Anini Raka is certainly value for money. Couldn’t get anything that cheap in Australia, that also includes breakfast. However, it’s a stretch to call it a resort or spa. There was no spa, and no morning yoga as advertised.

Pretty standard
The experience was ok but nothing special. Certainly safe and secure and not completely unhygienic. However the facilities are old, curtains were mouldy, paint peeling on walls, tv didn't work and towels looked and felt like cleaning rags - covered in stains. My mattress was quite uncomfortable (hard) and was stained underneath (no mattress topper - just a thin, old, stained sheet between me and the mattress. The breakfast was included and was ok...but 2 out of the 3 days I was there they didn't have the option I chose on the menu. But nice to have some sort of breakfast available. The staff were nice enough. For this price point though, there are a lot nicer options. I wouldn't choose this place again.

Comfortable Balinese hotel with beautiful garden
This hotel is a very comfortable and friendly hotel with a beautiful garden and rice terrace views. The staff are very attentive and caring. I sustained an injury in Ubud and the staff were very helpful in helping me whilst I got better. I look forward to staying there again.

Rooms are really really big.
Huge corner bath as deep as a pool. 2 showers. Food was good and great prices.2 lovely pools.with outdoor shower. Lots of 3 or 4 steps going to my room. I'm not fond of steps.rice paddy view on right hand side.very close too markets etc. Shuttle bus will take you and pick up. A small charge of course. But the resort is on a hill, not that fit. But just fabulous needs a little paint on the walls my only concern But an excellent stay and great price. Sorry couldn't add more photos .but I do have more

Could have been good
Seems like it would haves been a great place in its day but like many places in Bali, no maintenance has been undertaken and now it is very grotty. Also the shuttle into Ubud only runs a few times a day which makes it not all that practical

Lovely staff, hotel a little tired
Lovely staff at reception and excellent transport services. Our bathroom was a bit tricky for tall people as limited room between toilet and bath tub! We loved the view from our full length glass wall/sliding door to balcony as it overlooked the rice fields - so tranquil. The hotel is a little run down and the grounds could do with some sprucing up.

My Stay at Aniniraka
Friendly hotel staff.Though villa had beautiful Balinese landscape, the room facilities are old with broken bedlamps.Toilet has unpleasant smell and can't be covered by my lemongrass spray. Too many steps for old folks, more suitable for young people.

Not bad but not great, sorry!
We arrived late about 11pm from the airport, staying for 8 nights. I was given my room and my friend given his room. My room was like an "original" awful old room, no balcony or pool view that my room booking had promised, and had an overpowering damp smell (which i discovered the next morning was due to a rice field butting up against that building). My friend, however, did receive the room as described on the booking, hence i requested a change of room the next morning. Breakfast is quite average, and service was inconsistent. All lights in my room didn't work one night (obviously a fuse or cut-off) and was simply told by reception i would have to wait until the next day before it could be looked at, therefore we hunted down some assistance ourselves. We booked at a "special" price, but i wouldn't want to have paid any more than we did. However, the pool and gardens are nice, the view to the neighbouring rice fields is lovely and the hourly shuttle to town is handy. Wifi was quite weak. My stay there was "okay" - could have been worse.

Heaven on Earth.
Love this place, stayed here many times before. Service, neighborhood, location is perfect.away from too busy & moist downtown Ubud but close enough for a short 5 minutes ride in free shuttle to heart of Ubud. Yoga classes & spa everywhere near the resort or just minutes ride away. Perfect. Had my usual room on the second floor, facing Holy Mt Agung & the paddy fields; ideal for my morning meditation. Service is great as always.:) Putu, the receptionist is the best! Heaven on earth,in Bali! See you guys next year!!☺️ Namaste.

Well worth it!
Perfect place for a few days in Ubud! Staff extremely friendly , rooms perfect and pools just great. Airport pickup service was a great way for easy travel from flight to resort. And the free area shuttle and pickup meant we were always a few minutes away from the centre of Ubud. Definitely would recommend this place especially for the value.

Nice place, good value
We liked Anini Raka. Price was around $40/night, it was quiet in the room, close to town, supermarket and restaurants very close walk. Restaurant was poor, wifi didn't work in the room but did in the lobby and restaurant. Staff were very nice. The hotel is in the thick of things, right off the Main Street into town, but the street noise was not a problem. If you want to stay in a rice field find a different place, if you want good value close to town stay here.

