Great location
Very clean and comfortable. Good bed and shower. Plenty of good quality linen. For a longer stay clothes storage might be an issue as most of the wardrobe (could do with more hangers), bedside tables and chest of drawers were taken up with the owner's personal belongings. Our stay was 2 weeks so we kept our suitcases open on the bed in the other bedroom (which is not included in the let). Once we sorted ourselves out with all that we had a lovely time and were very happy and comfortable in the property. It was really useful having such a lot of basic condiments, detergents etc available so we only had to buy food. We particularly loved the coffee machine! Sharon responded to messages promptly and our 3am arrival (due to a flight delay) didn't cause us any problems. I met Sharon by chance one day and she was lovely. We love Orewa and would definitely stay at Sharon's again when next visiting family.

Lovely Bungalow
Lovely clean and comfortable place to stay. All of the amenities of home a person could need. The kitchen is a joy to play in. The host was nearby if needed, never needed. Would recommend.

Fantastic home from home
Perfect place to spend our first few days in NZ. Quiet and relaxing but not far from Orewa, a lovely little beach town. Accommodation was clean and welcoming...we had the best night's sleep in such a comfortable bed. Lovely outside space and everything you could wish for in a holiday home, and more. Can't rate this lovely place highly enough.

A home away from home
The cottage was a delight and a kitchen stocked with spices and cooking essentials usually missing in other places. So quiet and peaceful yet a few minutes walk to the beach. Beds were comfortable and appreciated the washer in the unit.

Enjoyed our stay could have done with more storage due to length of visit and just one small problem with the wifi but this was resolved very quickly overall well worth the cost.

Wonderful Treed Hideaway
Everything was perfect at Sharon’s place. The house was very well presented and equipped, spacious and had excellent outdoor living. It was only a couple of minutes drive to the beach and very close to Orewa. It was so quiet and peaceful and Sharon was very helpful and generous with her home. We would highly recommend.

I recommend this place highly, a home from home, very quiet and relaxing. Deck area is great to sit out with a wine and relax. Cottage has everything you would want, even the pantry was full. I will definitely be booking this again soon. I only stayed 2 nights on business, I could've moved in. :)

Quiet, well appointed 2 bedroom home
Located near native forest reserve with quick access by car to Orewa and beaches further north. The house has a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living spaces. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house to others.

Wonderful peaceful stay

A Warm Haven
Ive stayed here many at time as my parents live in the area. The recent trips are more frequent as one of my parents has a terminal illness. Sharon's place has been a warm cosy home away from home after spending the days giving support to the folks.Its nice that there are places that make you feel like you are coming home after a hard day!

Comfortable on the whole
Very nicely furnished, immaculately clean. Main bed and pillows very comfortable. Lounge area and main bedroom warm but second bedroom cold with no heating. Wardrobe in second bedroom unusable as full of owners belongings. Main bedroom wardrobe had limited space due to owners belongings. We found the parking difficult as small reversing area up steep drive. Overall we had a good stay but think childrens toys and owners belongings should have been cleard. Host was very good to deal with.

Thank you for your stay and appreciate the feedback. The cottage is advertised as one bedroom with king size bed. Guests are welcome to spread luggage out in second bedroom if space needed but it is not actually included in rental.

We spent a thoroughly restful six days here... It was quiet, private and fully equipped. A warm and comfortable home, ideal for anyone seeking rest and relaxation. Delightful to wake to birdsong in the nearby trees and to have a coffee or breakfast on the deck and read and relax. Sunny on one side in the morning and beautiful sunset skies on the other. Not to mention close proximity to Alice Eaves Scenic Reserve and the stunning Orewa Beach!

Can’t wait to return
We loved our stay at Sharon's place. It was a great place to relax and unwind over the Easter break. Highlights included the spacious patio, comfortable bed, cosy living room with log burner and large wall mounted TV with Sky. The kitchen also had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the location with a good outlook and easy access to the Alice Eaves Scenic Reserve for regular walks. Thanks Sharon, we would love to stay again.

Comfortable, convenient home from home.
The property was excellent for us given the quiet location with close proximity to Orewa beach, cafés and restaurants. It is very conveniently placed for visits to Auckland or trips further north. The full range of kitchen appliances, the living and bedroom space as well as the lovely deck were prefect.

The cottage is a peaceful, private and comfortable. Facilities are excellent and it is well equipped with everything you need. Outdoor terrace is tranquil. 2 mins drive from Hatfield beach and Alice Eaves reserve just around the corner, which you can walk through to reach Orewa beach. Highly recommended.
