If you want a nice place to stay that's convenient to I70 and Basalt, I would recommend this Days Inn. Complimentary breakfast was nice. Lots of construction workers and trucks.

The room had a funky smell. We were glad to be able to open the window to get fresh air. We were thankful to have a pet room near the doors at end of the building.

So much better than places in Glenwood Springs which all mostly seem older and run down. Met the manager and he was great. Was out talking to guests during breakfast and is a local, so good information about the area.

this hotel was close and convenient for what we needed. the prices have raised A LOT in the past few years. the bathroom is so small, you just about have to stand IN the bathtub to close the door. I did not do that and ended up falling and smacked my spine on the tub spout. *ouch!* otherwise fine, normal hotel and the continental breakfast was nice.
