Terrible location, next to motorway. No restaurants or shops around. Nearest ones are 30 minute drive away. Rooms very average, with very noisy A/C unit which could not be turned off. The only nice thing about hotel was breakfast.

Dear Maria,We apologize you didn't like our location. We think description of our location is clear on all websites. We are in the south area of Bari in font of the sea and around the Apulian land. We are on the main road that bring you to the Salento and connect Apulia from north to south. When guest choosing our hotel is not to be in the crowded centre of the city but in the best location to be free to move across the Apulia most attractive cities. Thank you for the breakfast review. Great for a late check-in overnight stay on route from Bari to the South! Easily found, free room upgrade, lovely breakfast (could have done with staff welcome//instructions).

The staff was friendly and helpful; rooms were not great. Lounge area was nice and breakfast in the morning was good. The area surrounding the hotel was not the best as it was right off the highway.

Very nice hotel that is not walkable to shops and restaurants, but if you want to get away from it all this is the place! The staff is so friendly!

Rooms are clean. Parking is on site. Breakfast is excellent!! Beautiful view of the sea. Not so close to the beach. Hotel service is good. Need a car to be here because nothing is within walking distance.

FAR FROM BARI CITY BUT WORTH IT.
Room, staff, breakfast, parking. View, breakfast terrace. although about 30 minutes to Bari City, it is closer to all the small towns you must not miss in Puglia region.

Really good breakfast and dinner at reasonable price. Road moise prohibited opening window. View to ocean is good but not great. Public rooms are beautifully decorated. Good value in off season.

Located just off the highway. Centrally located with easy access to Bari, Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, etc. The complimentary breakfast was a bonus. More than just a continental.

Staff was great and hotel & room were in good condition. Hotel’s location was super convenient for exploring the surrounding area and the included breakfast was great. I’d definitely stay here again.

Hotel Stay
The picture of the location is deceiving. It is from the hotel but from the roof top. Our view was the parking lot. The front Desk Sophia was rude. She did not have a name tag. We had to ask. She was quick to have one of the other staff finish the transaction. If she doesn't like her job she should not work there. The shower has spot of mold. You can tell they missed cleaning when they open the shower and not while they are inside. Hotel charged to be drop off at the train station, but not at the airport. The hotel was ok. There were two Staff Fransisco and the girl with the red hair were helpful with any questions we may had about the area.

booked into this hotel on the off chance as had to cancel 4 night booking in bari which was like a room from hell ,,and what a great surprise ,as the room was clean .very reasonably price ,ended up staying another night ,breakfast the best I,ve had anywere .drinks and meal good value ,free parking .staff very helpful ,

Just that its far away from bari center cost £50 in taxi from port to hotel but eventually found out there is a bus for £1into center then you can get a bus to airport for £1which was great the language from hotel personnel was limited as few spoke english and my Italian is zero but the accommodation was good with views to die for

Nice hotel, if you don't mind cigarette smell :-(
Normally I would give this hotel at least 4/5 if not even 5/5. It's nice in almost every aspect: spacious rooms, comfortable beds, relatively nice bathrooms, very clean, quiet, conveniently located if you are with a car, with nice breakfast (well, no hot food, but for Italy what they serve is way above the average). Rooms are very warm, which is great in winter, service is good. There is even a sea view from half the rooms! Except that they cannot (and do not want to) do anything about smoking in the rooms. It's explicitly banned: there are signs in the elevator, on the door of every room, inside the room there are more signs and even warnings for the fines - but the effect is zero. The first night I didn't even know about the problem. On the second evening almost suddenly I felt as if I'm in a smoking lounge in an airport. Terrible. It was coming from the bathroom ventilation. I complained, they offered me another room. I moved. Asked them if they can just make the violators stop - they said they can't do anything, this is Italy :-) OK, the second room was OK until the morning. At 7:00 the smell came again. Luckily for only 10 minutes. But in the evening it was very bad again. I complained a second time... and they offered me a third room. Again said they cannot do anything to stop it. Because of what the hotel was, I liked it very much. Because of how it handled the smoking ban (which even in Italy is strictly followed by most) I wouldn't want to step there again.

Good stay - Good location - Good Hotel
We enjoyed our stay in Barion Hotel. If you are driving, want to be in a central point to get access to the best locations in the region and, want to be out of the crazy traffic and challenges to get parking, this is the right place. Confortable, clean and secure. People are good but, the best is Roberto at the breakfast room, his cappuccino and service were amazing (… don't use the coffee maker machine, just wait and enjoy his cappuccino); his kind way to explain what to visit in the region made even better our stay.
