We received a text as soon as we checked in that maid service would be every 3rd day. The elevator near ourroom was out of order so we had to use the lobby elevator and walk across the hotel to our room. It was the longest hallway. We were 1 door before the last room. The walls were yellowed, there was a black "crud" around the calk on the sink, the shower/tub had peeling paint, the calk on the tile above the tub/shower had a huge gap, the floors of the hallway were stained everywhereand the hallway and room smelled like smoke. The next afternoon (1st full day there)neither of our keys worked and our "do not disturb" sign was missing from our door when we returned. I walked all the way to the lobby to get new keys. While there I asked about the smoke smell and if smoking was allowed and if someone on our floor had been smoking because that night and morning it was bad, not just cigarette but also marijuana. We chalked it up to being at the back of the building and maybe someone outside smoking. My son was sneezing and coughing all morning as he is allergic to cigarette smoke. The employee at the front desk said that someone had been "kicked out" that morning for smoking and they were sorry but it happpens. I also inquired about our "do not disturb" sign and she said some guests "remove them"she would send a maid down with another. The sign had been moved to the inside of our door and our beds were made. Nothing was done about smell or black stuff. Pool was freezing

The pictures looked amazing when booking, but it was remodeled to only look good in pictures. Paint was peeling on the ceiling, the tub had cracks and rust in it. Towel rack was barely hanging on by one screw, something on the floor but did not want to investigate it further to see what it was. The room reeked of marijuana (from neighboring rooms, and not necessarily the fault of the hotel). We literally got into the room and left 5 minutes later. I normally would just suck it up for a night and move on, but this was beyond excusable and we had to find another hotel.

The hotel was easy to find off the freeway, easy private parking, simple check in at the front desk, and Brenda was a lot of help during our stay. Walking distance to a small Target shopping and driving close gas stations, restaurants and freeway outlets. We stayed here because of the easy drive to Kern County Raceway for a Drift Racing Event. 👍 The hotel offered a good breakfast with a nice choice of items. Oh, the pool was cool, relaxing and had a fun waterfall. My only concern was my room was very nice, the air conditioning worked but the room felt stuffy.

Outdated rooms, not thoroughly cleaned. Located on the southern side of town, so expect it to be a little more of a rough looking area & place to crash for the night. Staff is friendly & had a fast at check in.

This would have gotten a better review but fell short with the HVAC unit being extremely noisy and not controlled by the thermostat on the wall, and the TV cable selection was abysmal. None of the local stations/major networks had a picture, just pixels and sound. What looked like bathtub ring was actually leftover rubberized glue from something that had been in the tub before. Overall the unit was nice with two rooms and the breakfast in the morning was good.

Rose at the front desk was excellent. Lounge was quite calming. Breakfast was quite good with real utensils. Elevator was not working and being in the farthest room on the third floor was very difficult.

BEWARE OF CHARGES. Had a great stay and paid extra for our pet. After checking out and driving home I see they charge $150 and management claimed they found pet stains on the towels. This is a straight lie as our pet is fully potty trained and we did not use any towels on her during our short stay. Stay far far away from this hotel. Is obviously a scam and they are lying saying our pet caused stains which we did not. I would not mind paying extra if she did damage since that’s my responsibility but this is simply ridiculous to lie. Stay elsewhere on your trips through Bakersfield or you’ll get over charged.

Property is extremely run down. Not at all as represented online. Curtains were hanging off the track.pillows were flat as pancakes and one even had blood on it. The spa tub was jury yuk i didnt even attempt to use it even though i purposely paid more for a room with one. Way over priced for what you get.

Booked this place just to sleep for the night. Had a funeral the next morning. Checked in at midnight, receptionist was very nice. Once my s/o and i got into our room to get ready for bed. We saw a cockroach on the wall. Got rid of it ofcourse. Would've notified front desk but we were way too tired to say anything. Definitely needs a deep cleaning and inspection in the rooms. Site on expedia says non smoking, but the room we had definitely smelled like cigarettes.

This is a great place to stay in Bakersfield. Easy walk to shopping and movies. Security on site. Great fitness room and pool. Very nice hot breakfast. Complimentary coffee and cookies. Lovely room with jetted tub, huge tv, microwave and fridge. Snacks and cocktails available for purchase. Tasteful decor, very relaxing. Great value for money.

I was really only there to sleep. After the noise got stopped the first night and the toilet got unclogged thing were fine. It was close to the things I needed to do. Thanks ps...the room does have an odor you might want to look into.
