Hi SusanUnfortunately, because of ferry problems the whole town was full, you were lucky to get a room!Speights Ale house has only started to close on a Monday (due to staff shortages like most places these days.)I do not understand why the cleaner would have knocked on your door unless she had your room mixed up for a service as it is not their job to do this. We apologize and will have a word with our staff.

Thank you for your review Anna. we are really sorry about the party but as soon as we realised what was going on, we shut it down and they all left within 10 minutes. Unfortunately we couldn''t hear the noise from our house and it wasn't until I did the last check for the night that I heard what was going on from a large company group that was staying here, they thought they were here for the night but I assure u they were all gone by 11pm after I told them all off.
