Property was in a good location to access the beaches and the town. Very nice condition with spacious modern room. The property was listed as ‘soundproof’ which it was absolutely not. We were in a room opposite a restaurant which was very noisy through the night, on Friday night even playing very loud music. We could hear the thudding of the bass even through earplugs! Above us there was a family with children, and the children were running around (as they do, which is fine) but you could hear it all through the ceiling. It was probably one of the noisiest places I’ve slept in (and I live in London) and I was lucky to have earplugs with me for both me and my partner, otherwise we would have had a terrible time. We requested a room change but we’re told there were no more rooms, even though Expedia said there was at least one room available for the dates of our stay. Additionally, the mattress was really uncomfortable and the pillows very thin. We had one pillow each and there was another one in the cupboard (so one of us could have two pillows) which seemed inadequate. We could have asked for another pillow but I didn’t want to have to go to reception again after having requested a room change. If not for the noise and uncomfortable bed it would have been a great stay, but when the factors concerning getting a good nights sleep are so poor it can dramatically change how your vacation goes.

Nice place to stay but the bed is very hard and you do not get utensils plus it only advertises the penthouse it doesn't actually show the room you get

This is NOT a 3 star hotel - broken air con, gas..
On arrival we were greeted with a faulty air conditioning unit which switched itself off after 5-10 min of operation meaning we had to sleep in 30 degree heat as staff struggled to fix the issue. On top of this, gas alarm constantly went off in the room with a pound, continuous beep. It happened over 3 continuous days and in the end the staff simply turned the gas alarm off so we slept in a room with no alarm and a potential gas leak. Staff claimed they couldn't move us, refused to refund remainder of our stay so that we can go elsewhere and have not even apologised. We felt like a nuisance to them - very unwelcome. Do not recommend. This is not a 3* hotel.

Great location, bad wi-fi
The location is great and the apartments very comfortable, the equipments were all very high tech but the light of the bathroom by sensor was turning on the whole night and annoyed me a bit, the wi-fi was really bad and the signal weak. And an amazing restaurant just across the street. Overall completely worth it, very nice Hotel!

Good location with pool but that's where it ends.
Location is perfect, across from the beach. The pool is a bonus, beds are comfy and the shower was very powerful but that's where the positives end. The hotel needs a bit of updating. The sofa which was obviously a sofa bed had seen better days. It was extremely uncomfortable to sit on. The apartments are not really the place you'd want to sit so therefore we spent as little time as possible in our apartment. We had everything we needed but the furnishings are just old and needing replaced. I would not stay here again as I don't think they are very good value for money.

Picale residence family trip
Picale was clean and spacious. Perfect location for our family. 20 steps from the beach and walking distance to many restaurants, including two or three fabulous gelato bars. Pool wasn't toddler friendly, however all my three children are good swimmers.

Basic little appartment on the main waterfront. Supermarket just around the corner for all your general needs. Short walk to the main centre with plenty of bars & restaurants on route. Just a shame that there was no bar actually in the hotel.

The location good and staff are very professional and welcoming. But this isn’t a hotel. It is a rented like a hotel time- share. I was very disappointed that I was asked to leave the room clean, dishes washed, garbage taken out. If I wanted to do that on my vacation then I wouldn’t go to a hotel. There is no notation under terms and conditions so if you want housekeeping this isn’t your “hotel”. Otherwise clean and near town a bunch of beaches.

Alghero in the rain
The hotel is centrally located and a quick walk to the historic center. There are a couple super markets close by, a pizzeria and a gelateria. There is a beach right across the street. But it didn't look like a nice beach to take a swim. Sadly it was raining during the time that I was there so I cannot comment much on the beach. The place is clean and it carries all the appliances. A couple of down things: 1. They don't do any further cleaning. Once you get the apartment you have to clean it. 2. They have some strict rules about throwing the trash and leaving the place as you found it. Otherwise, you would get charged. I had a pleasant stay and the staff was absolutely awesome!

Most immaculately kept hotel!
This hotel is on a smaller complex which makes it feel more intimate. The pool area is amazingly clean and well kept, the proximity to the beach was perfect as well as it being walking distance to old Alghero town. Good restaurants, buzzing atmosphere, great for people watching and best gelato ever! All the staff we’re so conscientious and this made an extremely happy stay. 😊

Bad service and a room full of mosquitoes...
On my booking confirmation it said check in was from 12.30. When I arrived the staff said that means they can have to the room ready any time after 12.30. I did not get the keys to my room until 16.30. When I entered the apartment it was full of mosquitos. Not just one or two. There were littterally at least 60 mosquitoes! There were very few mosquitoes outside so I don't even understand how they all ended up in the room. I told the staff and they said that is normal. They did not offer to do anything about it. Needless to say I did not sleep the first night and got a lot of bites... The bed was also very uncomfortable. You have to pay extra if you want air conditioning ( like 45 euros a week extra). They did not tell me that when I checked in so I struggled to get the AC working before calling the reception and being told I had to come down and pay more for AC. The room was mostly clean except for the walls. I was not the first person to have a mosquito problem because there were dead bugs and smears from where other people had killed bugs against the wall, which was pretty gross. The pool area was nice. But other than that the bad service and mosquitoes ruined my stay.

