Excellent service from start to finish. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Berlin, have had to for conferences etc but always return to the Bristol out of choice. Superb staff and facilities. Quite frankly proper old style Berlin. Quite perfect.
The Melia Berlin was an excellent choice for a long weekend. We checked in early but our room wasn't ready until 3pm, we went for a walk and returned later to be given our room card, it was room 650, we were surprised that it had a great view of the bridge and the river Spree, the room itself was of a good size for a European hotel and even though it was two single beds when we asked them it was made up as a double bed. We found that all the staff were happy to chat and gave us information on the attractions and a map with everything highlighted. Berlin is a must place to visit as there is so much to see, we will definitely go back again.
I stayed this hotel for four nights with my son. The hotel is located near Potsdamer Platz station and convenient for both business and sightseeing. All staffs were kind and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. Since I used "room and breakfast package, we enjoyed delicious breakfast buffet. I highly recommend this hotel. The only and small problem was a baggage delivery. When we checked in, it took about 45 minutes to get our baggage delivered to our room and I had to contact the front desk three times. But it was a small problem and again I think it is one of the excellent hotels in Berlin.
The tone was set when we arrived and before we had crossed the threshold our baggage had disappeared with the doormen, we were welcomed by name (identified by our luggage tags) and promptly upgraded from a room with two double beds and view, to a junior suite. The room was excellently appointed, with so many gadgets and thoughtful touches that we were still finding things out while leaving (e.g. the mirror in the bathroom has an integral tv screen!). It is an expensive hotel, but unlike other places I have stayed I felt the cost was more than matched by the standard of accommodation and service. Highlights included watching a firework display in the distance from the uncrowded rooftop terrace while a pianist played, use of the beautiful spa facilities with no one else around, and being offered a bottle of water when I returned from a morning run around the Tiergarten.

The Waldorf Astoria Berlin is under construction in the center of Berlin*s City West and will open in early 2012. The hotel …More
This was a wonderful hotel, comfy beds, spacious rooms, lovely staff, Susan in particular. Our room looked over the Brandenburg Gate which, with October lights festival was spectacular. The food at the Michelin restaurant was as good as it should have been ( but the experience was slightly marred by being overcharged by 560 euros- it was sorted out efficiently). I would go back again tomorrow if I could.
The hotel de rome is a well run nice hotel in a good position for sightseeing in Berlin. Near the museum island but also not far from Brandenburg gate reichstag etc.
Staff very efficient and helpful- breakfast waitresses, concierge and in the bar.
This was our second visit and we highly recommend the hotel. Basically a new veneer on am old building - works well
