Ok, overpriced for what it is

Stayed the one night in the studio suite and wouldn't pay more than 100 to stay the night. Room really small, but what made up for it was the big court yard it came with. Maybe the should invest in expanding the suite rather than having the court yard. Hotel staff were very polite and pleasant :)

what can I say that not not offend or unnerve?

Posted 25/02/2015
Nothing! As ground floor room right outside the lifts was dirty, noicey and smelled of cigarette smoke and mold. On top of that the customer service was appalling and the security consciousness non existent. Not recommended.

Stadtnähe schlechtes Viertel

Hotel ist dreckig und schmuddelig. Lediglich Handtücher wurden ausgetauscht wenn einer da gewesen war - war nicht immer der Fall.

Staff were useless and not very friendly. Other than that room was clean and in good condition.

Not recommended

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Facilities, over all condition put air conditioners in all rooms
Location: n/a
Not all Rooms have Air Conditioning , which is a surprise in this day and age. Hotel had no water due to a plumbing issue till 10 pm , very disappointing experience , will not recommend to anyone.

Not good, find a different hotel!

Posted 11/02/2015
The hotel is cheap, and the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated nicely. Everything else is sub standard, so I recommend finding another hotel nearby (unless you are under the age of 23, in which case it's probably fine). A few of my top gripes: -king size bed was actually just 2 smaller mattresses pushed together and covered with king sized sheets and blanket. -painted walls and carpet desperately need to be replaced. -room sizes are too small to walk around Find a different place to stay!

Close to Upper Queen St, good location

Posted 08/02/2015
Close to Upper Queen St, good location and easy walk into the CBD. VERY SMALL 2 bedroom apartment without aircon or fan to cool the room down ( heaters were available!) when the night temps outside were 20 degrees and inside temp even higher. Had to sleep with windows and doors open which made for a very noisy night. Security latch on the entrance door missing. Apartment servicing was hit and miss for the 3 nights we stayed, had to ask for resupply of tea, coffee and milk twice before it happened as part of the service. Floor was never vacuumed. No cloth supplied to wipe down the kitchen bench. Not many apartments available when we started to look and was the cheapest on the list which fitted our criteria. Underground parking cost was not mentioned on the web site but was cheaper and less hassle than parking on the street but which should be taken into account in weighing up the total cost.

Full amenities, with minimal standards

Posted 07/02/2015
Pros: Full amenities in the kitchen, stove, oven, dishwasher and fridge. King size bedding that is clean with crisp sheets. Onsite accessible parking
Cons: Regain the standards it once held. Renew the carpet and repair the draws. Ensure the rooms have a full set of appliances. I had to request spoons.
Location: Walk up Queen Street, visit the eateries. Movies down the road.
Use to love it here. Now find it is not maintained, with badly stained carpet, draws that are damaged and left in that state. Milk, tea towels or cloths are not replenished or not available unless requested. TV channels that are either with Sky or without. The noise of the air-conditioning in the building next door is louder than the TV in your room on high volume. The beds are now hard from use but you can request a sponge to place on top. The house hold staff attempt to be helpful; I assume they have so many fix-it ups they are busy most of the time, causing delays. It still does have full amenities in rooms, kitchen, stove, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Our room on another occasion was without the dryer. The bedding is clean and the rooms are tidied to the best of there ability with the worn and stained carpet and disrepair of furnishings. The units are amongst long term guest. The guests are considerate, as I very rarely saw them, but they store bikes, washing, garden equipment, tables on there balconies making your room view not seem quite as exotic as you thought it might be.
