Hotel in an amazing location!
The hotel is located in a high end shopping area and at walking distance to many sightseeing areas in Barcelona. Room service and the food at the restaurant on the 10th floor was not the best and wished it had more options. They do have an amazing concierge, Mr. Emilio, who made the best recommendations of restaurants in the area and what to do. The pool area is relatively small specially if you have kids. We did have a small hiccup with our reservation (for some reason it was not in their system), so we did not get the room we had requested until the next day. Despite those items, we did enjoy our stay, the rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the staff very polite and helpful.

Excellent city break
Excellent location extremely central and in a really upmarket area. Apartment was very comfortable and was well equipped. Would definitely return. It was also fab that we could use the hotels amenities and pool, staff there were all friendly and made us feel welcome. Valentina was especially very friendly - would recommend.

Fanrastic apartment for a family of 3 in Barcelona
I would highly recommend the 2 bedroom Magestic Residential Apartment for a family of 3. The apartment was so spacious, modern, clean, and in a fantastuc location. The staff were so friendly and professional, and our family would defiantly stay here again.

Convenient location, service mediocre
This is supposedly a "luxury and upscale" hotel, but the service doesn't really reflect it. The check-in process was just ok. You don't get the flow of the doorman to check-in desk to room flow that you get at Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons. The price was not any cheaper than Hotel Arts which is a Ritz property in Barcelona. I went to check in at what is supposedly a check-out desk which is the first thing you see when you walk into the property for some reason. I stood there for more than 3 minutes while no one made eye contact. Then finally when there was a person available, they told me that the check in desk was around the corner. Someone walked with me to show me there then I tried to check in, but the service was not very accommodating. I realize that I was early for check-in, but they made me wait hour and a half for them to clean the room. This is fine by me. However, when I did check in I found that the tub was not even clean and it looked like no one has even used the shower for a long time, because there was black dust balls and stain on the tub. Check in desk people are not that friendly as well. They were very friendly to a caucasian gentlemen who cut in front of me though...Another thing, they sent a "welcome gift" which was a nice bottle of water (which was good) and Chinese cookies. My son and husband thought that it was racist. I mean, not all Asians are Chinese. I try to think of it as them trying to "personalize" the gift. Oh well.

Majestic is terrific
I loved my stay at the Majestic Residence, 800 sq ft of comfort with a full kitchen and washer and dryer on one of the most elegant streets in Barcalona. I would go back.

Beautiful Luxury Hotel
Arrived early morning at end of October, our apartment was not ready which was to be expected so we were able to leave our bags and continue exploring Barcelona. When we returned later that day we were informed we had booked a city-view apartment (I was unaware of this) and that unfortunately there were none of these available. I explained I was unaware we had booked this, however the staff remained very apologetic and offered our party of four either two seperate rooms in the main hotel or we could remain in one of the other apartments but they would add breakfast for each of us for each day of our stay. As we all wanted to stay together we opted for the breakfast ... and what a great choice that was!!! The breakfast was absolutely fab, everything you could think of and honestly devine! We ended up planning our day around our breakfast.

Majestic is MAJESTIC!
Majestic is always majestic! We love this hotel! This was our second stay at the hotel, but we chose Majestic residence! This was a greatest apartment ever: 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, kitchen, dining rm, living rm, laundry rm.... and a huge balcony with the greatest view. The best stay.

Majestic Mansion
We stayed at the residence in at the Majestic. It was GORGEOUS! It was fully equipped and was a FULL living apartment with all the amenities. It was the next best thing than being in your own home. The staff was top notch and were very professional and courteous. Just as a 5 star should be.

Great neighborhood and eats!

Lovely high class hotel
We stayed in the residence, so it's across the street from the main hotel. It suited us perfectly. Only thing I would point out is crossing what is the equivalent of 5th Avenue to use the pool. You can't just wear your kaftan and flip flops ! Also pool is intimidating as only has 6 sun beds and the rest are tables filled by the beautiful people of Barcelona sipping cocktails. Didn't spoil anything as we weren't in Barcelona to sunbathe but didn't feel comfortable so didn't go back.

