We arrived before dawn on the first day and the hotel gave us early check in after some hours of waiting. Staff were efficient and small complaints were attended to promptly. We had an after midnight flight to catch and the hotel kept our lugggage between check out and pick up on the last day, while we went shopping in the city. Well connected to allow us to rely solely on public transports for airport and city connections. As it was winter we engaged a private tour (another story), but would surely use it as our base if visiting in spring or autumn.
The hotel has great views of Olympic park, especially at night, and is near by a shopping mall in the park with restaurants. The Expedia rate was great, and including breakfast is a good deal when added to the room rate. Restaurants at the hotel are very nice, but very expensive. Breakfast was very good.
Wifi connection was strong, but connections to US web sites is slow, and many are blocked by firewall in China. It worked well for email and news sites, not a lot else.
This hotel is in a perfect location. Chongwenmen subway station is right outside the front door, and two large malls are close by. It is also very centrally located to get to many of the must see sights in Beijing via subway. The hotel staff was helpful and our room was always clean.
