Very convenient right on the seafront, and can walk into town about 2 mins away, nice comfy room beds comfy tv, tea and coffee facilities couldnt fault it.

The Cardigan Bay guesthouse, Aberystwyth
The Cardigan Bay Guest House was a pleasant surprise for staying in when we were travelling along the coast of Wales. Had a great view of the beach and a magnificent sunset. Friendly and helpful receptionist.

It was like staying in a youth hostel the bedroom door was damaged the bathroom tiles were cracked and there was a used ladies razor in the shower it was very run down

It was fine. The room was clean, the shower was good and the location is superb. The sheets were clean and good quality. Good tea and coffee left in the room. Decor bit tired in places, corners of skirting were grubby (in that way where they need repainting rather than cleaning), public areas are a bit "youth hostel". The ceiling in the bedroom was a suspended, tile affair straight from a 90s office and we should be beyond flourescent bulbs in bedrooms. The windows outside were filthy (sea spray and a winter film). The bed was a bit uncomfortable, pillows were crap and the room was tiny. It's also a bit confusing, as it's two properties, Cardigan Bay and Celtic Bay, knocked together. There are two rooms for each number and need to know which you're in. We disturbed some poor guy trying to get out key in his lock. Not sure why the don't just renumber? But the price is ok, the location is great, it was quiet. I'd stay again but keep expectations low.

Better pillows, please
The staff was amazing and can't fault the facilities and cleanliness. However, the pillows were incredibly uncomfortable and the mattress wasn't that great either. It's a shame because if they had invested a bit more on pillows, it would have been perfect.

THERE ARE NO BLANKETS ON THE BED OR IN THE ROOM ANYWHERE AND THE STAFF IS GONE. The walls are thin and other guests are awake and talking at 5 a.m. The wind blows down the bathroom vent and into the room that has no blankets.

The room was very tiny on the third floor up steep stairs. On arrival no staff was available to take cases upstairs. The shower didn’t work. There was nowhere to put anything. The sea view was very nice.

Great location. We came by train. A wonderful journey by the way. Left the car at home. Sea views lovely. Room very clean. A little bit tired but ok. Good tea and coffee offering. Check in chap lovely. Good value for money.

It was easy to find the Inn, which was located by the seaside. The Inn was beautiful, the food excellent. A great place to celebrate a special occasion, or a weekend away. It is very reasonable priced. A must
