Pros: Good central location
Cons: The coffee could be hot and the staff could learn more english.
Location: Great location, close to market, shopping and a lot of the sites one would want to see.
The staff are pleasant, and we were given a room with an exterior window. The down side of this hotel is a lot of the rooms do not have a window and if they do it looks into a stairwell.

Room without windows

Posted 22/03/2015
Pros: Good location
Cons: Staff could learn more english
Location: Great location, very busy street for restaurants, shopping massage, anything a tourist would like
We arrive to find out we are staying in a room with a window that looks into a stairwell. The baggage carrier grabs my nap sack and breaks the strap. Apologizes but I request it be repaired which had to be done twice as the first repair was of no value. Then we requested a 5:30 wake up call which did not come. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for the overall service.

Short Trip to Ho Chi Minh

Posted 17/03/2015
Pros: The hotel is in a great location to go exploring by foot. The hotel staff were really helpful both before we arrived and during our stay.
Cons: The room are clean but need a little tidying up, new wallpaper, but overall it was fine. A little noisy at night but what do you expect in a busy city
Location: You can walk to all the key sites which is a bonus. There are bars and restaurants as you head left or right out of the hotel. Good street food as wel

good location, crampy hotel room

Posted 12/03/2015
Service staff at reception wasn't top notch, room were crampy. facilities like television and toilet equipments were obsolete. Would expect more from a supposedly three star rated hotel. Comparable to a hostel.

Good location, nice hotel

Posted 25/02/2015
Pros: Clean, spacious rooms, outstanding breakfast.
Cons: The staff was not particularly helpful, although certainly polite. In other hotels, I was helped with booking transportation, tours, etc.
The hotel is a few minutes walk from the Ben Thanh market. Plenty of places to eat, have coffee, shop...

Grosse deception, cherchez ailleurs...

A hotel with many names

Posted 12/02/2015
Pros: The location is good for tourism.
Cons: The attitude of the staff.
Location: The central market and backpacker area.
I'll try to keep this short. This hotel set up is quite confusing. It is attached to another building which has a sign for Hotel Alagon and therefore there are two lobbies with two reception counters - not sure why this couldn't have been streamlined. The hotel staff are obviously not fit for the hospitality industry and no one was hospitable. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were cold and unfriendly. After check in, we followed a staff helping us with our luggages to the elevator. The elevator was really only fit for 4 people at the most, but when it stopped at a floor, 3 more hotel staff who were on their breaks insisted on cramming into our elevator. I have never experienced this type of unprofessional behavior at a hotel. As a result, we were crammed inside a 3sqm with 6 people and 3 bags. Now, the rooms were fine...small..but fine. The only redeeming act was the breakfast box they packed for our early flight. Bottom line - for the same price, there are plenty of newer and better managed hotels in the City. In fact, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sonnet Hotel.

Pros: Clean, Accessible
Cons: haven't tried the breakfast as we have to leave early to catch our flight, so i do not have comment on the food
Location: very near ben thanh for shopping and eating
Had a very good experience although overnight stay only. The room is very clean and nice, near to the shopping center/area with free wifi
