"The hotel is located literally on Chelsea Football Club property so security is excellent regardless if you are returning late in the evening. My double room was spacious, bathroom was great except that it had the usual climb-in bathtub/shower combination that a short person like myself finds a bit intimidating. But the water was hot and plentiful, shower pressure good.
Bed was good, a bit lumpy in the middle but I slept well for the 8 nights I was there. Everything was very clean. My first morning there was a small bottle of long-life milk to go into my coffee, which I used and appreciated, but when I returned that evening neither the coffee, nor the milk, nor the biscuits, were refilled. I went down to the desk and asked just for some milk as I don’t drink my coffee black. Didn’t ask about the biscuits. They cheerfully provided another bottle of milk but, after that, I bought my own.
As the Chelsea club wasn’t playing at home because of the World Cup, the hotel seemed deserted, which was fine by me, made things very quiet. The final full day I was in England, though, I was warned that there would be an electricity outage for the whole hotel all day. It was back on when I returned at 6:00 but Housekeeping obviously hadn’t been able to come in.
Fulham Broadway Tube was very near and Bus 14–which went into Central London—stopped right outside.
All in all a very good mid range hotel."
