Swissotel, Beijing Hotels

Having seen of the more recent reviews talking about the rooms being in 'serious need of renovation' I was pretty nervous about my booking. However the staff and the facilities in this hotel completely put me at ease. Granted the rooms are a bit dated and could do with a modern touch to coincide with the rest of the hotel. That said our room was spotless, spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet is a little expensive but to be fair the array of food and variety and quality of everything on offer probably meets the price. Pool was clean and I made use of the sauna and steam room. Great location too! Subway at your doorstep, starbucks nearby if you want a budget breakfast. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again. I hope the hotel renovates the room for its own sake so it doesnt lose clientele as it is a lovely place to stay in Beijing.
