Premium Hotel of the Aeolian Islands
This is the best hotel we've stayed in anywhere. The room was spacious, cooled, humidified, and beautifully furnished. The staff is, without exception, skilled, devoted, and attentive to all needs. Our room was surrounded by a gorgeous garden. The infinity pool is wonderful. Breakfast is at a reasonable cost [first one is free] and the drinks at happy hour are excellent. The staff said that improvements are scheduled for this winter which include two new rooms and some infrastructure changes to the garden path. If you go to the Aeolian Islands, stay here!

While this seems like just a hotel, it’s really more of an experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Ravesi and cannot wait to return! It was perfect in every way.

A great experience
A really nice, boutique family run hotel. The hotel was great, with amazing views, run to a very high standard. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends. My Salina Island experience overall was excellent.

Review from solo, female non-white American: the views, gardens, history, and the pride that the people who work there take in all of that are the biggest perks. Great location too and bottom line I’d go back. Cons (I’m being picky because it’s pricey, so service should match): The breakfast buffet was very awkward. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a single woman or because I arrived late but though it’s advertised as a buffet, a man was standing there who helped me plate everything. It was very odd. I had to tell him each and everything I wanted and he would arrange separate plates for me. Either be a table service or be a buffet, you can’t try to be both. It was very strange and made me very uncomfortable. The infinity pool is beautiful but NOT warm as promised. It is as cold as any regular pool is. I would recommend that they have somebody clean the pool because there were lots of leaves and bugs on top of the pool. Either get a better filter system or have somebody skim the pool frequently. The shower was the smallest shower I have ever had in my entire life.

Brilliant - best hotel ever?
Pretty convinced this is the best hotel on the island. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. The seaside view, the spectacular service, the infinity pool, the delicious food, and the magical qualities of the property are just unbeatable. If you want a magical low key vacation, this is the place to go. You can’t find a better, more dedicated staff that serves from the heart.

My husband and I visited Hotel Ravesi for our honeymoon. The hotel went above and beyond to make our trip special. The rooms are all unique and the property is stunning. The breakfast, apperitivo, and cocktails were all so special - the food served is divine and the cocktails are all so delicious. We tried as many as we could during our stay! We cannot recommend this hotel enough, it is in the perfect location and the staff is extremely helpful and accommodating.

The friendly helpful staff make your stay even better. The Staff are always smiling. The rooms and facilities are very clean and modern. The bar, breakfast area, and pool are perfect. If you don’t have a relaxing great time here - sorry but it’s your fault! 😎

Beautiful family run property in the heart of Malfa. Great cocktails in the afternoon by the pool with free nibbles that are home baked. Staff went above and beyond to help you in anyway they could from local advice to planning your route off the island to your next destination. Can’t wait to come back.

Accommodation lacking and outdated
Poor tiny, outdated room, shower ran hot and cold and tiny in every sense of the word. Staff even apologised about the room. Shared terrace no problem but please provide enough chairs. Staff super super helpful, gardens gorgeous. However accommodation is lacking and not worth the cost. Bring the rooms up to speed and it would be a gorgeous place.

Stunning gardens beautifully maintained - hats off to the gardener. Great pool - small and only a few loungers but again beautiful. Accommodation let’s this place down. Old, musty smell and not worth £180 per night. Real shame - if they only upgraded their rooms to match the condition of the exterior.

The view
The view was beautiful. Looking out ot our door or window there was a beautiful infinity pool with the sea in the background. Perfect place for relaxing, but not a lot to do in the immediate area. The seaport, if you wanted to take a bus or taxi had a little shopping or in the alternativ, if you are comfortable you could rent a scooter or take a boat ride.

Superb Experience at this Exceptional Hotel!
From the moment we arrived at the Hotel Ravesi on Salina Island until our departure, we were completely impressed and inspired. The grounds are spectacular, with jasmine filling the air and gardens that delight everywhere you look. Our room was very comfortable, great beds and good shower. Nadia and Elena took very good care of us while we were there, they made excellent recommendations, including places to go, restaurants, what to buy for gifts, and they ordered our taxis to and from Santa Marina port. There are buses that take passengers to various towns on Salina. We enjoyed this transit and seeing other parts of this beautiful green island. The breakfast included a variety of tasty foods, warmly attended by Fredrica. The Hotel Ravesi aperativo time in the evenings, with freshly made original cocktails prepared by the charming Daniele, and unbelievably delicious spreads and other foods to sample, was a highlight. We had nothing less than a spectacular time at La Signora Carla's Hotel Ravesi. We give this hotel, and the lovely island of Salina, the highest recommendation!!