It was very good. Alghero and locality of picale is excellent. I regularly go to Picale and know what to expect. Maybe clean sheets more often would be a benefit. Price re hotels. Com was exceptional value. Important for people to note it is a residence and not a hotel..

Noisy, annoying and a frustrating experience.
One of the worst experiences of my life! Impossible to rest or relax here. Awfully noisy -people and kids screaming and running around all the time, other guests have no respect or consideration for anyone constantly moving furniture around, being loud, rude, and having dogs barking anytime day or night-. Terrible room service -they left less towels in my room than I had the first day, when I asked to have another one to a cleaning lady, she refused to do it, so I had to go to the front desk and complain-. VERY IMPORTANT: AIR CONDITIONING IS NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR ROOM, so if you want it you have to pay extra!! What kind of hotel would do that? It is like getting a room and paying extra for having a bed, which would not be included. This destination is awfully hot to survive without air conditioning in your room, so this is a typical Italian style of robbing people and taking advantage of you. One of the worst nightmares I have ever had, and I was looking forward to leave, with regrets of staying here from day one. I will never come back here, neither Italy after 4 trips there. I am so tired of feeling tricked and taking advantage of in that country, and this is a great example of that. Come to this place if you want to be miserable. I can guarantee you that you will accomplish it... Besides, very weak wifi and no other tv channels than Italians. I'm glad I brought two good books as a plan B, but to read a book I rather stay home next time. Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere!

Great, affordable, in perfect location
We had a fantastic holiday, location was perfect, 10 mins walk to Marie Pia beach (much nicer than town beach) and 20 or so mins walk to the old town. Next door to great pizza and ice cream places. Accommodation suited us perfectly, 2 large bedrooms, small kitchen area (we ate breakfast and one meal in the apartment most days), table, sofa, balcony. Was much cheaper than other accommodation that we had looked at so was great value for money. Some of the decor was slightly shabby and the beds were a little hard, however considering what we had paid we were very happy. We all loved the pool area, staff very friendly and helpful. Being used to French self catering we were very happy to have our towels and sheets changed 3 times in our 2 week stay.

A nice little hotel situated virtually on top of the beach, the pool is a good size although you may find yourself chasing the sun around on a sundowner. Parking should be booked in advance as it got very busy when we were there.

Sardinia trip July 2015
We travelled with our 12 year old son. The hotel is on a lovely road, a stone's throw from the beach. Directly opposite is Oops ice cream bar where we sat outside late @ night with other families & enjoyed beautiful ice creams. Well stocked supermarket just 1 minute walk also. The hotel pool is small but it was never crowded. It had a full time attendant & was spotless. The rooms are really spacious, very well stocked with all utensils you would need. Linen & towels changed like clockwork every 3 days. Two balconies getting morning & evening Sun with lateral sea views. Staff helpful but some hadn't got great English. Needed air con & it cost 45 euro per week-well worth it. We hired tennis court for an hour incl rackets & balls for 15 euro. They had nice touches such as a box of inflatables & sun umbrellas that could be borrowed for the beach. Also a few english books if you are stuck for a holiday read. Good tourist info in foyer & always someone on desk. Night watchman also but resort safe as anything. We intend going back next year, couldn't fault it for great location & value for money. Aleghro is beautiful..nice walk along a prom in the night. Definitely recommend this place.

Handy location, but not very impressed!
I recently stayed at Residence Picalè with my parter and I have to say I wasn't impressed with the standard of the accommodation. The main gripe we had with Residence Picalè was the hidden extras, namely the additional charge for air con in the room, which we felt was a bit cheeky as in the Sardinian heat, it is essential for keeping cool. Without it the room was uncomfortable and smelly. For the price of the accommodation, I found it to be very shabby. We had uncomfortable beds with old sheets that had holes and stains on them. Also the room was only cleaned once a week, which wasn't enough in my opinion. Finally, the residence really needs to look at increasing the number of sun-beds around the pool. Each day we came down to the pool, all the beds were gone by 10am until the pool closed. Although the location is convenient for getting to the beach/city centre, I am not sure I would stay at Residence Picalè again. Considering the price of the room, the accommodation is shabby and in need of modernisation.

Great lokation
We - my teenage daughter and I - had a wonderful stay at Picalé located allmost on the beach. The recidence was clean, quiet and very comfortable. We had a studio appartment with a balcony overviewing the pool area. It would have been nice if we had been told at arrival that the recidence had an arrangement with the deckchair - company on the beach in front of the hotel. We paid 15 euro a day 50 meters further down the beach. Expensive! The recidence fits alla kinds of holidays - both romantic and familiar. We would go there again anytime. Very recommendable.

