After 4 weeks in the west of the country where the hotels were ok, but always a bit grubby, very smoky, and nothing ever worked properly, it was a refreshing change to find a clean comfortable place where the water was hot, the electrics worked, the room was clean and the staff helpful.

The lobby service is good. However, when I use masage service, their servants attitute is friendly but not quite professional. The manager asked me (I am customer) the customer is female or male because he "though" I am the masager when I checked out. It is OK for me but other customers may think it is a little bit irrespected. Secondly, I suggest to put a basket to put towels in Sana area. We did need many towels when using hot spring service but when the towel is wet, I did not find good place to put. It is not convenient. I find there are many Korean customers in this hotel but the servants in Sana area did not know English well. I think it is better to train the servant English. Finally, when I took shower in my room, I find the plunge is not so good and the water accumulate a lot in my shower area. Generally, it is a good hotel but I hope the servant can be more familiar with their service.

This hotel is okay if you intend to stay closer to where it is located. For those having stuff to do around the airport and downtown, it is simply way too far, The taxi ride during rush hours (which is mostly the case in Beijing anyways) may take well over an hour and a half.
While the rooms are extremely clean with comfortable beds, the furniture and electronics and carpets appear to be relatively older and need to be changed. A fresh fruit plate awaits every guest on arrival which is pleasing.
The English language skills of most of the staff are below average. The only person I saw with fluent English was the assistant manager, Ms Nancy Zhang, who always showed extra customer service and exceeded expectations whenever her help was sought with guidance or making other arrangements.
Be ware of the Beijing Taxi drivers and be prepared with a map, especially when travelling from the airport. The ride could become torterous and costly otherwise. A sub-way station is approx. 10-minute ride which makes it easy to commute to other parts of the city. This hotel also charges 60RMB per night for the use of internet, which may be a downer for those with a tighter budget and there is no WIFI in the rooms either. The breakfast has decent variety but the staff and the service in the restaurant is average.
The hotel, however, is convenient if you are planning a trip to the Great Wall, which is only 30 odd kms away.
The hotel is okay but not the greatest in Beijing in its price range.

I've stayed in this hotel three times. If you are looking for a hotel at the north part of Beijing, I strongly recommend this hotel. They gave me a free room upgrade. My room is clean and quiet. Excellent location. Excellent service. Have some great restaurants close by. There is a famous seafood buffet right in the second floor. Easy access to airport freeway. Will stay here again next time.

A great base for seeing Beijing.
The staff are really helpful, and a couple of them speak good English. They can help to book excursions. We used their services to visit the Great Wall and to see a brilliant Kung Fu show.
Location is down a back street, but is within 10 minutes walking distance from the main shopping district, and 3-5 minutes walk to the subway and bus stop, making it really easy to get around.
We had a twin room which was reasonably priced, very clean, with heater/air-con and had a hot shower (you appreciate that after travelling India for a month), and provide loo roll. The only drawback with the room is that the bed was a tad uncomfortable - but that didn't stop me sleeping very well.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Beijing.