Wonderful stay
Hotel Ravesi is one of best hotel we've stayed in, and we've stayed in a lot. The position and view are outstanding but the most obvious thing is the service and the welcome of the staff and owner. The hotel made the trip to Malfa truly memorable

Great hotel and very helpful staff. A few pointers which I already advised management of were: - no tea/coffee making facilities in room - only gave us 1 X key to room ( 2 X preferably ) - safe not properly secured

Perfect, relaxing experience with an amazing view.
We spent almost three days (our entire stay in Salina) beside the pool and in the garden at Hotel Ravesi. A perfect place for relaxing, reading a book by the pool or just looking out at the view of the Mediterranean sea with Stromboli in the background in one direction or the volcanoes of Salina in the other direction. We met another guest who told us they had been there 6 days and it wasn't enough - we thought she was exaggerating, but she wasn't. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly, good at English (we are bad at Italian), particularly Elena who was at the front desk to welcome us. The hotel provides breakfast with homemade cakes and marmalades by the hotel's owner and some nibbles in the evening for aperitif. There is also a low key bar with an excellent bartender - using ingredients from the hotel's gardens in the drinks. The location is in the centre of Malfa, and walking distance from the cafes and restaurants. The room itself is the least exciting thing about the hotel (but you will not want to spend any time there considering what you can do outside!), simple, clean, good bed and good shower pressure. We had a standard room. Overall - highly recommended hotel. We're already wondering when we can come back.

Perfect stay in paradise
What a hotel! Unfortunately we had only booked 3 nights and left wanting to stay longer. The hotel is very close to the bus stop and town square, very convenient for buses around the island, snacks and meals. Our room was simple but comfortable. The surrounding gardens are beautiful with several seating areas for quiet times along with lounges around the pool, framed by Stromboli smoking in the distance. Breakfast was delicious and the complimentary evening buffet featured home made dishes along with gracious service and an excellent range of (purchased) wines, beers and cocktails. Overall air of relaxation; nothing pretentious just friendly, relaxed hospitality. We cannot praise the Ravesi highly enough, one of our top hotels on many trips to Italy.

Lovely hotel in Malfa
Loved our stay at Ravesi. Great location in a very quiet and relaxing Malfa town. Fabulous view. We were spoiled by the staff and by the owner who were always attentive to all our needs. Strongly suggested. Be careful about the flights suggested by Expedia as they do not take into account the travelling time required to reach the island.

A truly wonderful relaxing hotel. Very friendly staff who were so helpful leading up to and during our stay. Lovely infinity pool overlooking Stromboli. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the beautiful island of Salina. We will be back.

I can't rate this hotel highly enough. At Ravesi there is the most beautiful infinity pool with panoramic views that are gobsmacking. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful and the customer service in the office was the best I have experienced in the Aeolian islands. The rooms were simple but beautiful and the location of the hotel is in the centre of Malfia. It is easy to walk to the Malvasia vineyards or walk to have sunset appertivo’s at santa Isabel. If you are looking for a clam and tranquil place to stay, this is it.

Ravesi exceeded expectations! An easy bus ride from the hydrofoil dropped us off in malfa about 2 buildings down from the hotel. Perfect for relaxing with an easy bus ride to the other parts of the island just steps away from the front door. The view of the pool appears to cascade into the ocean, with views of Stromboli and Lipari in the distance-can't beat it! Breakfast is elegant on the backyard porch. The staff could not have been more helpful to us. The ristorante next door has the best pasta in town! Don't miss the spa, also right around the corner through an enchanting and bright alley way.

Great place for a relaxing stay
This is a very comfortable hotel, and excellent value. Clean, simple and elegant rooms that open onto well kept gardens. The location of the pool is excellent, and the village provides all that you need. There is an excellent bus service to help you get around the island, the only disadvantage being that it is not close to the departure point for most boat trips (some do leave locally - so get the right one!). It would be nice to have better wifi internet connectivity (LAN only in the rooms), and some international channels on the TV, but if your aim is to get away from it all, that is not such a big deal...

