The hotel is perfectly located on the harbour, directly across from historic Bryggen. The room was spacious and comfortable. Lighting was limited after dark. There was no phone in the room.

From guest service to great rooms to fabulous location,you cannot go wrong staying here. Practically everything in Bergen is in walking distance from this hotel. The bar is open and welcoming, and the breakfast in the morning is phenomenal. But back to the guest service: unbeatable. If I return to Bergen, I will without a doubt look to stay at the Clarion Hotel Admiral.

The staff, on our first visit were just amazing. We had our bags delivered to the wrong Clarion but within about half an hour, the wonderful Port -a - Service had delivered them to us. The staff at the Clarion were so helpful. Second visit: Staff wonderful but we were not as happy with the room. There were a number of issues but we have handed these to the reception and hopefully they will be dealt with.

Only criticism is that they wouldn’t check us in until 3:00 pm, and at that time there were mobs of people extending to outside the building- disorganized process.

The views from deluxe rooms with balcony are unsurpassed! Incredible view and serene view scape. There are no other hotels like it on the water in Bergen at the port.

Lady at front desk was super friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early. Beds were extremely comfortable. Room was hot but we opened the windows and it cooled off. Very little street noise. Great hotel and I would recommend.

I think our room must have been recently renovated. It was excellent! The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, baring none. Everything was modern and spotless. And the staff was exceptional helpful and nice.

Everything is superb, particularly loveeeeee their breakfast, and the receptionists are very friendly. Convenient and most of the places i wanted to explore are within walking distance. Only thing is the TV.

Excellent location and staff , amazing view
Amazing Excellent location and fantastic staff the view from the delux room of Bryggen was amazing. straight on view of the colored houses oppposite. there is balcony in this room from where you can take amazing photos of Bryggen. i strongly recommend this place. you can walk from here to to the fish market, restaurants,Galleriet shopping mall, Funicular to go up to Mount Floyen. the light rail to aiport is 5 to 7 minutes walk, the Flybussen from airport stops 5 minutes away.

My partner and I loved this hotel! It was within walking distance of all the major attractions. The breakfast was fantastic, it had many options and it was really tasty food with a beautiful view. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Couldn’t fault our stay here and would highly recommend.

Good, but was great before.
This is not my first time in the the Admiral, i love the breakfast, the view, the people... reason I came back. This time around, the room wasn't as expected, the couch had dirt from a previous guest and it was never vacuumed during my 5 nights stay. The bed lamp on one side didn't work and the other is falling off place... it is more troublesome as the room itself has very poor lighting at night. Hope in the future the hallways get improved to avoid people tripping on bumps and better clean looks. Other than that, I'll come back with hopes these items are no longer an issue.

Great hotel, great location, great breakfast
The location is excellent with prime views of Bryggen from the back side of the hotel/restaurant. The room was larger than expected and very comfortable. And this hotel has the best buffet breakfast of our entire tour of Norway, which if you know about Norway hotel breakfasts, you know that’s saying something. Great bar for evening cocktails too.

The location is Excellent!! Right on the Bergen Wharf and convenient to everything! The staff was excellent and the breakfast buffet is top notch! A real treat to start your day! I'd highly recommend this hotel!

Lovely hotel overall. Arrived with a smile and left with an even bigger smile. The staff are efficient and friendly. The rooms are clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. Breakfast is Norwegian to the core. Lots to choose from and very well presented. Pop down to the bar after 5pm for a cocktail off the specials list, they are divine! Rentable umbrellas and free hot drinks made our chilly and wet October stay much more bearable. Big thanks, we will be back!

Great hotel in Bergen.
It’s a perfect location for tourists like us. In the heart of Bergen, two minutes walk to amazing fish market, restaurants, five minutes walk to Central Park of Bergen. Ten minutes walk to cable car that takes you to the top of mountain with the best view of Bergen etc. Also, there is an excellent breakfast and very nice front desk staff! The only one negative remark is regarding pillows. One is very big, another one is very small. Unfortunately, it was quite uncomfortable for us.
