Clean and modern hotel with spectacular glass sail structure. Walking into reception you are faced with a four story coloured light display in the atrium. I was lucky enough to have a room high up, which had a good view over the port.
The staff for booking in and checking out were efficient and polite.
The hotel is a little out of the centre with a long walk around the harbour, but the walk along the seafront to get to the hotel is pleasant.
The rooms were nicely furnished with the bed facing the picture window.
My husband and I have just returned from one of our best hotel experiences in all of our years of travel at the Hotel DO Placa Reial! The staff were so welcoming and helpful. You really feel as if you are staying at the home of really good friends or family. Our room was located above the hotel entrance, which was nice and quiet at all times. The room was a good size and had everything you could possibly want, including very comfortable beds, fluffy duvets, lots of pillows (including a pillow menu), a fridge with a variety of free drinks that are refilled each day (and more often with just your favourites upon request), a safe, TV and a large bathroom. In the bathroom were Molten Brown products to use in both the bathtub and large walk-in shower. There were also bathrobes and slippers supplied to use during our stay. The included breakfast was another wonderful experience to look forward to each morning. During the winter months, you can take breakfast in the basement restaurant or in your room and we greatly enjoyed both. The breakfast menu had a wide choice of hot and cold food and drinks. Everything was freshly prepared to order and so yummy. I really enjoyed the scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit mix, fresh baked pastry basket, fresh orange juice and thick Spanish hot chocolate. The location of the hotel is also very beautiful in a palm tree lined square. Everything you could possibly want to see and do is a short walk away. Really looking forward to returning!
This was my first time travelling to Barcelona and obviously first time at Eurostars Grand Marina.
We left just a few days ago (Dec, 21,2014) and I had one of the best hotel experiences of my travelling time.
Hotel staff was very very friendly and the location of the hotel was 5 minutes walking away from the La Ramblas and many other great places.
We simply loved our stay at Casa Fuster. An architectural gem at the top of Passaeig de Gracia just two blocks from the Diagonal.
Room was spacious, well designed and modern, yet stylish. Service was good. So was the view of Sagrada Familia basilica from the window.
Already looking forward to staying there again...
An excellent four days at the Majestic with an upgrade to an executive room on arrival.
The hotel was well positioned for all sightseeing and the staff so helpful, with the concierge booking trips for us each morning.
On my husband's birthday they placed in our room a bottle of Spanish bubbly and a cake.
I was on business but my wife came along for some vacation time. We both loved the hotel and their friendly staff. The location was based on my business meetings but many good restaurants and shopping were nearby. I am going back to Barcelona on business in the spring and will look into staying at the Claris again.
We checked in at 7am in the morning right after leaving our cruise. We had a seamless check-in process at the front office. The employees were very professional and very accommodating since our rooms were not ready. They took our luggage and kept them safe and gave us a quiet room to relax and use the internet and free wifi access since we didn't have our rooms yet. We left to explore the city 2 hours later and when we came back to the hotel later on that day, our luggage was in our room all ready for us. Amazing room if you like the super modern theme.
We stayed at this hotel for a week at the beginning of October. Our room was great ! extremly comfortable beds and exceptionaly clean. I liked staying here so much that i would definately stay here again. The room is quirky which added fun to our stay. Make sure you are definately comfortable in a relationship with your partner. We used the hotel as a base to go off and do touristy things, we were in and out all day. The lift for the hotel is at ground level and reception is on the first floor, so you bypass reception when coming in late at night and your not being spyed on by recpetion staff. The tourist bus is right outside the hotel. Good area , it has some lovely shops when walking to the centre, on the way to the Ramblas, a few good chioces of restaurants around you. The Citrus, good tapas and late night coffee / bars, Gaudi building a few doors away x The staff were brilliant, breakfast was limited but still had a variey of basic breakfast goodies was adequate enough for me. We were on the third floor and heard no niose at all as we over looked the passag de gracia, which is busy , also had black out curtains. Not a 5 star but more of a 4. Check in and out was effortless, very professional, made us feel welcome from the word go and appeared genuine. Over all experience was enjoyable x
