The hotel is basically what you expect from a 5 star hotel. The heritage room we had was spacious and very comfortable. The service is great as well. The hotel is very conveniently located near a busy shopping street with many shops, malls, and restaurants. The metro station is 5 min away and the forbidden city is about 10 minutes away.
Breakfast was expensive for the selection of food available.
We booked this hotel as a treat for my 30th birthday. We glad we payed a little extra, it made a huge difference. The hotel staff were extremely accommodating when we arrived at 6:00am after 36 hours of traveling and were able to arrange an early check-in. The room was fantastic, clean, well proportioned, and quiet!
Wonderful hotel, especially for the price. Stayed in a very nice, luxurious room and the rates were very good. Probably the nicest hotel I have stayed at and also one of the cheapest. Not a combination you find very often. The room was beautiful, well kept and very clean. The only thing that wasn't the greatest was the location. There isn't too much close to the hotel. I am staying there again on another upcoming trip to Beijing.
"Nice hotel and close to shopping and restaurants"
The hotel and room were nice. My only complaints about the room was that the bed was hard and the ac didn't get as cold as we'd like. The hotel has an ATM for U.S. cards which was convenient. The breakfast buffet was great. Such a good variety and plenty of Western food (omelette station, waffles, pancakes, cereal, etc.). Dinner food was just okay at the restaurant that's open late. The hotel location is excellent. You can walk to everything! I would recommend staying here.
I have travelled to many cities around the globe, and this hotel is certainly at the top in terms of location, service and amenities. The hospitality is also among the best. Plus, it's good for money, as the price is in the reasonable range, compared to other ones in china.
