We had such beautiful time at Darna! From very welcoming staff, beachy holiday vibes to the diving and snorkelling equipment and views on the Red Sea.. wouldn’t go anywhere else!

The hotel is in a great location, across the road from the beach/sea which has a good reef. The food is very nice but not cheap - the prices are the same as those in upmarket restaurants in Aqaba. Best hotel in Aqaba.
Our stay at Darna was better than we expected. It's a great location.. just across the street from the Red Sea. We had big rooms, fridges worked great, beds comfortable, lots of hot water. The pool was wonderful. Lots of chairs and tables to lounge around the pool. Good diving equipment. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast could be better, thats probably the only thing I could say that was a bit disappointing. Otherwise Darna wa great. I would stay there again for sure.

It's fine if you go in knowing what to expect.
This place isn't bad, but it's just really nothing to write home about. The main thing it has going for it is its location, right across from South Beach and some really good snorkeling spots. For 5jd you can rent a snorkel and fins, which was great. The hotel itself was ok, but not great. The accommodations were clean, but fairly sparse. The Wifi only works in common areas, and it's really weak. The included breakfast was ok and filling. They dramatically overcharge you for things like water, or beverages, which they can do because there's really no store anywhere near the hotel. Although the small stand on the beach across the street sells water for half the price of the hotel, which is a good indicator of how much the hotel raises the price. The food off the menu in the restaurant when I had it wasn't very good, and it too was overpriced. In fact, they raised the price of the menu items in the middle of the 4 nights I was there, which made it worse. When I tried to ask some questions of the folks who worked there, it often felt like I was bothering them. They didn't particularly seem to want to talk to me. It's not a bad place, it's just exactly what you'd expect for the amount of money you're going to pay. If you want a cheap place to go snorkeling, it's great for that. If you wan't much more than that, it's not the place for you. In the end I was happy with it, but my expectations were low and the hotel met those expectations.

Dive hotel on red sea
Great location, terrace overlooking red sea. Room dated but everything worked, remodel in progress. Staff very helpful, meals were good. We only stayed one night were able to check in early, would reccomend

Love the place!
4 days already passed that we arrived back home and we are still in our vacation mood. Were were couple came for scuba dive. I'm dive master my girlfriend also very experience diver and we both had hundreds dives in Sinai and other countries. Never in Jordan yet before this vacation. We chose this village based on reviews, the location (from the beach) and since it's our first dive experience in Jordan we didn't care a lot about the rest. We needed a bed, a shower and a dive center. At the end we got much more than we expected. Across the street from the beach. The village have in-house dive center with all the equipment you can ask for, at fair prices. The staff was super helpful, friendly and talkative, so you feel part of the family after couple of hours in the place. Madi, his brother Abed and our super friendly dive guide Ricardo has perfect English. The restaurant is very good with fresh food and excellent breakfast. The room was very comfortable, clean, smells good and with AC. The dives was EXCELLENT and the vacation unforgotten. Thank you Madi and Abed, we would definitely come again and recommend to our friends!

Perfect location great view
If you don't want to stay in downtown Aqaba but don't want to pay too much this is the perfect choice. Great view of the ocean beach from the pool decck. The staff and owners are great, were very helpful with taxi advice and helped me figure out my Visa for Egypt. Food was amazing! Wifi could be stronger as it becomes basically useless when people wake up and start using it at breakfast.

Across the street from great beach and snorkeling
We picked this hotel for the location and got great help from the staff as well. It is right across the street from a nice beach with great snorkeling. Not a fancy place but quite comfortable, friendly and the staff was very helpful in setting up a great snorkel experience. Once we knew the great spots we wish we could have stayed longer! Excellent if you are on a budget and want a wonderful Red Sea experience.

its almost hostel not hotel
its good for sleeping at night, really was calm, but no activity or any thing else, its almost hostel not hotel, i do not recommended it for family or girls. the hotels location(south beach) are far away from the main aqaba location , you need taxi to get there(and the taxi are expensive). the public beach are very near from the hotel . really nothing to do there except staying on the beach. breakfast food awful, better to not eating.

Perfect place to stay for snorkelling Red Sea
Great place to stay if you want to snorkel or scuba dive. Two minutes walk from the beach, they rent the equipment at the hotel at fair prices and they even have guides who will go out with you and show you the reefs. The staff was very friendly and talkative, the restaurant is very good but not that cheap. The room was very comfortable and I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!

Great place for a budget vacation
The hotel is about 15 minutes south of Aqaba, near a nice quiet strip of public beach with a good reef. They offer guided scuba dives for 35JD at Darna, which sold us on the place. It's a budget hotel, so you get what you pay for. The room was clean and the staff was hospitable and helpful (and the breakfast was great). I would suggest having a rental car if you're staying there, although it's not hard to spot taxi cabs around.

