Anniversary Trip

Tiny House on BHI
Cute little house for two people. Accessing the loft bedroom is a bit treacherous, as the ascent and descent is very steep. My wife has some mobility issues so that was a bit tough for her. The kitchen is tiny but has tools for cooking. The bathrooms are small and had no bath soap, we expected to have some there but we bought some at the market. The golf cart was a nice to have, it’s a bit slower than others but on BHI, one need not be in a hurry. The cottage is close to Jules’ restaurant and tram which is nice. Well appointed place with comfortable bedding.

Exactly as described, "cute little house for two people". This is exactly as the home is marketed and photos depict. The description of the stairs is also accurate and CLEARLY VISIBLE ON MARKETED PHOTOS. My expectations of our guests would to have followed house rules, 1) plug the golf cart in for charging, 2) remove trash to the outside garbage, 3) Depart the home at contracted time and not want to bargain after that time for extending the stay. Self professed "I am a food and travel writer in Dallas" left our expectations of these travelers wanting.

A Gem

Great little house!
This was our second stay at the Diamond and it is still cute as a button! Amazing that it literally has everything you need in such a compact footprint. Beautiful decor and many thoughtful touches. Beautiful view of the marsh. Very close to the beach. Perfect for two!

Outstanding BHI Weekend
This cottage was fantastic for my wife and I to get away for a long weekend. Perfect size, perfect location, perfect host. We enjoyed the water views from the upstairs balcony/porch, the convenience to the marina restaurants and the cozy feel of this cottage. And Hugh was great to work with. We will be back!

We found this unit to be in a perfect location, walkable from the marina where the ferry arrives. Dining and shopping choices are within a short walk, and the golf cart is convenient for the rest of the island. The unit is relatively small but more than comfortable for two people. The owner is quick to respond to inquiries and provided clear and thorough instructions before our stay. We would definitely consider staying here again!

Truly a GEM!

Cozy cottage on a remote tropical island
All the privacy you could imagine in a island paradise just minutes from the mainland. Wonderful shopping and restaurants with beautiful beaches. Baldhead Diamond had everything we needed for a week of relaxation with all of the comforts of a special hide away. Will definitely go again.

Lovely little house that was perfect for the two of us. Blissfully quiet but close to all of the Marina shops and restaurants. Beautiful view. Exploring the island on the golf cart was great fun. Already daydreaming about our next trip and we would definitely return to this same house.

Loved this little cottage!
This is a special place. Quite, great location, and completely comfortable. The water and coffee pods waiting for us were a nice touch. There were plenty of towels, paper towels and toilet paper. The beach chairs and beach towels were great. Even on some very warm days, the AC kept it nice and cool. Loved having coffee on the balcony in the morning. A deer walked down the street one morning and we were up before sunrise with coffee under the stars watching a storm in the distance on another. The stairs make the place unique and we were navigating them easily with a day. It has everything you could possibly need for a great vacation. Absolutely lovely place.

Bald Head perfection
We went to BHI for the first time, to celebrate our anniversary. The Diamond was perfect—morning coffee on the balcony, evening wine and snacks on the screen porch. (kitchen was stocked with coffee and cream ready to go. thank you thank you!!!) The king bed was divine and loved having a bathroom both up- and downstairs. Golf cart was great for getting around and we really appreciated the beach chairs and towels for our trips to swim :) Can’t say enough good things about this little gem.

Great Getaway Spot
We really enjoyed the "tiny house" concept in such a convenient spot at the harbor. The hosts definitely made great use of every inch of space, and the home was not only charming, but clean and comfortable as well. We look forward to coming back! I would mention to anyone with mobility issues that they might find the stairs to the bedroom a challenge.

My husband and I were very very happy in the property. It is superbly located, was exceptionally clean, very comfortable bed, lovely quality sheets and towels. Decorated with great style and comfort, wonderful balconies with view and extremely well equipped kitchen. Would love to return one day!

This was the perfect place to stay for us. A couple’s retreat! We enjoyed the space and the island. The house is just as pictured/described. Easy to come and go from while exploring the island. So glad we got to stay here and see the island. Would do it all over again!

Perfection on BHI
We stayed here for 5 nights for our honeymoon and it was amazing. The house is perfection for 2. It is well-equipped, clean, comfortable, and so cozy. We drank wine on the porch and loved the view of the marsh! Hugh is an excellent host—friendly, considerate, and quick and helpful with any questions. Perfect honeymoon getaway
My son and his new bride got married on the island and spent a couple nights in this lovely home before heading off for their honeymoon. It was perfect! It was really close to the wedding venue and they were allowed to get in a little early, which was perfectt due to the wedding ceremony time. WONDERFUL little cottage
My wife and I arrived by boat and had a one block walk to this lovely little cottage. If you enjoy "cottage chic" and "tiny home" culture, then this is the place! Thoughtful details throughout, lots of character, and a very well stocked kitchen - Hugh even had Keuirig pods and half-and-half in the fridge. Highly recommend!

Perfect stay
I was in BHI for a wedding and chose this little gem. It feels much more spacious than it is and is incredibly well appointed. Bed and linens were incredibly comfortable, the option of a sunny deck upstairs and a screened in porch just downstairs from it was great, and the kitchen had anything I would have needed had I had any time to cook. Hugh was an accommodating, responsive host! As I mentioned to him, it's better in person than the pictures indicate. I would absolutely stay again next time.

Too much money for the experience
This home is in a great location with a nice deck view of the marsh and cute decor. Hugh was quick with communication but when a pest control issue was brought to his attention his response was not as expected. After finding many dead “bugs”, one large and very alive “bug” made its way through the living space mid afternoon. Resembling an oriental cockroach. He seemed to be aware of “local creatures” and said pest control had been completed for spring and was probably why I was finding the dead ones throughout the home (I even found one dead inside the dryer) so it seems to be a known issue. The golf cart is convenient but really doesn’t sound like it is in good working condition. All in all, some things need work, cleanliness included. Will definitely come back to BHI but will choose another location to reside.
