Not bad
Nice variety for the breakfast, rooms are immaculate, though if you need to get any work done via WiFi, expect to go to a nearby coffee shop. They use a tiny T-Mobile hotspot for all guests, you're lucky to get 0.1Mbps. If hotel management read this, WiFi is NOT an area you should cheap out on.

Would stay at Ivbergs again
I spent 3 nights here after getting each night for $52 (tax included) in a room meant for 1 person. The room was very tiny (smaller than most rooms in Europe) but oddly enough had a large shower and a fairly good lay out (think college dorm for 1 person). It had 1 twin size bed but the bed was very comfortable. They have a very strong AC unit. American quality! The location is a bit far from where most of the attractions are (think 25-45 minutes on average) but you are right next to the U2 subway which a lot of the attractions are on, and on a main bus route to Zoological Gardens (you can do a lot of transfers from there). There were also 2 supermarkets, a couple of steakhouses which looked pretty good, a bakery, and a few casual restaurants (all were Turkish I think which I get sick of easily) all within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Getting from TXL Airport to the hotel was easy. Staff not friendly but helpful. Getting from TXL Airport to the hotel was easy. Just take the airport bus to a subway stop (forgot which one it was) and then connect from the subway straight to the hotel. You only need 1 one way ticket for this for 2.80. If you need to do laundry like I did, there is SB Washsalon which is 2 subway stops away in a fairly nice area. Not going to lie, it was very tricky figuring out how to use the washing machine there (strangely though the driers were very easy to figure out). Booked this hotel for a 3 day break to city , stayed in the area of Wilmesdorf before and liked it , but found this hotel a bit to far out of city, Hotel Staff on reception 2 okay , 2 not very friendly , and gave us poor information including a 20 Euro difference on a taxi price , Breakfast was ok and staff very nice , room was very good , Tv was changed as picture was rubbish , cleaning of room not so good as drinking glasses in room not washed due to my wife’s lipstick still on glass after room cleaned ? Plus points were Tube station close by and 3 nice eateries including our favourite Joes , which we used ,

Concert stay
I found a fantastic welcoming receptionist on the morning shift, he was a pleasure to deal with. The room was just right for my one night stay for a concert in Berlin, perfect for gigs at the Olympia Stadium

Ideal hotel in western Berlin for our 2 day trip!
Short but sweet stay in Berlin in between Christmas and New Year where myself and boyfriend stayed for two nights. We had breakfast just the one morning due to our flight home being very early the next morning. This had a nice, varied choice. The room itself was spacious and clean. Easy to get bruises from the wooden bed outer which was easy to hit when getting in and out! Beds not over comfortable but fair. Hotel in a good location for the nearest metro station which was Theodor-Heuss Platz. This was approx 30 minutes to Alexander Platz, a central station (with access to the majority of tourist attractions) and a linking station for the airport which was another 30 minutes.The hotel was on a main road and traffic could be heard at night as we were in a room on the front. We came across a couple of restaurants, there may have been more, in what was otherwise a quiet area. Overall a very nice stay. We had a great time in Berlin and the hotel was very good value for money. Would recommend.

Good base for city visit
My daughter and I Spent four nights at this conveniently located hotel only a couple of minutes' walk from the Ubahn. Based on other reviews re noise from road we asked for a room on a high floor and were given a rear facing room on fourth floor. Beds very comfortable and sufficient room to hang/store clothing etc. Very smart bathroom with shower etc. Plenty of hot water both at night and in the morning and hand and bath towels and bath mat changed daily. Bottled water also provided at a charge. Buffet breakfast excellent with 3 hot items ( different combinations each day) cold meats and cheeses, variety of breads and rolls, cereals and fruit salad , yoghurts, cakes, fruit juices etc. This provided an excellent start to a day's sightseeing. Would certainly recommend and consider for a return visit.

A Convenient Place to Stay
Ivbergs Hotel Berlin Messe is located close to the U bahn for quick access to the city. There are also restaurants close by with super markets close as well. I've stayed here a number of times and found the staff and hotel very friendly and clean. Breakfast is very good with a good and varied selection.

Ideal jump off point
We were very pleased with our choice, as soon as we arrived. The receptionist was very helpful, and friendly. Although we arrived a couple of hours early, we only had a short wait till our rooms were available. Apart from trying to borrow a cup, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The dining room staff were very good, and made sure there was always a good selection for everybody.