Hotel Ravesi - the perfect honeymoon hotel!
We really have nothing bad to say about this hotel; the staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean, very comfortable, idealy situated for walking around the local area and accessing local transport. At the time we visited it was quiet, which we really appreciated as we were on our honeymoon and wanted to relax. The views and scenery even from rooms without a direct view of the sea are wonderful and the breakfasts had a good variety of options, all of them very tasty. The pool is great too and most of the time we had it to ourselves. We were really glad that we chose to spend our honeymoon at this hotel - it was friendly, understated, quiet, homely and is now a very special place for us that we hope to go back to again and again.

Hote Ravesi in Malfa - Beautiful
My wife and I just returned from a 3 night stay at the beautiful Hotel Ravesi. The room was comfortable (even though we had the smallest room - "Superior Room"), the pool was gorgeous, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff was very friendly and helpful (especially Guiliana). The location was also excellent - we saw the other (4 & 5 star) hotels in Malfa, but they were relatively far away from the main piazza (and bus stop) and the rest of the town. Ravesi is literally next to the main church and the central piazza and all the cafes and restaurants in Malfa. This makes it easy to get to other parts of the island since you're close to the bus stop and the scooter rental places. Finally, the infinity pool is gorgeous and the area surrounding the pool is comfortable and relaxing. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers to the island of Salina.

Good choice in lovely little Malfa
The staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast is good, basic continental style (fruit, cereal, croissants, cold cuts). Free internet LAN in room and wifi if you can pick it up in the common areas. Lovely view from the pretty garden and a nice pool. Good value for money. You can reach the place by bus but the bus schedule is not reliable. A good way to get around Salina is by rented motorbike. We ate in the pizzeria that is attached and it was good, especially since it was easy. We were told we were upgraded to a deluxe (From the superior that we booked). It was room 8, next to the breakfast room. The room was spacious, clean and tasteful, with a great outside seating area and a view, but inside was a little too spartan in furnishings. We were there in April and the room was chilly. The bathroom was nice. There is a minibar.

Das Hotel Raffest ist sehr liebevoll angelegt und ausgestattet; eine alter, fantasievoll restaurierter ehemalige Weinkellerei im Familienbetrieb mit duftenden Gärten und einem spektakulären Meerblick Richtung Stromboli. Trotz Nordostlage kann man den ganzen Tag in der Sonne am Infinity-Pool liegen. Das Frühstück ist ein kleines, aber für italienische Verhältnisse recht vielseitiges Buffet- vermisst habe ich allerdings (vorgeschnittenes) Obst und Gemüse. Mittags wird ein einfacher Lunch angeboten und abends gibts von 18-20:00 Aperitif mit von der Signora selbstgemachten Antipasti und Salaten. Die Zimmer sind schlicht, aber hübsch- der Fernseher könnte außer ZDF noch ein paar mehr deutsche Programme haben- dafür funktioniert W-LAN mit insgesamt 4 Verteilerstationen auch auf den Zimmern hervorragend, streamen war kein Problem. Das Hotel liegt direkt im Ort von Malta neben einer Kirche; Restaurants, Cafés, ein Supermarkt und Geldautomat in der Nähe. Der einzige Strand der Bucht ist ein kleiner Steinstrand; da Malfa auf einer Klippe liegt muss man einen recht steilen Weg dorthin nehmen. Unten ist eine kleine Bar, die war aber jetzt, Anfang Mai, geschlossen. Das Wasser war auch noch recht frisch.....(einen Sandstrand habe ich auf der Südseite, in Rinella am Hafen gefunden). Es gibt auf der Insel regen Linienbusverkehr bis ca. 19:00 abends, und einige lohnenswerte Ausflugsziele. Es gibt Wanderwege zu den beiden Kratern der Insel.

Mme Ravesi et son staff sont attentionné et disponible. Ils nous ont aidé pour beaucoup de démarches, y compris récupérer les bagages que Alitalia avait perdus (9 jours!).
