"Honeycomb for individuals, but great hotel overall"
The staff were excellent! The front desk staff all have some basic knowledge of English and they were helpful. The service was great! I would stay here again the next time I am in Beijing. I don't know if the honeycomb residence is worth it though because it literally is a honeycomb, with rooms stacked next to and on top of each other. There isn't a whole lot of privacy and space in the rooms. It's pretty much like a nice hostel, with shared bathrooms & showers, but with individual rooms. There is a luggage storage and a cubby (storage) for your bathroom essentials. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, but would probably not stay in a honeycomb room again. I would stay in one of the actual hotel rooms. They are all very unique and artistic.
Magnificent hotel, in every way. I stay 150 nights a year in hotels, mostly 5 star. This hotel deserves at least 6 stars. I cannot fault the room, food, staff, exec lounge, health centre, spa....and most importantly, the staff.
We asked a non smoking room but the smell was terrible. The carpet is so stinky that you could find several holes from someone smoked in the room.
The shower didn't work well we couldn't get enough warm water. Besides, the bath tub was leaking, we had to use the towels to dry the floor.
There are cracks on the wall and the bed was so uncomfortable, I couldn't sleep for the whole night due to the bed and the terrible stinky smell.
The front desk couldn't find my reservation and she couldn't read English either. Check out was ok.

Beijing Tibet Hotel is a 3 star business hotel which is near by the center of 2008 Olympic Games. Shopping mall and …More
From the moment you walk into the hotel, you are greeted with smiles and courtesy. All staff display enthusiasm and willingness to help. The hotel serves excellent breakfast and terrific happy hour with drinks and appetizers. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The subway stop is only a ten-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel makes arrangements/reservations for various tours to the Great Wall, the city, and the Beijing Opera. Great Stay!
We used the hotel as a base for sight seeing in amd around Beijing. It is centrally situated, but you do need to use taxis to get around, however, they are cheap (a 40 min ride from the airport was £7). We didn't use the bar or restaurant facilities, but they appeared pleasant enough, prices are what you expect any hotel to be. Nearbly, are shops and a small supermarket for your holiday needs.
Some of the staff speak english fairly well, and there always seemed to be at least one on duty at any time, handy as I could only say hello and thank you in Mandarin. They were pleasant and helpful.
Overall worth staying in, but if you want to buy something in the gift shop get a mortgagae! Visit to find out what I mean.
Nice rooms and a nice location. Some colleagues stayed at another hotel nearby, they paid more and the service was no where close to as good as the Crowne Plaza. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Beijing.
Hotel was excellent. Room was clean. No smoking smell at all(it was in the designated floor). We used a place in the huge lobby area for business meeting. Many of the staff spoke English very well. They were happy to help with recommendations to sites to visit. (always preparing destination card for taxi.)
There are nice restaurants near the hotel (some Korean as well).
I had only one bad experience there. I ordered a package day tour from hotel stuff that offered it. It was very good, but I had a misunderstanding about the pick-up location. I was waiting in the hotel, when they waited elsewhere for me. The staff kept assuring me that everything is OK, but didn't call the travel agency. Only an hour later they called, and I had to pay for taxi to catch the tour minibus.
