Very expensive for what you get. Beds were not comfortable and left both of us with back pain. Breakfast was very low quality: powdered, low quality eggs. There was no ketchup. Building and rooms have no charm or architectural flourishes. It isn't within walking distance of anywhere. The only thing this place has going for it is a view, which we didn't get to see, despite paying a high rate. We were left with a view out the back of some plywood. We would not stay here again.

Television didn’t work in a large , nice king size room so I was moved to a much smaller room with a smaller bed. It was a lower price room but I still got billed for a king size. In my last visit weeks ago the air conditioning didn’t work & I had to move that time too. The Windsor said the only avenue to get a rebate is through Expedia so this tells me not to use Expedia next time and reserve directly with the hotel. If Expedia can’t help in these situations why use Expedia???

Great for an older property. Wanted something different, got it. Historic. Could have been informed about a/c problem. Toilet backed up after three days. Staff very nice and accommodating. Would have liked to have a room with a better view, not of a/c units, as first time guest. Alot of vacant buildings, a little shady as you walk blocks from the hotel.

Beautifully restored hotel from the 1890s. Extremely clean and everything in good condition. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

A beautiful hotel right in downtown Americus. Staff is friendly and professional. It is a short ride to Plains where you can visit many interesting places related to President Jimmy Carter. (You can also have the best peanut butter ice cream in the world!)

This is my second visit at this hotel. During this visit it was extremely stressful trying to get sleep. It was extremely loud along with other folks on the same floor whom slammed doors numerous times during the night!!! Someone apparently came up to ask the rowdy folks if everything was ok. Carpeting is very old, the tub creaks during showering and stains noted in the toilet bowl. My husband and I were rather disappointed.

Very nice, clean restaurant on site, you can go to a wine tasting and coffee shop from the inside of the hotel. My only complaint is that the shower did not work, so we had to take baths and the microwave didn’t work.

Love The Windsor
We love going to The Windsor. It’s a beautiful historic castle-like hotel. The ambience is fabulous. A bathroom upgrade would make it perfect.

This place is like a museum. There are articles and artifacts on display in the lobby. It is historic and restored the best it can be; it is gorgeous. That being said it is quite dated and has the nuances of a very old building so expect uneven, creaky floors and the such. Even so, my room was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend staying here, it’s pretty neat.

Imagine staying in a hotel in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. The Windsor will remind you of that in a very good way. A very special place to enjoy Americus