I stayed for one night, got a single bed room on the first floor. No view and opposite the vents! But the rooms itself is clean and functional. No fridge and the tv is probably 21'. Don't turn the tv loud or even mid way, neighbors will complain :) I always believe you get for what you pay. Breakfast is pretty standard, sausages and eggs and the spread. Worth mentioning, Sasha who works at the front desk has given me really good travelling tips and was patient. He deserves the credit. Much appreciated. We need more people like this in the hotel industry.

Had a very comfortable stay at this hotel, which I would recommend to anyone. It's situated about a minute's walk from the Theodor-Heuss-Platz U-bahn station, which makes it a convenient place to stay for those wishing to explore. Clean and safe, with friendly staff and possibly the best quality sleep I've ever had in a hotel (the place has great soundproofing and nice beds). The breakfast is good, with plenty of choice. My one, small gripe would be the wifi (or lack thereof), only one hour a day free :(

Ivbergs Hotel Berlin Messe was pretty good overall, but it is annoying that there is no wifi in the rooms. You have to pay separately for that (5 EURO for 24 hours). However it is conveniently located in relation to Tegel airport and Berlin central bus station, and there are plenty of places around it to eat. The breakfast is not included, but it is quite good (10 EURO extra).

Relatively easy to find hotel, but if someone travels with S-bahn be prepared for a 15min walk. U-bahn station is nearby. Very nice and helpful staff. Not only pretending to be so, really. An extra fine Steakhouse just on the opposite site of the road :-) Negative surprise: WLAN is not free of charge. You must buy a HOTSPOT card. The upside of this is, however, you can use the card all over the city over 24h on Telekom Hotspots. And another one, breakfast was not included in price. I should have looked, and it is available on request, but it was something new for me, although travelling a lot.

Nice modern hotel. Comfortable and clean room. The air conditioning was very nice considering how hot it was while in Berlin. The halls have motion censored lighting, which took a little too long to come on for my liking. Otherwise, an enjoyable stay.

A quaint little place in West Berlin
Excellent service. However, the reception lady was a little unwelcoming. The breakfast was expensive, but it was expected in Berlin. The location is great, with a U-bahn station really close to the place. However, if you are carrying non-German credit cards, be prepared to pay for train tickets/day passes with cash, the machine doesn't accept anything but German credit cards.

We are very happy about this hotel, for the price we've paid the quality was truly outstanding. Clean, comfortable, nice bathrooms, friendly staff, good breakfest, great location- not that far from centre. I wouldn't expect nothing more :)

In general, hotel was ok: clean, big enough, towels were change every day, near is subway station. We were surprised with the Internet policy (if you want to have wireless access to the Internet at your room, you need to pay for it additionally). Unfortunately, there was more. At the first day there was no hot water and heating was out of order - nobody told us about it (we realized it, when we tried to get a shower), so we were really cold. But accidents happen, it's understandable. Manager agreed to gave us 2nd day of parking for free, for our inconvenience. The real problem appeared, when we wanted to check out. It turned out that in our invoice there are 2 coffees and 2 souvenirs, instead of the parking fee for the 1st day (total amount was the same). I explained that we didn't buy any of this item, it was a payment for the parking. Although I understand there was disagreement with the invoice, but the way of receptionist behaved was unacceptable - he treated me like I wanted to defraud the hotel for a few euro. Finally, he called the manager and then he gave me (in very impolite way) the coin that is needed to open parking gate. He didn't even say 'goodbye'. I was shocked with his complete lack of professionalism. To be fair, during our stay we met also well mannered receptionists, but this man ruined our good opinion about the hotel. We were disappointed and we will never go there again.

Pleasent surroundings and staff really helpfull and friendly...... Only had breakfast whilst here ..hot food and a good choice of cereals , copious coffee and fruits juice. Occupied a single room very spacious with own toilet and shower...... House keeping carried out every morning to a high standard

What a bargain
For only about 38 Eurosthis hotel is all you could ask from a budget deal... Clean, quiet,, friendly, in A nice part of town and with a great cheap Italian restaurant only one minute along the road. Also hotel was close to a tube station. Highly recommend

Nice hotel close to Messe. While not in the center of town it is very close to the U-Bahn making it quite convenient. The neighborhood is nice with a good ice cream shop, restaurants, and grocery stores close by. The room is small but comfortable. The only thing is that Expedua lists the wifi as free, but it's 5 euros/day. The hood thing is that it then works anywhere in Europe wilt Telkin wifi.
