The Plaka Hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to the metro, shopping, dinning, sights, and night life. Staff were pleasant and helpful. As for our room, it was very small and noise carried from our neighbors room. This is a boutique (small hotel) with around 75 rooms and is located in a safe area.

The location is perfect; walk to everything. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Ava. We got excellent advice re touring options. Rick Steves provided his expected great advice for eating and walking tours.

We stayed for 2 nights and it was an awesome location. We walked all over and were within walking distance to acropolis. Lots of shops and restaurants all around and tons of shopping. The place was clean and the beds were super comfortable. Happy with this stay!

Great location. loved the rooftop patio. staff were very helpful. The only complaint is that the soundproofing between adjacent rooms was poor.

The hotel is excellent and ideally situated in the centre of Athens. The staff in particular deserve praise for the wonderful service provided. Their kindness and help was much appreciated when my partner tripped and fell in the street outside.

Excellent location. Walking distance to all the popular sights. No need for a car if you stay here. Great breakfast. Very nice staff. Rooftop has amazing view of Parthenon. The only complaint is that the glass wall in bathtub does not stop the shower water from getting everywhere. But other than that it’s amazing!!

What a great location! Our first time in Athens (won't be the last) so we wanted somewhere with good transport connections & not too far from the Acropolis. The Plaka Hotel was everything we hoped for, stunning views of the Acropolis from your window, as well as from the rooftop bar. The staff were great, very attentive and so helpful. The rooms were a good size with a fridge to keep our chocolate bars & baklava cool. Plaka is a vibrant area, with plenty of things within easy walking distance. The bars & restaurants cater for all tastes, so what's not to like! Would love to go back, but experiencing Athens in the winter made the climb up to the Acropolis easier than in the height of summer.

Two out of my 4 nights stay were excellent. Unfortunately, I had a group of American girls staying in the rooms around me who were obnoxiously rude and inconsiderate of the other guests on the floor. They checked in quite late and thought it was ok to be loud for a couple of hours. I called reception and was told that they have just arrived and they will settle soon. Couldn’t believe that was the response I received. The next morning at breakfast, the lady who comes around to ask the guests if everything was okay with your stay , was informed about those noisy guests . Obviously nothing was done about it because my last night there I had to make 2 calls for reception to get them to keep the noise down. I was literally listening to the conversation the 2 girls were having next door to me . The hotel should have addressed my concerns that morning when I advised the staff member at breakfast. I did say something to them as I checked out . The male staff did address the problem when I called and I thank him for doing this . Overall, the hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to everything . I had a room with a view of the Acropolis. No self serve laundry facilities but there is a laundromat 3 minutes walk around the corner that will cost you £ 5 . Hotel was going to charge £15 . There’s a small supermarket around the corner so you can stock up on water and drinks and put them in the bar fridge . Breakfast was nice . Staff kept everything clean. Nice variety on offer.

Excellent customer service, they even offered us continental breakfast at 2:30 am because we had to leave that day at 3:30 am. Highly recommend.

Perfect stay.
We had a lovely stay at the Plaka Hotel. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. If I was going to Athens again I would definitely stay at the Hotel Plaka. Perfect.

Great time on the roof
The shower over the bath was disappointing, as it is difficult to get in and out. We booked 9 months ago and couldn't get a Acropolis view room so settled for one with a balcony but it had 2 air conditioning units and a trough of plants so impossible to use as no space for chairs. We had a fantastic couple of nights on the roof terrace, we are there both nights and we're joined by Greek friends on our final evening. All the staff are extremely helpful, at check in/out, at breakfast and on the roof terrace. It was probably our 4th visit and we would stay again as we live the plaka, even though it is very busy.
