Anchorage's largest and newest hostel. We are a hostel (not a full service hotel) that offers discounted accommodations for all tastes and budgets, from dormitories to private suites (one bedroom apartments). We offer the best value for your money in a clean, safe, fun and sociable environment. We have a winter and a summer season. Summer season starts on May 15 and ends on September 15th. During the summer season we have a 24/7 front desk. During the winter season our office hours are from 10:30 AM to 6:30 AM, however, there is always someone on call if assistance is needed. Save money to go on tours, backpacking, hiking, or whatever works for you! This is the perfect place to start your Alaskan adventure. We offer dormitories with bunk beds. We have 2 bed and 4 bed dormitories. Each dorm room has secure lockers for guest to secure their belongings (locks not provided). We also have private rooms with shared bathrooms (one bathroom per two rooms). We also provide full one bedroom private suites with full kitchens and private bathrooms. Our hostel also has a club house where travelers get to socialize and exchange adventures. We have a barbecue area with picnic tables and a fire pit for enjoying the great Alaskan summer. We have a couple of day rooms that have fully-equipped kitchens, laundry facilities (coin operated), free Wifi, a library, cold vending machines, snack vending machines, desktops with Internet access, a large TV room, dining room, bike parking, rack card displays with tours info, and free parking which is hard to find in downtown Anchorage. We have no curfew and we have free coffee in our lobby area for our customers. We are located right in downtown Anchorage. All tourist shops, restaurants, nightclubs, tourist attractions, and museums are located steps away from our location. Nature trails, bike trails, salmon viewing areas, fishing, and sled dogs are just minutes away. Below is the definition of a hostel for those who would like to know the difference between a hotel and a hostel: Hostels provide budget-oriented, sociable accommodation where guests can rent a bed, usually a bunk bed, in a dormitory and share a bathroom, lounge and sometimes a kitchen. Rooms can be mixed or single-sex, although private rooms may also be available. Hostels are generally cheaper for both the operator and the occupants; many hostels have long-term residents whom they employ as desk clerks or housekeeping staff in exchange for free accommodation. Hostels are budget oriented. Hostels do not usually have the same level of formality as hotels. Hostels have more common areas and opportunities to socialize. Hostels are generally self catering and rooms are cleaned between guests and not daily. Hostels are generally more adventure travel oriented than leisure travel. Thus they attract an adventurous crowd.