2 families for 2 night stay after a cruise
We booked two of the regular apartments for a family of 8. Was perfect as they put us in apartments that shared a private foyer area. Each apartment was nicely furnished (not fancy but clean, modern and functional) and had 2 well sized bathrooms with nice showers. The room with the twin beds was quite small, no closet and only big enough to maybe open one suitcase, but was adequate for us for 2 days. The room with the queen bed was a very nice size, with a high ceiling, adequate closet space and a small safe. Bed was comfortable and separate a/c control for our bedroom and living area that worked well. Nice kitchen area, although we didn't use it except to put some water in the fridge (and they supplied us with 2 large waters as well). We got there early on a Friday morning so our rooms weren't ready until the afternoon, but the front desk texted us as soon as they were available and held our luggage in the meantime so we could be out and about. Bellman brought over our luggage and showed us things like where the washer/dryer was etc. I interacted with bellmen, concierge and front desk staff and all were very friendly, polite and happy to help. The main hotel common areas are beautiful and I would stay there next time I'm in Barcelona if it's just 2 of us. Apartments were across the street from the hotel. It's in a beautiful upscale area within 20 minutes walk to most of the other tourist areas. Would stay there again if traveling with family. Otherwise main hotel.

Pluses and Minuses
The pluses of the Majestic Residence are the size of the apartment and terrific location. Apartment is well appointed and comfortable. Overall a good value for the money (as compared to 2 hotel rooms) and perfect for a family of 4. The minuses were a myriad of issues that you would not expect from a 5 star property. Two e-mails prior to our arrival were not returned by the concierge. We had confirmation that at least one of them was received but never heard back from the hotel. Check-in at the hotel is 3:00. Our room was not ready until close to 4:00 p.m. We were offered complimentary drinks at the hotel bar while we waited but not having the room ready at check in time is unacceptable. Finally, I had read this as an issue in previous reviews but I thought that it might be something the management would have addressed given that is was a consistent complaint, portions of the apartment smelled like sewage/sulfur. The odor was most pronounced in the master bath and also the hallway leading to the master bedroom. All of these complaints were communicated to the front desk. One other minor inconvenience was that to access the apartment you have to take two different elevators to get to the residences. One up to the 1st floor and then across the hall to another set of elevators.

We planned this family vacation with our 2 adult children -- we couldn't have been happier with our choice to stay at the Majestic Residence. Plenty of room to spread out with all the conveniences of home -- washer/dryer, full kitchen, two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The location was the best -- centrally located, great views, and across the street from the Majestic Hotel with access to the hotel facilities and staff. Special thank you to Noelia at the front dest who went above and beyond to help make our stay wonderful.

Spacious apartment in a fantastic location.
The spacious, centrally located, residence apartments at the Majestic made visiting Barcelona as a family easy and enjoyable. It had all the amenities of a five-star hotel plus a fully equipped kitchen, laundry and room for all to spread out and relax. Highly recommended.

It's an apartment, so, no amenities like a hotel. The positives are it's in a great location - close to the metro, on a nice street with great restaurants and shopping steps away. The cons are that the staff that do come to your apartment either don't knock, or they knock and don't give you more than 1 second to answer the door. After the third time I experienced this, I called the manager. The good thing is he apologized profusely and promised to speak to the staff. He agreed this was not policy.

I love this hotel. I stay for business for 1-2wks at a time and it feels like home as soon as you enter your beautiful room. The staff goes out of their way to welcome you and are helpful for anything you need. The location is absolutely perfect. It's my "go to" in Barcelona!

Great apartments in good part of city
Just opposite the hotel so all those amenities are available. Our room had a beautiful bay window with 2 chairs and it was so enjoyable sitting there in the evening with the window open enjoying a bottle of wine. Bed was great, apartment facilities excellent, including front loading washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, stove, sink, plates, cutlery, etc. There is a small supermarket just around the corner and plenty of good cafes very close by, including of course the hotel bar and restaurant. Cons: 1) The room had a strange smell, which was obvious on coming back into the room after a couple of hours, but not noticeable after 1-2 mins in the room. Did not at all affect our enjoyment, but it will need looking in to. 2) Although the bathroom was excellent, the bath is definitely only for 1 person, and it was impossible to use the shower head without causing a minor water disaster in the bathroom.

5 Star Hotel - Great Location & Staff
We stayed in the apartments across the road from the hotel. The apartment was very clean and nicely presented. The only disappointing issue we had was that there was not complimentary tea and coffee, available on our arrival. when we went to the local supermarket they were shut. The hotel is 5 star and you are paying a 5 star price, surely they could stretch to tea and coffee. We were told you can purchase tea bags and coffee at a price. Even at the most basic hotels you get complimentary Tea and coffee. The roof terrace has a great view over the city, seating low, loose cushions not comfy. Dining room was closed due to refurbishment, you could only have dinner in the bar, which was not good enough for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Staff very polite and friendly.