The room was clean except the blankets had not been washed. We went and bought our own blankets. Forget about the "Pillow top" mattresses, they did not exist, the beds were beds were box springs on the floor. TV didn't work, hole in the door. Hope you were not in hurry to catch a plane, said breakfast would be at 8, no one ever showed up to put things out until 9! This is a Middle East facility and no humus available for breakfast ? The good thing about the hotel is that it had a great view, directly across from the beach.

Nice pool,decent rooms shame about the staff
The rooms are perfectly decent - clean with everything you need including a fridge and air con. The pool area is the real lure - lots of tables, sea views and a clean appealing pool. However the breakfast was the worst we had in Jordan - stale bread and awful humous. However the real shame was the attitude of the staff which was surly at best and often plain rude. They clearly didn't want to be there...

You can't beat the price
Great for the price you pay. You can't compare to a 5 star hotel as this is really in a different category. If you want diving or snorkeling, or to be away from noise and crowd, or to be so close to the beach, then this is the place to stay in.

It is a hostel not a hotel. Do ask for much!
If you are going there for scuba diving go there. If you are going to enjoy a hotel pick other place. This one has a perfect location for snorkeling and scuba diving but not for stay in your room at all. seating at the pool is just fine because of the view. The service is good but the staff is not really professional. You will be treated as a friend not as a customer. the relaxed atmosphere is in the air. Not for demanding people.

The best choice in my (budget) price range
I really enjoyed meeting other travellers at this hotel. The staff leave you alone, which is a good thing if that's what you want. We had dinner there one night which was surprisingly well done. Though I recommend buying fresh fruit, vegetables, water, bread, and other lunch items from the city before you get to south beach. The hotel room was nicer/newer than the other hotel in the area that I stayed at before (bedouin garden village); our room had a mini fridge, but no TV. We went in January, and in case you are wondering about the weather, let's just say it wasn't bad per se (I come from a cold climate anyway) but I will probably go back in spring or summer when air temps are a few degrees warmer. All the locals were dressed llike it was Siberia which makes you feel slightly self conscious about walking around/snorkelling in a bathing suit. Brimg some old shorts/ t-shirts to wear over your suit or rent a wet suit. Darna's very convient for walking to the beaches, and it's quieter than staying in the city. They just really need to hire a maid to pick up the trash and tidy the place up a bit, especially the roof and other common areas. Also, they didn't come into our room to clean or give us clean sheets/towels which seemed weird. Overall, I'll probably stay here again because it's the cheapest place closest to the beach without staying in a tent.

Gros potentiel, grosse déception
Accueil très moyen. pendant le check-in pas d'information sur les horaires de petit dejeuner, pas d'information sur les plongées, rien du tout. Chambre pas verifiée par le personnel, la douche ne fonctionne pas, le frigo est très sale. Pas de nettoyage de la chambre, pas de possibilité de mettre le papier toilette dans les toilettes. Le papier doit aller dans une poubelle qui n'est pas vidée... La piscine est pleine de crasse noire, les employés dorment sur les transats et laissent les couvertures sur les terrasses La terasse pour les transats est completement défoncées.. Des chats ont accès à la cuisine... Beaucoup d'employés sont assis toutes la journée à ne quasiment rien faire alors que l'hotel mérite un bon nettoyage. Cest dommage, la vue de la piscine donnant sur la mer est magnifique...

Struttura con un grande potenziale ma c'è da fare ancora tanta manutenzione, noi abbiamo trovato la piscina inagibile e la tv fuori uso. Sono sprovvisti di navetta per l'aeroporto. Le stanze sono pulite e ampie, munitevi di bagnoschiuma e shampoo, mettono a disposizione una saponetta. Nella stanza manca il phon. Non vengono fatte le pulizie giornaliere con relativo cambio della biancheria. La posizione è ottima, è situata davanti al mare e a 1 km dalla spiaggia di Berenice. Il cibo sopra la media, veramente molto buono. Lo staff simpatico. :)

Behulpzaam personeel. Goed zwembad en tegrnover het strand. Kamer is redelijk en de bedden waren prima. Er werd tijdens ons verblijf niets schoongemaakt. Afvalemmers alleen geleegd nadat het gevraagd is. Toiletpapier moet om gevraagd worden als de rol leeg is. De menukaart is redelijk. Een mooie plek als je van duiken of snorkelen houdt.

Akabe sınırları içerisinde kalınabilecek ucuz ve konforlu ancak en önemlisi tertemiz bir tesis. Dalış ve şnorkel noktalarına oldukça yakın. Çocuklu aileler ve sırt çantalı gezginler tarafından da rahatlıkla konaklanabilecek bir tesis.

