The Puffling - an absolute gem
We had a most enjoyable stay in The Puffling . Really appreciated the bottle of wine , crisps and chocolate on arrival .. what more do you need ! The flat could not have been more dog friendly from a dog bed to food bowls and even towels. Magnus felt right at home and so did we from the minute we stepped through the door.

The Puffling
Beautiful property. Met our every need. The hosts were very thoughtful. Very cosy. So close to the beach, local shops and hospitality. My husband, myself and our little dog loved our stay and would stay again.

Simply Fabulous
The Puffling is simply fabulous, clean spacious and very central. Communication before and during our stay was great. Welcome pack was very much appreciated. We usually stay in St Andrews, Anstruther was a first for us, it certainly won't be the last, we will return.

Great, dog friendly, well equipped property
A lovely flat with warm welcome and attention to detail. Thank you for the wine, dog chew, personal card etc. The flat had everything and we were warm and cosy in spite of the February weather. The location is very central and we enjoyed walks along the coast. The bedrooms are particularly comfortable and we had a lovely, restful stay.

We had a fantastic family stay at this lovely apartment in Anstruther. It was really well equipped, warm and cosy with comfortable and good quality bed linens. Fabulous location, a stones throw from the harbour. Anstruther is a beautiful place for a stay. We had a great meal at the Bank. The Ship’s tavern lovely for a drink. The Wee Chippy and the Anstruther Fish Bar both great. Also a lovely walk to Cellardyke Tidal Pool. Highly recommend!!

First class accommodation and wonderful host.
My daughter, myself and our 2 dogs were delighted with our accommodation. It was so well presented with lots of lovely little touches. Angela was a wonderful host and we thank her for this, it was I am ashamed to say our first visit to this area but won’t be our last and we would happily book the Wee Puffling again.

Fantastic home and location
We had a wonderful time at Pufflin Holiday Home. Beautifully presented and comfortable flat with everything you could ask for or need. Lots to see and do on your doorstep and short drive away. We packed in wuite a few local walks with our dogs, round of golf and visit to one of many National Trust properties in local area as well as Combo Gardens. So many places are dog friendly! Our hosts were prompt in communicating directions and instructions for check in/out providing a comfortable stay as well as lovely welcome pack for human and doggie guests!

September weekend break
This is a a lovely flat, fresh decor and well appointed with lots of hand curated art. There was a bottle of wine, chocolates, crisps and even some dog treats for our furry friend on arrival. Thank you! This was perfect for a short stay in Anstruther, Very close to the harbour too!

Fantastic

What a gem!
We loved our stay at the Puffling! The flat and area of Anstruther is super dog friendly even left us a few treats for the pup. Everything you need for a self catered stay, and a short walk to a beaches and shops and restaurants. Garden is superb with a nice sea view at the top and fully enclosed so the dog didn’t take himself to the beach! Loved every second 10/10 would recommend.

Short break in a lovely flat, well appointed and close to all amenities. Lovely touch included treats for both the humans and our 4 legged friend. The flat has a well appoint kitchen if you do choose to make or reheat any item😊 There are lots of eateries in Anstruther that are dog friends, both for sitting in and take away. The Fife coast line is a lovely place to visit and the flat is well placed to visit them all.

A lovely place to stay
We really can't say enough about our stay at The Puffling. The location was perfect, quiet, comfortable, well equipped, and very convenient to both the town and the Fife Coastal Pathway, which we used to visit the neighboring towns. Anstruther is a lovely seaside town, with a great mix of restaurants, from fish and chip shops like the Wee Chippy, to more upscale and delicious Dreel Tavern. The Puffling is also conveniently located directly across the street the Michelin-starred Cellar, and we had one of the best dining experiences of our lives there. The Coastal pathway also gave us easy access to the neighboring towns, and provides wonderful views of the coast and surrounding area. All in all, it was perfect, and I'm only sorry I can only give the Puffling and our hosts Angela and Bernie five stars.

Lovely flat on first floor of a building one street back from the harbour. Dog friendly and tasty welcome treats left for both dogs and humans.😃 Well laid out and spotlessly clean with lovely decor. Perfect position for exploring Anstruther and surrounding area. Parking in street outside can be busy but clears in the evening. Gem of a place with first class host. We’ll be back 👍

Fantastic Stay in a Fantastic Place
This is a great property in a great location in Anstruther, close to the cafe's, shops, beach etc, but also peaceful in it's actual location. The property was spotless, had everything you could possibly need and lots of lovely little touches and extra's. We loved all the puffin / 'beachy based' stuff that decorates the flat. The host (Angela) was fantastic and really helpful, again providing lots of little extra's and info. (eating out advice, phone signal advice) which she probably didn't need to. Especially appreciated, as someone who travels with their dog, is how dog friendly the place is - bowls, doggy towels and treats provided. Not everywhere that claims to be dog friendly actually is, but this place certaintly is. All in all I cannot recommend 'The Puffling' highly enough & am already looking forward to arranging another stay there :)

We have just stayed in The Puffling for a 4 night break and have come home feeling so relaxed. The apartment had absolutely everything we needed including some lovely touches from the hosts. Fun in the sun in Scotland
Great base for exploring the East Neuk. Flat is spacious, immaculately clean, close to the harbour & shops but still quiet. Parking at the door isn’t an issue as there’s free parking on nearby streets. I’m quite fussy & rarely write reviews but this deserved one - we’ll be back!

Perfect location
We had the perfect week, family of 5, (3 kids age 14,13 & 11) . We came hoping for a week away together we needed a rest & this was perfect. Location was beautiful, beaches closeby were lovely, countryside pretty, Isle of May great to visit. We finished our holiday with a visit to Edingburgh as only 1 hr away on the the way home. Family short break stay
The Puffling is a first class property rental and Angela is a most attentive host. On arrival we were met by Angela who took time to talk us through the property facilities and gave us advice on the best places to eat during the day or in the evening. The property itself is extremely clean, very comfortable and really well maintained with an excellent location within Anstruther. As a family we all agreed that we were indeed very fortunate to have found such a lovely place to stay and if returning to the area we will definitely look to book The Puffling.

Die Tage in Anstruther und Umgebung waren wunderschön und abwechslungsreich. Die Vermieterin war total freundlich, hilfsbereit, und hat uns tolle Tipps gegeben. Die Wohnung ist praktisch eingerichtet und passend schön maritim dekoriert. Die Lage im Ort ist zentral, aber sehr ruhig. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!
