Ah, where do I begin? For starters, I am never one to complain, but I feel that this review is necessary due to safety concerns at this hotel. I enters my room (304) to find crumbs and hair throughout the bed. It was clear that the bed had been slept in after being made, and that someone forgot to clean up their mess. I went on to find a shower covered with hair and dirt from the previous occupants, and later, some black mold on the pillows and mattress. However, these were very minor concerns in my book. I was thinking, cheap hotel - you get what you pay for.
But then, the icing on the cake. Not once, but TWICE - people entered my room in the middle of the night. Initially, the staff double booked my room, and a young woman and her small children entered my room during night time hours. Then, when that woman told the hotel staff that the room was occupied, the receptionist at the front proceeded to then enter our room herself. This was an extreme invasion of privacy and could have ended much worse had either party had malicious intent. Luckily, we remained level headed toward staff, despite the utter carelessness.
I have learned two life lessons from this trip:
1. Always lock the mortise lock in a hotel.
2. NEVER stay at a Rodeway Inn!
