Booked a room at this hotel for my daughter and I for an affordable one night stay. The room itself was practical and clean, comfortable beds. Courteous staff. We were given what felt like the 'after-thought' room, on the ground floor, at the end of the hall near an unlocked/open fire escape door, with a view of the garbage bins and a razor topped fence. As two females (one being a minor), we did not have a great gut feeling about the safety of the area of this hotel. It was a short walk from a tram stop (5-10min) but the short walk was nerve wracking, people arguing in the street, graffiti, rubbish, not a lot of people around. In the end we just used ubers to get everywhere. For budget, comfort, and kind staff, this hotel was reasonable for the price/star rating. Unfortunately the area put us off and thought the hotel might be better suited for business travellers with a car (Gated parking available), or those travelling in larger groups.
