We went to American Samoa to visit the National Park and this hotel is right near the visitor center. It has a great beach on property, and we swam in it every day. There is also a great restaurant alongside the property that serves meals all day that are tasty, great portions and reasonably priced. The property is in need of repair and upkeep outside. However, the hotel is very historical and has the charm of Samoa.

Our stay at Sadie’s was great! The room was in OK shape but was a great deal for the price. AC worked really well, towels and linens are nice which are the 3 most important things for me. Would like to see lawn chairs by the pool.

The property is beautiful and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful and the restaurant staff were awesome, the food was just perfect to our liking; you need to try their Sword Fish and all the dishes prices were very reasonable. The place has both a beach and a swimming pool for the guests preference.

One of the staff at the frontdesk was very rude, water was dripping from the aircon, no shower curtain, no compliementary tea or coffee and sugar, raindrops also dripping from the balcony, bedsheets are old with stains and also found some hairstrands..not sure if they're washing the laundry after each guest.

We were very excited to visit Pago Pago however the hotel was not what we thought we would get, I do under stand that the hotel would not be a five star however we paid good money & the room was not worth what we paid yes we had a larger room but this needs to have some work done we had rain and the wall had big bubbles of water in it as the room was leaking, outside patio was dirty, not sure when that was cleaned last, this needs to be replaced by tiles,the house keepers are not very efficient the floors were not cleaned & to get information was really hard there was not information on the hotel in your room, the pool needed a good clean to remove the mold around the edge This could be a really good place to stay if the managers/owners take time to fix it up then you may receive some tourists it is a beautiful island and a great place to relax. The food in the café/restaurant was great. As there is little choice on the island to stay I think that with a little makeover it would be great. The people were friendly and the shuttle service was great.

I enjoyed the fact that this property was right on the water with a private beach, food was within walking distance, and the snorkeling on the reef was good. The staff were helpful in solving any issues that arose. The weekends and Thanksgiving day were busy, but other times there were very few people around allowing me to have a peaceful, relaxing vacation whether I was snorkeling in the ocean, or just enjoying the view of sunset from my balcony.

This is the best location in town and the best place to go swimming. This central location is convenient. The rooms are sizable and the bathroom is huge. My TV remote was missing but who needs TV in a place like this?

Great family friendly place. Family had a great time at the pool area and the beach. The facility was clean and will definitely take the family there again.

The toilet did not flush properly and there toilets are old toilets There was no hotwater on a couple of days. the restaurant and swimming pool and beach were awesome!

Location is beautiful however it was too near the wharf and could hear ships' horns blasting off late at night. Facilities not so great and cleanliness could better, however service is helpful and friendly.

The hotel location is good. The room has smell of ant spread and old sewer. But it should be expected as this is not a top-modern resort. I love the experience overall. Per pole are very friendly. The hotel feels safe too.

Disappointing
Well when we entered the room there were roaches in sink/ kitchen area of room. I had to spray for roaches and killed a bigger one two days later. Rooms need a lot of remodeling.

Everything about the hotel was perfect. I love that it was right next to the beach with a beautiful view, we had both options of swimming in the pool or at the beach and the hotel is located right in the middle of town so everything's just about in walking distance. When there was a problem, the staff was always quick to fix it, there was no wait time. There was always staff around to keep the hotel grounds very clean, the Goat Café was always excellent with the customer service and the people friendly waitresses. I look forward to future visits at Sadies by the Sea.

The staff at Sadie’s front desk were very friendly and helpful, and helped us organise day-trips and also our transport to the airport. The food in the restaurant was good however our service there was very poor. The pool area was great, and nice beach where we could rent kayaks from. Some areas of the hotel were quite old and in the room the carpet wasn’t very clean, however overall we really enjoyed our stay

Good place, comfortable, near the ocean and much of what there is to see in Pago Pago. I didn't have to check out until 2pm for my afternoon flight which was good. Staff were also nice.

It ain’t great but the best you’ll find in Pago
The hotel is run down and badly in need of a total refurb, but it’s the best you’ll find in Pago Pago. It’s clean-ish but most Motel 6’s are cleaner. The front desk staff is friendly and the hotel is fairly well located with respect to the town and in a dramatically beautiful setting. The adjacent restaurant is decent, reasonably priced with huge American size portions and friendly wait staff. I’d stay here again because this is the South Pacific and you’ve got to adjust your expectations accordingly, but it would be nice if there was SOMETHING in American Samoa that was tip-top. Unfortunately this isn’t it.

Overpriced Poor Quality
Stayed in several different accommodations during our 2 week holiday in American Samoa. I was VERY underwhelmed by Sadie’s. For the cost of the room being only slightly less than the (much nicer) competitors - I was disappointed to see ants all over the bathroom, someone else’s trash (beer bottles!) left in the room upon our arrival, and an overall “run down” atmosphere. The “beach” at this “seaside resort” was full of rubbish (plastic bottles, discarded shoes, etc) and the overall environment was FAR less than what I expected. The restaurant is decent - but also very overpriced with no concession for guests staying on property - even at breakfast. I’m EXTREMELY grateful we didn’t spend our entire stay here as Tutuila has much more to offer than Sadie’s can provide.

Decent but strongly overpriced.
Nice and big rooms with spacious balconies. Good restaurant. Very good beach. However, on Saturday, it was so much overcrowded with local people that it was difficult to go the re for swimming and snorkeling (especially due to aquabikes running just near the beach). Snorkeling is good. Just near hotel's beach. Wi–fi is very poor. The smell of insecticides was initially very strong. And one night, I saw a local cockroach -- black, very big, and very fast. I decided not to tell my wife about this before we leave. The price of the room was too high.

Adequate hotel, but a little over-priced. Room was plenty large, and A/C worked well. Nice that there was a small kitchenette. Restaurant and bar on-site. Food was average but expensive. Bar was full-service and had a few unique cocktails. Also had a pool and private beach - several people rented kayaks there to take out into the bay. They have rental cars on site. Price is a bit better than I could have gotten on my own. Car was old, but reliable. Unless you like going to the pool a lot, recommend asking for a 2nd-floor room for a better view of the bay.

Fantastic!
Room great very spacious with lots of amenities, lovely view over the private beach. Lovely service from the team with airport pick up and drop off included! Also included was snorkel gear which was fantastic and the coral just off shore from the private beach was great! We stayed here to celebrate New Year's Eve and they put on a great party with champagne at midnight it was a real pleasure to stay here. Thanks everyone!
