Hi Graham. Thank you so much for your great review, it's really appreciated and I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you again soon. Kind Regards
This hotel was even better than I expected. It's a Grade 2 listed building which is beautifully, and tastefully, decorated. Breakfast is only served at weekends but it was delicious and cheap. The bed was the most comfortable bed ever and the shower was so powerful that my husband told me it would 'sandblast my body' so not to turn it on full. A wonderful hotel with great staff that I would recommend to anyone.
Good bar, friendly staff, shame the kitchen wasn't working as they didn't have a chef when I stayed. The room was clean and tidy with a very comfy bed. All in all a good nights stay. I would have preferred of road parking though.

It was more of a pub with rooms rather than a hotel. Room ok and shower was great but was a band playing in bar two floors below on Sat night and so loud it couldve been next door.
Great find in the north west Greater Manchester area, the hotel/pub has obviously been upgraded recently. My double room was modern, very clean and comfortable, the staff in the pub were excellent and the food was good especially the breakfast. I don't visit this area very often but would happily stay here again, the beer was also decently priced.

Quaint lovely place. Friendly staff, clean rooms. The only thing was they didn't have food at this time as they had no cook. They are working to resolve the situation

Hi Melody. Thank you your great review, we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back soon.
The staff were warm, friendly and attentive. That makes such a difference. Room was clean. Radiators heated up well. Fantastic water pressure for the shower. Everything was good.
My second time staying at this property, lovely spacious room, sparkling clean, great staff, wonderful atmosphere, definitely my go to place when visiting the area.
My first love is location, then there’s the amazing team that make it feel like home, Dave,Warren, Sam, Lisa & Charlotte, there’s many more too, such a beautiful venue run by exceptional people, see you all again next year 💕💕
A large pub in a nice older building with rooms upstairs. The building itself must have been quite a draw in busier times, and still has a lot of charm. Since it wasn't purpose built as a hotel, the rooms (well, mine at least) have a slight quirkiness due to the conversion, which makes it so much more interesting than a clone hotel.
The bar downstairs serves many locals, but has plenty of space for a quieter meal should you wish. The food was fine, quick service. Definitely recommended on a budget.
Staff friendly and polite even when we checked in after midnight the general manager had a smile on his face and even offered to carry my wifes luggage to the 2nd floor all staff were amazing food in the restaurant was excellent and great value for money would defo recommend.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble! We always look for a room with a double and 2 singles as our kids are now too old to share a double so the family room at the top was perfect and very quiet!
Horrible experience!! We stayed with our little one on Saturday none has informed us that this is hotel with live music and DJ till late night!! We have complained to staff in the night several times us we couldn't sleep in our room because of the laud music!! The staff mislead us couple of times about the time when the party will finish !! We have paid for quiet night but we end up in the party with child!! The staff blamed Expedia that they should informed us about the loud music and parties on Saturday. I've checked Expedia website and Hotel website and nothing has been mentioned about that!!! Horrible experience
A traditional style English pub, that appears to be recently fully refurbished. Lovely grand staircase leading up to well appointed, clean and comfortable rooms. Food and drinks were great value tasty. TIP; ask for a room with a view of the town or Rivington Pike.
A lovely building restored rightfully. We were in room 6 which is located at the very front of the building, lovely comfortable bed but could definitely benefit from having a kingsize and the duvet was far too heavy add the heat, noise from the main road and people leaving the pub it was a rather disturbed nights sleep. The staff were lovely, very friendly and the chef cooks the most delicious food. More clarity needed regarding parking as it said there was on site parking but there wasn’t and we ended up having to find a space down the road. Also the bedrooms are on the 3rd floor with no lift so bear this in mind. Also guests at the front of the building should be told whether a function is on as the function room is middle floor at the front of the building - I’m not sure you would get much sleep if something was on.

Hi Charlene,
I'd first like to say thank you for you review and the positive feed back in regards to the building and our food.
I'm sorry to hear that the noise from the road and people leaving made for a bad nights sleep. in regards to our parking I will update this as it shouldn't advise on-site parking.
In relation to our function room there is very little noise (if any at all) that gets through to the hotel rooms but would always advise guest if there is a function on when they book.
If you would like to contact myself directly to see if we can do anything for you then please don't hessite to do this.
Kind Regards
