On arrival the desk clerk was unable to find my booking and the manager was called. This proved to be an unhelpful experience even though the booking was found he stated that he couldn’t find confirmation of the payment, despite me showing him the confirmation emails from Hotel.com. He appeared completely uninterested leaving me to phone the UK landline available to me so they could resolve the matter. He then disappeared to his office leaving me to follow and enquire of the outcome after which he begrudgingly informed me he had found said payment confirmation. I was then shown to a somewhat tired room albeit a standard double however it was nothing as described in the advertising literature and could in no way come under the umbrella of AES Luxury Apartments. In general the hotel staff were polite and courteous however the managers initial approach somewhat soured the booking in procedure leaving me to wonder if further customer service training would be appropriate.