3 nights at Anini Raka
The hotel is only good for budget travelers. Room's air-con was not satisfactory (barely could maintain about 26 degC) and the bed had ants. Breakfast spread is very-very limited, in fact has only 3 set meals. Location of the hotel is slightly off central Ubud (about 2.5Kms). For Indian travelers - theres an Indian restaurant bang opposite the hotel.

Nice place but a few problems
Anini Raka is a good old school Bali resort, back in the day this would have been one of the great ones. But now its just another room with nothing special to offer.Overall it is still a great place but it does need some work. Nothing in the bungalow seals shut, not the sliding doors, not the windows and the bathroom is literally free access to all bugs. Mozzie netting around the bed is a requirement but they made this on the cheap and did not overlap and seal closed on any of the 4 bed sides. As a result we fired the Geckos as we were mauled by mozzies. TV was an old not LCD as listed. This didn't really bother me as we were not there to watch tv, thankfully! the antenna cord was corroded and reception was simply static that could not be improved. This is when the Geckos in the room was good as you had something to watch. Shower spilled more water into the adjoining room that probably went on me, sunken bath was mouldy and filthy. Each day it was full of bugs that the Geckos never got a chance to eat. Breakfast was a choice of very lightly cooked toast, burnt bacon, eggs and some fruit. After 2 days of this you will be looking for somewhere else to go. Its poor at best, but it is food and nothing more. Look this place is ok, a little far out of town for me but they do have an hourly shuttle. If they did some room maintenance, such as installed a 1 piece mozzie net around the bed that closed, improved breakfast then this place would be great.

Good enough for 1 night.
Hotel is a bit out of date therefore interior is old fashioned, TV old and hurts your eyes while watching. Bathroom was not the nicest. You have two swimming pools which are decent size for a quick swim. Breakfast (we had continental) was alright. Hotel is located about 30/40mins walk to centre of Ubud which is not bad. Generally stay was ok for onw night. I would not stay there longer. Not my type of place.

Wonderful room, access to rice terrace
We got the Dahlia room which was exactly like the picture, with view of the rice terrace from the 2nd floor. However at this time the rice field square in front of us has just been harvested, so its dry. But the rest is still pretty. The room was pretty, glass door to the balcony. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing was that the bathroom is outdated and the layout is weird. The shower didn't spray quite evenly, the door can't be opened fully, because of the tub and the toilet is in facing the tub, so not enough legroom if you are tall. But overall it didn't bother us. There is a path to the rice terrace from the main road right after the restaurant on the left side of the hotel. A lot to explore. We saw the ducks and the farmers working. Breakfast was great. We would come back here.

Rough around the edges
We had to change rooms as when we came back in the evening, we had a lot of dead and alive ants on the bed. There were a lot of bugs in the room in general. The hotel grounds were nice, but everything in the hotel was well worn and much dated. The hotels were very old. I would give it a 2star rating at the most. The staff were super sweet and helpful however.

Second visit very good
Stayed here in January and really enjoyed it so came back for a few days in August. Quick check in, clean room and welcome drink. Water pressure was a bit low and took a while to heat up but was still acceptable. Breakfast is reasonable And sufficient for a good start for the day and pools were nice to relax around. Very nice stay and will return when staying in Ubud area.

Heaven on Earth
Second stay there when in Bali for a mini yoga retreat. Perfect location in the padi fields, 5 minutes drive away from town centre. Quiet, peaceful, just perfect! Breakfast was delicious, local, American & Continental. Love the eggs, fruits selection & Danish. Organic, delice,Yum!!! Front desk service, Ketut, Komeng & Putu were awesome. Room service, prompt & food simply finger licking. Other choices of spas 3 minutes away by foot & supermarket 5 minutes away! Nice walk through the gate in the back of resort into the fields & plenty to discover like cute little restaurants & shopping & hotels, chit chat with locals & even a yoga studio. Perfect! Perfect! Perfect! For the rate I paid, I could easily be convinced to make Anini Raka, a home away from home for longer than 4 nights. :D Thank you for reaffirming that Bali is indeed a heaven on earth. :D Namaste.