Nice weekend away
Booked this as a weekend away for my boyfriend and I. The hotel room, location and pool were all better than I had expected them to be from the price that I paid. Pretty good value for money. The kitchenette had no kettle but other than that very useful. Hotel located across the road from the beach (literally), down a short road from the supermarket (2 minute walk max) and about 25 minutes walk into the old town. There are restaurants along the via lido leading to the old town too.

Logement propre et corrspondant a la description. En revanche la piscine n est pas la meme que les photos presentées. Concernant le personnel de l'accueil tres mauvaise experience. ⚠️👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎⚠️ Nous avons eu un souci de volet en arrivant dans notre chambre vers 23h00. Nous avons appelé un membre du personnel qui est venu voir. Il a compris le problème car dans un autre appartement c’était pareil mais il ne pouvait rien faire le soir même. Nous avons donc dormi avec un volet ouvert donnant sur la rue bruyante et passante où se trouve les restaurants. Le lendemain le volet a été soi-disant réparé mais le jour passait quand même. Quelque jours plus tard notre plaque électrique ne fonctionnait plus… Au prix de la nuit, nous espérons un minimum de service. Nous nous sommes donc déplacés à la réception afin d’obtenir un geste et d’en faire part à la direction mais surprise !!! C’EST DE NOTRE FAUTE, NOUS AVONS CASSÉ LE VOLET. C’est une grosse blague ! Clairement à la réception, elle se foutait de notre gueule ! La résidence est conforme à nos attentes mais attention aux services qui laisse à désirer ⚠️👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎⚠️

Et lækkert hotel med god placering i forhold til strand og by. Vi var 5 pers. afsted, og der var god plads til os alle. Vi boede i én af de restaurerede lejligheder. Lækker lejlighed ved første øjekast, hvor vi følte at blive taget godt imod. Der var tallerkner, bestik og glas, men der manglede skærebræt, opvaskemiddel, opvaskebørste, skraldeposer, salt/peber og skarpe knive. Heldigvis var der to steakknive i skuffen, som vi brugte til at skære brød. Der eneste, der var sørget for, var et viskestykke til at tørre af med. Det stod ikke noteret nogen steder, at disse ting ikke var til stede. Komfuret virkede ikke til at starte med. Den ene persienne blev ved med at gå i stykker. Blæseren på toilettet larmede, så vi trak stikket ud. Sengene var meget hårde. Vi var glade for, at vi var der i ydersæsonen, for poolområdet må være meget fyldt i højsæsonen. Det er det ikke okay, at gæster forlader solvogne og bliver væk i flere timer og blokerer andre gæster for at få plads ved poolen. Vi oplevede flere gange gæster, der lagde deres ting ved murene, fordi solvognene var "booket". Der opfordres kraftigt til lave restriktion for denne form for opførsel. Når det så er sagt, havde vi en fantastisk uge, og vi er ikke afvisende for at komme tilbage igen. Nu kender vi forudsætningerne og kan tage de manglende ting med hjemmefra. God service fra personalets side over hele linjen. Tak for en dejlig ferie.

Porta finestra con chiusura rotta alla consegna dell’appartamento riparato in circa 30 minuti dal tecnico, Wi-Fi non funzionante, Piano cottura bloccato e sistemato rapidamente, La chiave elettronica dell’appartamento al nostro rientro alle ore 23 circa dell’ultima sera non funzionava e la reception era chiusa, Inoltre si sono “dimenticati” di restituirci i documenti sia al check-in che al check out. Vacanza pessima per cui sconsiglio la struttura.

E' stato nostro ospite insieme a sua moglie per una settimana, con 3 prenotazioni differenti e ha fatto 3 recensioni differenti, questo è esattamente la sintesi del vostro essere. 2 su 10 non meriterebbe neanche una risposta da parte nostra, comunque:-la porta finestra è stata prontamente riparata mezz'ora dopo la sua segnalazione (davvero un brutto servizio...),-il WI FI ha avuto un disservizio solo per un giorno;-il piano cottura non è MAI stato bloccato ma eravate voi che non sapevate utilizzarlo, il nostro staff è salito nel suo appartamento per mostrarvi il funzionamento e ci avete anche ringraziato;-la chiave elettronica ha avuto un problema e il nostro staff si è precipitato alle 23:00 in struttura per risolverlo immediatamente, appena 15 minuti dopo la vostra chiamata;-vi siete dimenticati per una settimana di ritirare le carte d'identità in reception, ma alla partenza eravate troppo occupati ad insultare ed aggredite il personale per richiederle indietro.State palesemente cercando una scusa per ottenere un rimborso e dato che appartamenti nuovi, ristrutturati, puliti, personale disponibile, cortese e professionale non bastano, siamo noi che vi sconsigliamo come ospiti.Il Residence Picalè e il suo staff.
