Best breakfast options of our whole trip in Europe! Plentiful array of delicious food. From fresh bread, fish, vegetables, homemade pate, yogurt cereal and fruit, to traditional options like bacon, sausages and scrambled eggs. Fresh jiuce. Even Green and ginger shots! Something for everyone in your party. Even alternate options like oat milk, and gluten free bread. Thank you chef for taking care of us! We were well fed and felt completely ready to tackle a full day of touring.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Heimen Hotel and was warmed by the exceptional service. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality that set the tone for the entire stay. The staff that worked the shift during my arrival at 6 in the morning demonstrated a level of attentiveness and professionalism that exceeded my expectations. She anticipated my needs before I even had to ask. Whether it was arranging early checkin, providing luggage storage, recommendations; she did so with grace and efficiency One standout feature of the hotel was their breakfast spread. The kitchen Team did a great job providing delicious and scrumptious breakfast to the people staying at Heimen Hotel. Moreover, the cleanliness and comfort of the accommodations were top-notch. The room was immaculate, with heated floor in the bathroom, water heater. Overall, the stay at Heimen Hotel was a memorabld and unforgettable experience. From the checkin to the breakfast spread, every guest would feel warmed by its people running the hotel

Best breakfast in Bergen. Lift out of action but receptionist carried my case up two flights of stairs. Staff very helpful and friendly. Called us a cab and let us make tea when we arrived back very wet. Really liked the ambience of the dining room beautifully decorated in modern Norwegian style. Well done we will be back.

We had a very comfortable stay for 3 nights, including a 2am arrival where we were cheerily greeted and made to feel welcome. The hotel was comfortable, clean and warm. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of food, and free tea and coffee were available for guests through the day. We even had some complimentary cake one afternoon. The location is very good, being across from Bryggen and a short walk to everywhere.

Very welcoming hotel with friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Lovely room. Very quiet and relaxing. Bed was REALLY comfortable. Great shower. Breakfast options were great, lots of choice but ‘hot’ food would have been better if it were actually served hot and the carrot sticks would be better peeled fresh each day. Nobody dives in to day old carrots. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate throughout the day was a really nice touch. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Super place to stay.

The cute hotel we booked is under renovation and we were instead redirected next door to a drab, noisy hotel. There was a sewage smell emanating from our bathroom and the bedside lamp was broken- someone had tried and failed to repair it with balloons, which I had to convince my wife were not condoms. Our room did not face the street, but we were inundated with the disco thump from a nearby club all Saturday night. The room was depressingly dark, but did have a window facing the hotel that we did book with its large windows.

Nice Hotel
Nice hotel, not too far from centre on a quiet street. % minutes from fish market, 10 minutes from aquarium. Great breakfast. Really helpful staff.

Clean room but thermostat didn’t work, window couldn’t be opened, making the room rather hot and stuffy. Bedside lamp didn’t work either. Good breakfast, friendly staff, within walking distance of city center.

Loud hotel on Friday and Saturday nights.
Bergen was very nice, have visited multiple times. First time at this hotel and was a little disappointed. The room was large and had a nice bathroom but was very noisy. The room right by the elevator and could hear everyone coming and going as well as outside the front of the hotel. Friday and Saturday nights were very loud. Could hear the traffic and people yelling on the streets and music from other places. Would definitely not stay here again. Asked for a change of rooms and the night attendant said they were fully booked. That is understandable but I could not understand why she could not get me a different room for the following two nights. Very disappointed as I was awaken multiple times on Friday and Saturday nights.

Two great things: 1)Location, you can walk anywhere. 2) Breakfast was excellent, but get there early because the tables fill up. Parking was tough, and expensive. They don’t do maid service. Front desk was stressed with tour buses unloading 40 people that needed to be placed.

Was reasonably close to the train station. Bryggen was a very short walk away. Had the largest bathroom of all the hotels we stayed in during our trip to Norway. AMAZING breakfast. Had a couple of bakeries and restaurants that were close by.

Very challenging to find the parking garage and was not close to the hotel. Rooms are dated but ok. Large bathroom. Breakfast was ok. Very crowded which made the small area challenging to get your food.

This was a great location for our trip to Bergen. We came in on the ferry from Flam and were able to walk to the hotel from the harbor - and able to walk from there to all the sights in city center and the waterfront. We were initially given a room with the wrong beds (queen instead of two twins) but the staff moved us to another room, which included an upgrade to a suite. The hotel is older, but well maintained and the breakfasts were delicious!

We absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is in the most wonderful location and is a quick walk to everything you need. The breakfast is very nice and the staff was very helpful. I cannot wait to come back next year.

We chose this hotel over any other centrally located because of the “available” parking for a fee. It was hard to find. The reception was inside the next building. We couldn’t find where to check in. The signs were unclear, after walking around the whole block we finally found the other hotel where we needed to check in. We had our car, entered the reception, asked about parking. She guides us to the paid parking. I asked as many questions as I could think of and she wasn’t very helpful. We did everything like she said and turns out that she “forgot” to sign us ip for the discounted parking. Her excuse eventually she was busy. There was no one else there when we checked in! Again, we chose this hotel over others because we knew we would have a car. Her lack of care put a dent on our first night in Norway for sure. On the plus side, the breakfast was great!
