"The property is rustic French and was perfectly OK in that milieu, but the external features were disappointing. The hedges were not cut and we’re untidy. The grass surrounding had not been cut and it generally did not look as smart as the web images suggested. I enjoyed my visit and as a pied-a-terre it was fine, but the owners need to improve the exterior. Having said all that I enjoyed my stay and only mention these concerns to help the owners."

"We stayed here because of the 4/ 5 star rating reviews , for us it did not stand up to portrayed as that. The veranda is very nice , but the bedrooms and bathroom has no natural light. Sophie and Denis are very nice hosts , and will help you in any way they can . The village of ASCAIN is very good for numerous walks , and you have a good choice of bars and restaurants , which is 5mins by car , and the coast is not too far away. The goats and chicken are lovely"

Beware though if you need good wifi, there is only one router for several units and if all units are rented, the wifi becomes extremely slow. "Our family really enjoyed staying in Dominique's apartment. The apartment was very clean and the location was an easy walk to town or the train station. Everyone really liked staying here. There was a little confusion on check in but everything worked out great. The only surprise was no bathroom towels. Luckily we had our travel towels. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Saint Jean Pied de Port. Thank you Dominique."