Home away from home
Looking for a central location in Barcelona? Well the Hotel Majestic Residence is the place to be. Located on Passeig de Gracia where all the high end shops abound. Go one block east or west or wander down any side street and you'll find several dining options. Gaudi's two houses are a few minutes walk away. The Residence offers daily fresh towel service as well as weekly cleaning as well as 24hour room service, as the hotel property is just across the street. We had a 2-bed 2 bathroom apartment and it was perfect. 12 foot ceilings, very quite and had every amenity you require for a stay of over a week. There is a fabulous tapas restaurant next door, but you have to sit at the bar...so you can see and choose your tapas. Don't eat outside with all the tourists. Pizza is fab too. Not to mention all the other and better restaurant in Barcelona are within walking distance as well. We will definitely return.

Outstanding facility, great location
This apartment is extremely spacious and in a great location. It would be ideal for larger group or family. Two separate bedrooms and baths, very nice, and even had a kitchen and living area. Hotel Majestic staff was excellent, concierge had great restaurant recommendations. It was all in all a great experience.

Great location for a city family break
A great break. Excellent location, facilities, and quality apartment whichever as ideal for two teenagers. The facilities good, although wifi a little clunky and a few problems with getting the shower to work, but this is minor and should not overshadow the many excellent features.

Great hotel, excellent location.
Fantastic stay for family of four. On check in, received free upgrade from apartment to interconnecting rooms in the main hotel. Nice rooms with great service. Very central location, easy train ride from airport and walking distance to Gothic Quarter and La Sagrada Familia. Lots of fab restaurants nearby. (Cerveceria Catalana, Fishop. Josephine's for breakfast).

Nice Apartment, shame about hotel staff
Would recommend using apartments as they are lovely and in excellent location. However our main attraction to these apartments were the use of the roof top swimming and cocktail bar in the main hotel across the road. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly, shame I cannot say the same about the bar staff. The service was very slow and I mean we waited 2 hours for drinks! This was not to say they can't get you drinks quicker but only if your wearing a Gucci swimsuit and ordering a bottle of champagne. We received lots of dirty lots from the staff and they were clearly talking about us and questioned repeatedly whether we actually could possible belong to their hotel! We even ask who appeared to be the manager there, who stuck his nose up and said yes yes we will get around to serving you, which was followed by approx 6 others guests who turned up after us being served first. The swimming pool is also just for show by the way, when we got in we were looked at with disgrace by all the other hotel guests. Safe to say we did not use the pool area again during our trip!

So Impressed!
We stayed in their apartments and they were so nice! Lots of space and very clean. The bed was so comfortable and having 2 bathrooms is quite nice. It was my birthday and the hotel must have noticed it on my passport. When I arrived back that day they left me a cake, champagne and some sparkling water. I was so impressed by this service. I would tell anyone to stay here and I will for sure be back.

Comfort in the heart of Barcelona.
Very nice place to stay for families. Residences are spacious and comfortable. Located close to some great shopping and restaurants. Metro stop just a few steps from Majestic makes in easy to get anywhere in Barcelona. Hotel staff friendly and very accommodating.

Great Hotel
If you want a place near everything(walking distance) this hotel is perfect for you. I loved it, the staff was A+. The place is totally fab inside. It is in the middle of everywhere it's a great place totally would recommend it if you are traveling for the first time to BCN.

Perfect location, great condo
Great apartment at perfect location near Casa Mila, but don't forget that you need to pay for housekeeping ! Great facilities at sister hotel Majestic across the street ! Overall a easy recommendations for families or if you need more space than a normal hotel room !!

Birthday in Barcelona
Just spent 3 nites here out of a 14-day trip to Spain. We stayed in the Majestic Apartments and it was amazing! It was just me and my wife but it was great to have all that space after being in regular hotel rooms for 11 previous nites. The Hotel rooftop and spa were amazing too and we 100% recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

No Hyperbole in the Name
The Majestic Residence in Barcelona is just that: Majestic! I give this hotel my highest recommendation. The apartments are incredibly well designed and appointed, the staff is excellent and the location is superb. Two ample sized bedrooms (one with a balcony), two well designed/modern bathrooms, a living room, a galley kitchen, just large enough for vacation cooking, in-unit washer/dryer all added up to giving my family of four plenty of room to spread out and relax after long days. The location is within walking distance of many mid to high-end shops and restaurants. There are also subway stations in easy walking distance. Port of Barcelona and Sants Train Station are easy 10-15 minute cab rides away, if you don’t like public transportation. Getting around Barcelona and the surrounding area is a breeze. The only bad part about the Majestic Residence is that you must eventually check out.