Ottima sistemazione davanti al mare
Ho soggiornato con mia moglie in questa struttura e ci siamo trovati molto bene. E' situata in prima fila immediatamente davanti al mare, con una bella spiaggia dalla quale si può fare il migliore snorkeling della zona. Il personale è amichevole e disponibile e la struttura è in buone condizioni, dotata anche di una piscina, anche se non bisogna aspettarsi un 5 stelle. Le pulizie non vengono effettuate, ma la stanza al momento del check in è molto pulita e dotata di tutti i confort. Manca solo l'asciugacapelli. C'è anche il ristorante, dove a prezzi modici si mangia del buon pesce fresco.

Personal sehr freundlich, coole Terrasse, Gelegenheit zum Schnorcheln gleich gegenüber. Etwas abseits von Aqaba, dafür in der Nähe von Tala Bay, was ein Besuch wert ist!

Unfortunetly our experience was not good. Since the very first moment, the staff was really unfriendly. Also, when we wanted to pay with credit card, they said that the system was broken 2 days ago, but we had friends that stayed a week before and the hotel said the same thing, so what they really want is to avoid to pay the commission. The location is not worth it, unless you have a car, or you have to take a taxi, because if you want to do snorkelling, all the boats depart from Aqaba city. Also, they wanted to charge us 40JOD for the snorkelling in a boat for 3 hours, but in the city you can find cheaper options (e.g one tour 6 hours/30JOD).The room was ok and clean. The breakfast really simple and they don't replace the things gone. The chlorine in the pool water made our eyes sting and it was full of sand. So, if you finally choose this hotel, bring cash, or better, just save your money and don't go.

Nos decepcionó este hotel
Pillamos este hotel alejado de la ciudad por la piscina y el aire acondicionado, y la piscina esta muuuuy sucia, y el aire acondicionado funcionaba de a ratos, hacía mucho ruido y no enfriaba lo que tenía que enfriar, tuvimos que llamar 3 veces para que vinieran a ver qué le pasaba. Se cortaba el agua en más de una ocasión (uno de los cortes me pillo en mitad de mi ducha y mi pareja tuvo que salir a reclamar y tuve que esperar 10 /15 minutos enjabonada hasta que regresó el agua). El desayuno sin casi variedad comparado con otros hoteles de Jordania. El personal era simpático, y sino fuera por lo de la piscina ni nos quejaríamos, pero nos dio rabia pagar más por la piscina y escoger este hotel por ese motivo, y luego no poder ni utilizarla.

Hotel muy poco cuidado,aunque en las fotos se ve bien, todo deja mucho que desear( piscina sucia, el desayuno un desastre,aire acondicionado estropeado,daba la sensación de que estaba abandonado). Eso sí, junto a la playa.

Nettes Hotel am Strand mit zuvorkommendem Personal
Das Hotel liegt direkt gegenüber vom Strand bzw v.a. diversen Korallenriffen, die zum Schnorcheln und Tauchen einladen. Zum Schwimmen kann man zusätzlich den sauberen Hotelpool nutzen, um den herum es auch gute Liegestühle gibt. Das Hotel bietet selbst Tauchkurse an, Schnorchel-Ausrüstung lässt sich leihen. Außerdem können diverse Tagesausflüge organisiert werden - nach Petra, Wadi Rum etc. Die Zimmer sind sauber und klimatisiert. Das Beste ist jedoch das sehr nette und zuvorkommende Personal! Wir haben zum Beispiel erst am Abend zuvor gefragt, ob sie uns für den nächsten Tag einen Tagesausflug nach Petra & Wadi Rum organisieren können - und sie haben sofort ihr Möglichstes getan. Am nächsten Morgen um 7 Uhr wurden wir abgeholt und hatten den perfekten, höflich-zurückhaltenden Fahrer und auch einen ebenso angenehmen Führer in der Wüste. Man hat sich auch als Frau absolut wohl gefühlt im Darna Village. Insgesamt für die Preiskategorie auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!

Hotel z basenem dobry na krótki pobyt
W hotelu leżącym przy plaży nr 4 (na południe od Aqaby) warunki są podstawowe. Jego największą zaletą jest basen.Na miejscu jest też możliwość nurkowania i snorkowania (klub). Jest tu restauracja z cenami trochę wyższymi niż w innych miejscach. Sprzęt w większości stary i zużyty. Część leżaków przy basenie połamana ze starymi materacami. Drzwi do łazienki bez klamki. Klimatyzator działał bardzo głośno. Cena nieadekwatna do standartu hotelu; zawyżona.

Lugnt, skönt med personlig och vänlig service. Frukosten var inte överdådig utan bara positivt tillräcklig. Nära strand med ypperliga snorklingsmöjligheter. Rekommenderas!
