kettle in the room. But there were no cups in the room to drink it. When i asked the front desk for cups, they told me could not help me and advised me to ask the hotel restaurant for a cup which i thought was strange. Why should i have to go fetch items that should already be in my room? Thats their job. The hotel looks nice in the lobby and the rooms were clean. But the carpeting in the halls needed vacuuming. Rooms were quiet.The train was conveniently located across the street. Pool was nice. Dinner in the restaurant was bland and mediocre, but the servers were nice. Breakfast was good but overpriced. There were few food options in the neighborhood and not too many other conveniences like a grocery, pharmacy, or convenience stores.

Beautiful river side hotel!
The hotel was beautiful and clean, with attentive staff and a lovely swimming pool. There’s a metro right outside, linking you directly to the city centre. There’s also bike rental right outside, for a great ride around the lake. Perfect!

In a hotel of this price level, I thought it bizarre for the management to close the bar at 12 on a Saturday night when it was still very busy. I've come to expect the strange in customer focus in France but what type of business sense does this make? It appears the unions are still holding the whip hand in the 21st century!

Great for heading north.
I've stayed at this hotel several times, ideal if heading north when arriving late at the airport as the hotel is only 20mins away. Easy parking, large hotel with good sized rooms. Only down side is that the restaurant isnt open late but you have the option of room service.

Genrally the staff on reception and in the bar and restaurant were good, however, house keeping is bery poor. One day our room was not touched when we got back at 9 pm. Other days there was dirty bed linen and a cleaning bottle left in our room + no replacement paper cups. I did ask the chamber maid but she siad they had run out 3 days running. Breakfast was good but ran out of cooked, pastries and melon on 3 days.

Went there because of concert near by, staff was overwhelmed by the busy hotel, rooms were not ready on time, bar and restaurant staff running around like headless chickens. Maybe more suited for business travelers.

We got a very hot week in France with temperatures of more than 40o C and the air conditioning in the room would not go cold enough. We required a service maintenance, they did but nothing changed. We change the room and nothing changed. We spent 3 nights sleeping very bad because the room was very hot. I am sure the hotel was doing some kind of block down for the air conditioning in the rooms , because in the other hand, the lobby of the hotel was always good and cold.

Our stay with Pullman in Bordeaux!
We liked our room. It was roomy. The front desk was really friendly and outgoing. There was available parking which is a plus. The hotel is also dark and drab in the hall and lobby. They need to brighten it up a bit. The pool had a weird gate that was hard to open. The bartender didn’t seem to know what a vodka martini was and I had to google and show her the recipe and it was still incorrect. She didn’t follow the measurements. The location is far from the city center. We liked the pool. The buffet was not good for us. We like veggies and less carbs. It was very carb loaded! They did have soy milk for me.

Breakfast superb. First room a/c not working, window would not close tightly letting more hot air in. Kindly given a room across hall with working a/c. No offer to move luggage. Overall, property beginning to look a bit worn.

Location is isolated and when faced with a very restricted hotel dinner menu, we had to resort to driving and finding somewhere to eat. Public toilets were dirty and the pool area looks tired and needs a refurbishment.

Good stay in Bordeaux suburbs
The hotel was convenient for us as we were touring the wine regions and we needed a place easy to get to (without the traffic jams to get into and out of the city centre) with easy and safe car park. The tram in front of the hotel gave us quick and easy access to town 1 evening for visiting city centre and enjoy the local food culture. The renovated rooms (4th floor) are comfortable and well sound-proofed. Breakfast buffet is recommendable for european taste. Excellent free and fast wifi in room. Excellent bed.

This hotel had numerous issues. First and foremost, the bed was so hard, I woke up every morning with a terrible back ache, even my ribs hurt. The window wouldn’t close so I heard street noise constantly. The thermostat did not adjust the temperature in the room. The shower would steam up the entire room. Maid service was awful despite being tipped well. They never replaced items such as glasses, towels, wash cloths or bath floor mats. The bed only included a comforter, no top sheet and the bed was poorly made by the maids. The coffee maker in the room was corroded with hard water deposits. The gym equipment was at least 10 years old and didn’t work. We ordered room service and the food was ok. The restaurant isn’t opened on the weekends. The breakfast buffet included stale croissants and coffee wasn’t very good. The location on the city rail line was convenient. No garage parking. Definitely not worth the price. I should have stayed at a Super 8 Motel.

Had a terrible experience at the Pullman. The air conditioner in the room could not cool the room. The hotel staff examined it and could not do anything about it. Requested a fan at three different times so we could sleep at night. All requests were ignored. We could not get much sleep. The room smelled. Towels were old and torn. Instead of replacing it, housekeeping just folded the same towel. Clothes hangers were broken/fell off the rod; asked for replacement but nothing was done. At checkout discussed all these issues with two people at the reception. They took my email and said the manager will contact me. Have never heard back from them. This was a total waste of our money and ruined the tale end of our vacation. It was a big mistake to book this hotel through Expedia. Since the room was already paid for, we did not have other recourse.

Nice hotel good location
The hotel is about 15 mins outside the city with great tram links. Facilities are good and the room was excellent. Check in service was very good however the restaurant/ bar staff let the hotel down. Whether they were understaffed it was difficult to tell . They often forgot your drinks order and came back some time later to check what you’d ordered. Similarly in the restaurant the waiter took some time to take our order double checked it and my husband then received a completely different dish. By this time we were very hungry so he just ate it. He also ordered some fries with his meal these didn’t arrive at all.
