When I booked with my tablet the hotel was rated as 5 stars by the users, however the hotel is very old. The room that was assigned was without light in the bathroom, we couldn't close the window, the AC was old and a strong smell of humidity. When we complain at the desk the lady was very nice and upgrade our room to a suit. It was a bigger room, as well the bed and more clean than the other one. However, the new bed was full of long hair and the jacuzzi was falling apart.
The airport shuttle is not available all day long from hotel to airport, it is only 4 times per day and they charge 2 dollars per person, we had to wake up very early to find the only time that fit to our flight departure time.
We had a good stay at Eurohotel. The room smells musty and the closets are run down. But the room is comfortable. The a/c worked well. The pool was very well maintained and long enough for laps. The restaurant was quite good and inexpensive. The breakfast was fine with a few options. Lunch and dinner were good. The staff was overall helpful.
The hotel was further away from the airport than I anticipated based on the map I saw online. The advertized internet service was not present but overall the stay was comfortable. The staff were very helpful.

It was really good. The only thing was the food for the breakfast and the service on the restaurant.
The Hotel it self was great and the rooms were really comfortable.
My dad complaint about the size of the bathroom but I think it was ok.
This hotel was amazing! The hotel staff was so friendly and answered every question we had. Lenert and Julio were the main people we interacted with at the desk and they were knowledgeable, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. Julio gave us a hand drawn map to a fabulous Panamanian restaurant and made sure our laundry was done within 24 hours. The breakfast at the hotel was outstanding, as there was fruit, meats and cheese, and a delicious cake every morning. There is also free espressos, iced tea, and wine in the lobby 24/7 which was very refreshing after walking around humid Panama City. The location was great too. We were able to walk to the old city and local fish market along the ocean, and we were close to a Double Decker Red Bus city tour stop. All in all, the hotel was great! The neighborhood was safe enough to walk to restaurants for dinner, the rooms were spacious, and the décor of the hotel was very modern. We saw business people, families, and couples at breakfast so it seems to be a hotel for everyone. We had a great time and if I go back to Panama, I would definitely stay here again!
"Good place to stay if you just need basic amenity"
Recommended from past experience in living in Panama. Experience this time was a little different. Booked hotel for large convention. Hotel was quite busy and as a result, some things suffered. Wifi was rarely available - even at 2 to 3 am - number of access points needs to be increased. Rooms have no irons or ironing boards, usually a standard item in other hotels. Iron brought to our room leaked like a sieve, stained some of our good clothes. Lighting in foyer/closet area bad, could not see into closet to select clothing for each day's events. Incessant noise from nightclubs across street, noise from neighboring guests penetrated walls a little too easily. Parking was awkward, had to park two blocks down from the hotel and walk through some unsavory areas to get back to the hotel. Breakfast was excellent - good, traditional food served up by pleasant, professional staff. One of the waiters was a very nice older gentleman from the same part of La Chorrera as my wife's family. He was a sincere pleasure to talk to. Interaction with him alone made the stay at the hotel worthwhile. Check-in and check-out was a bit cumbersome as reception was a little unfamiliar with an Expedia prepaid reservation. Overall experience was pleasant. As far as hotels go, the Soloy is a bit above average. The adjoining casino I feel brings in a majority of their revenue, so they may not feel the need to be five-star with the rooms.
