Hotel had given away our reservation as we reached there at around 10pm. They helped us with alternate room and charged lesser than our reservation because of room type. The room was very spacious with kitchenette and nice office area. We were there only for one night and were happy with stay.
First stay at this hotel. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was 2 blocks from many different restaurants and less than a block from the Metro station into DC.
Room was very comfortable with a king bed and small sitting area. One of our rooms had a refrigerator and the adjoining room had a room safe, but no fridge. Not sure why and didn't ask.
Rooms were quiet. Large TV. Very nice stay!
This is a standard business traveler / slightly upscale tourist corporate hotel. Just what you'd expect from a Hyatt. Its location in Arlington puts it across the river from DC, but it's actually more convenient than you might think: the Metro is a block away, the lines take you straight into the Smithsonian and Capitol Hill, and Georgetown is a short walk across the bridge (maybe 2/3 mile?). You're also close to the park that runs along the Potomac, and perhaps a mile from the Roosevelt Island, which is a pleasant walk.
Arlington itself is nothing to write home about, all corporate towers, restaurants that do a booming lunch business, but no real nightlife. The food in the area is passable. There's a grocery store a block away if you like having drinks and snacks (or booze) easy to hand.
The hotel itself has comfortable rooms and good amenities, as you'd expect. It's not big on personality, but strong on corporate identity. The wifi is pretty good. There's a smallish workout room, but the machines are pretty good.
I loved loved loved my room!!! I had everything I needed during my stay. I got two rooms. We had four tribal members visit DC (2 guys 2 girls) We shard rooms. The rooms were spacious enough that it was comfortable for our whole trip. The housekeeping was great!! We have to come back in the fall and we will be staying with you again.
Our stay overnight for a conference had all the luxury of a getaway because of the wonderful accommodations. The staff was super helpful with two different extra needs that we had. It was a great location with parking and nearby places to eat. Loved it.
A sprawling mix of urban and suburban, Arlington is home base for the capital’s professional set. Its top attraction is the Arlington National Cemetery, the resting spot for many of the nation’s troops and presidents. America’s military might is exemplified nearby at the Pentagon. Metrorail connects Reagan National Airport (DCA) with the region. Crystal City’s office towers overlook the airport.
