Excellent View
Well equipped with dishes, towels, etc. Great WIFI connection and Direct TV. Very comfortable. Lovely view of ferry terminal, bay. very quiet neighborhood. Owners responded quickly to any questions. Being middle of winter we didn't use beach but it looks very inviting. From the yard we had a chance to see Mr Rainier when the clouds parted for a short time. Very nice place and we hope to visit again sometime in the future.

Beautiful place
This location is so relaxing and beautiful! Easy to travel around the island to/from. Could use a TV in the bedroom though. However the TV in the living room is great. Will be back!

This was an idyllic spot. More beautiful in person than in the pictures. Quiet, peaceful, a lovely romantic getaway. And so close to downtown for shopping , restaurants, groceries etc. We wish we had stayed longer!

Magical!
The Abode On The Sea is a magical place for a secluded getaway on Bainbridge Island. The accommodations are cute and very quiet and private. We loved sitting on the patio in the evening and watching the sunset while the ferries passed by. We were able to walk to town when we needed as well. Hosts provided very helpful and detailed check-in and check-out instructions and provided "the book" (as we called it) that had lots of instructions on how to get the most out of our stay. Highly recommend the Abode On The Sea!

Lovely spot on the water
The location is the star here! We loved being on the shore watching the birds and ferry boats go by. The bed was new and comfortable. We had a great 3day stay and look forward to coming back next year.

Lovely stay on Bainbridge Island
We loved our stay! It’s such a lovely place, so close to everything. Perfect accommodations for two. Loved watching the ferry go by at night and listening to the water lap the shore. Quick and easy communication with the hosts! Will definitely stay there again when we return to the Pacific Northwest!

Best spot on Bainbridge Island for viewing Eagle Harbor.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching the boats and ferries from the beautiful hillside garden. Accommodations were comfortable and attractive. Hosts friendly and helpful but not intrusive. We would gladly return. Highly recommended for a pleasant peaceful setting.

Perfect little respite
Such a wonderful place with the best views. We were immediately put into vacation mode upon arriving, thanks to the peacefulness and serenity of the location and home. While the weather didn't provide a good day to sit outside and enjoy the yard, we look forward to coming back to do just that. Close to everything you could want to do on the island as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at home he Abode by the Sea! Gorgeous view of Eagle Harbor and it was fun watching the ferries go back and forth. Clean, comfortable property with everything we needed. Built a lovely fire down by the water’s edge in the stone fireplace one evening. It’s about. 30 min walk to town, 5ish min drive. Highly recommended if you’re wanting a getaway on Bainbridge!

Oasis on the water
My daughter and I spent a lovely week here, watching the ferry pass, reading by the sea, visiting other parts of the island. The property description does a good job laying out the details. Truly cosy all around.

Christmas kickoff
Our stay in early November2022 was a Christmas Kickoff trip and we wanted to see some of Wa. State's beautiful fall colors. We had a wonderful time and the weather was good which allowed for my husband to use the kayak that is available on site. So fun in the early morning when the day is fresh. The view is magical at all times, day and night, with the island ferries going by like clockwork. We certainly enjoyed it all. Our hosts were lovely people. We look forward to returning in 2023! Great stay!
This is a great little place right on the water that is clean, and has a great location with great views! The distance from the fairies back-and-forth from Bainbridge Island to Seattle couldn’t be more ideal. Took the kayaks out and had some fun kayaking with seals! Will definitely be back 😊

Breathtaking views!
Beautiful abode on the sea! Could not get enough of that view! Watching ferries, power boats, cabin cruisers and sail boats come and go - didn’t want to leave! In the morning, when the tide went out, we played on the beach and explored all the creatures. Best part of our trip!

Cozy, comfortable Bainbridge Island stay!
We had a great stay at Claes and Jenny’s retreat! With great views and action on Eagle Harbor we loved getting a feel of Island living. You can set your watch by the ferry going by! Beautiful! While there, the weather did not cooperate, but the comfortable apartment kept us warm and dry. I was pleased with having a gas stove, and a well stocked kitchen. The location is in a beautiful neighborhood, great for walking and not far from Winslow. On sunny days there is a beautiful garden with multiple places to sit and stairs to the beach for beach combing. Would definitely stay there again! Thanks for a great stay! C&J

Charming house by the water
We came up from Portland, OR with our 6 year old for an early spring break. We very much enjoyed the comfortable, well- equipped small home. We used the outdoor seating for dinner and had a cozy fire in the fire pit. Our place provided easy access to shops and restaurants and a short drive to beaches and parks. Bed was comfortable too. We loved the frequent ferries going by. Thank you for having us!

Gem on Bainbridge
The owners take care of every detail to make sure you have a comfortable stay. The only suggestion is to have coffee or tea for the first morning. The downstairs apartment is very homey and comfortable with beautiful views. I would love to come back in warmer weather. What a treat to be able to stay here.

Beautiful peaceful location
We had a lovely get-away-from-it-all grey, wet November Seattle weekend on Bainbridge. The views of the harbor and the to-and-fro of the ferries is magical and we loved walking along the beach in the drizzling rain. Winslow is a short 5 minute drive for restaurants and shopping and Mount Rainier even made an appearance between the clouds for 30 minutes. Can't wait to come back in the summer and take advantage of the kayaks.

We enjoyed our stay at this home and found the location to be quiet & a short drive to downtown Bainbridge. At low tide, it was great to walk the shoreline. In spite of the rainy weather, we could still see the ferry coming & going and we felt cozy & warm during the storms.

Tranquil cottage setting with stellar view
Whether you are sitting inside the cottage or in any of the outdoor seating areas, you have an ocean view, and we thoroughly enjoyed that! Our stay in the cottage was relaxing and peaceful! We used the kayaks to explore the bay alongside the ferries coming and going. We cooked most of our meals in the kitchen and ate outside. We forgot how light it stays at night, so we were able to enjoy the view by having an outside happy hour, and late dinner! Our communication with the owners was helpful and non-intrusive. I recommend this as a home base from which to explore the beauty of Bainbridge Island!

Great location and view
My sister came to town and I wanted to show her around all the beautiful things Seattle has to offer. To me this included a trip on a ferry and visiting Bainbridge. This spot was close to downtown and had amazing views. It’s a guest house below the main estate. Defiantly cozy and quaint! Loved the wood burning stove. It was a little chilly so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor patio as much as we would have liked. Great stay overall! Communication with host easy and quick.
